Wrestling legend
Hulk Hogan
died at the age of 71 in his Clearwater, Florida, home after a massive cardiac arrest. His death has gotten people from all corners of the world to come forward with their thoughts - some remembering the legend and his accolades, while others are a little less sad about the whole thing.
And one such post, from a Florida native, went viral recently. They have since deleted their comments, and apologize for being cruel with their words.
A Florida county school board chair was seen celebrating Hulk Hogan's death
Hulk Hogan died on the morning of July 24, which came as a shock to many. Since his death, his fans and everyone who knew the wrestling legend, have been paying tribute to the star. But amid all the heartfelt posts, there are some who have taken to "celebrating" the sudden death. And one Florida county school board chair was one of them. Sarah Rockwell of Alachua County Public Schools commented on a Facebook post about the death of
Hulk Hogan
, writing:
'Oh did Hulk die? I didn't even know.
Good. One less MAGA in the world."
She also added another comment, writing:
'He worked with the McMahons to union bust professional wrestling. He's never been a good guy. I feel absolutely nothing about his death.'
The comments soon went viral, and Rockwell had to suffer from a lot of negativity about it. It didn't take long for her to delete the comments, followed by an apology, saying she will try to earn back their trust after being so insensitive.
Facebook comment celebrating Hulk Hogan's death gets deleted with an official apology
Sarah Rockwell, a chair for the county school board in Florida, after making insensitive comments celebrating the death of
WWE
legend
Hulk Hogan
, has since deleted them. She has also apologized for the same, this time through her official school board Facebook account, writing:
'A few days ago, I made a cruel and flippant comment from my personal Facebook account on a friend's post regarding the death of Hulk Hogan. I deeply regret making that comment and have since removed it.
I want to make it very clear that I never have and never will wish harm on anyone regardless of whether we share political views. While I strongly disagree with some of the comments Hulk Hogan made, that is no excuse for my comment.
'
She further added:
'I also sincerely apologize for the way my comment has eroded confidence in my ability to represent all students, families, and staff in Alachua County. I want to assure all of you that the best interests of our children and our public schools are at the center of everything I do as a board member.
I hope I have shown that by my record of advocacy for children, families, and staff members throughout Alachua County. Again, I apologize for the hurt and distrust I have caused with my insensitive comment.
I will continue to do the hard work of putting our children and schools first. I hope that I can earn back your trust.'
There has been no further communication on the matter. For now, fans of the veteran star are awaiting details of his funeral arrangements, which are yet to be revealed.

John Cena Breaks Silence On Brock Lesnar's Shock Return At WWE SummerSlam

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar John Cena broke his silence on Brock Lesnar's shocking return. Brock made his return at WWE SummerSlam following Cena's match against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Cena dropped his title to Cody in a hard-fought clash and was attacked by Brock just after his match. Interviewed by 'Adam's Apple' immediately after the event, Cena opened up about the surprising return and his feelings towards a long-time rival. 'I've been saying the same thing for 25 years: They deal 'em, I play 'em.' 'I'm just really excited. We've got like 12 of these things left. I think SummerSlam was an indication from the audience where everybody kind of knows we're closing our book. And just because I close my book in December, that doesn't mean the WWE closes its books. They've got to continue their programming going forward. So, they're just trying to make the most exciting shows for the fans and for the dozen of them I got left – they deal 'em, I play 'em,' Cena replied. Earlier, CM Punk revealed that he is glad he found another opportunity to work with Cena before the latter exits the WWE arena. In an interview with ENews, Punk described his camaraderie with John Cena as a "marriage that unfolded on screen that we both needed at the time." "He was the goody two-shoes, Boy Scout, good guy that a lot of places booed out of the building," Punk said. "Then I was this despicable... bad guy, and people seemed to love it." "There's a part of me in my head that regrets stepping out because of what more we could have done," Punk asserted. "But it makes it so much sweeter that I'm back now, and I was able to come in here and work with him one last time," CM Punk added.
