DMT lab uncovered at Livermore residence, police say
(KRON) — Three Livermore residents were arrested after police discovered a DMT drug lab in their garage, authorities announced Thursday.
In March, the Livermore Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit was investigating possible drug sales occurring at a home in the 700 block of Wagoner Drive. A search warrant for the residence was granted after continuing surveillance and follow-up investigations.
The search warrant was served on April 10 for suspected methamphetamine sales. Officers located a lab used to create DMT, or dimethyltryptamine, inside the garage, Livermore PD said.
'DMT is an illegal hallucinogenic drug classified as a Schedule I controlled substance,' according to authorities.
One of the home's residents, identified by police as 50-year-old Kerrin Lambert, was arrested for sales of methamphetamine and cocaine, possession of hydrocodone for sale and manufacturing a controlled substance.
Two other residents, 26-year-old Dezirae Lambert and 43-year-old Eric Jensen, were arrested for sales of methamphetamine.
All three individuals were booked into the Santa Rita Jail.

San Jose's undocumented residents ‘under attack' by ICE, councilman says
(KRON) — Following recent arrests in San Jose carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, a city councilman declared that local undocumented residents are 'under attack.' Councilmember Peter Ortiz described increased federal immigration enforcement as 'disturbing.' Ortiz sent a memo Friday calling on the city to allocate $1 million in emergency funding to support and protect immigrant and undocumented communities. The councilman said he is making the request in the midst of increased ICE apprehensions and the recent opening of a new ICE office in South San Jose. 'Our community is under attack. DA: SF felon shot self, then victim during search for gang members
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A felon has been charged in a late-May Tenderloin shooting where he accidentally shot himself while firing from his car at a suspected gang member, prosecutors announced on Friday. Hit-and-run driver who ran over, seriously injured 5-year-old charged: SF DA At a Thursday arraignment hearing, Jonathan Contreras, 33, pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations involving the May 24 incident on the 500 block of Ellis St., said San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins' Office. 'Allegedly, he was in a vehicle and asked the victim, who had just exited from a business on the block, if he was a member of a gang,' said the DA's office in a news release. 'Mr. Contreras allegedly then pulled out a firearm, accidentally shot himself in the leg and then shot the victim causing great bodily injury.' He was charged with several crimes, including discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and having a concealed firearm in a vehicle. Contreras remains in custody with no set bail. 'The District Attorney's Office moved to have him detained pending trial due to the public safety risk he poses,' confirmed the DA's office.
