Dry for Easter Sunday, Rain Chances Return by Tuesday!
Easter Sunday is looking mostly cloudy at times, but dry, with afternoon highs in the mid 80s. We've got high pressure to our East and a ridge over the top of us preventing any system really making any headway into our area.
A sagging front will stall out over the area on Tuesday, but even then, rain chances will remain pretty slim locally, with the higher chances west and north of us. Overnight lows will be in the low 60s, and afternoon highs in the mid 80s to start the week, with upper 80s and maybe a few 90s to end the week. Bottom line, rain chances do return by Tuesday and stay with us for the rest of the week, but they will be rather slim.
There is some uncertainty toward the end of the week as to how much that ridge breaks down, and whether or not we see a slight increase in rain chances, so stay tuned.

Storm Team 3: Weather Aware over the next few days
We're tracking hot and humid weather over the weekend as highs both today and tomorrow reach the low to mid 90s and heat index values reach the triple digits. This heat will allow extra energy and strength to fuel incoming storms. Saturday looks to remain mainly dry throughout the day up until midafternoon through the evening when storms are likely to develop. There is a risk for isolated severe storms south of I-16 and scattered severe storms north of I-16 today. The main threats include damaging straight-line wind and heavy rain embedded within the storms. A dry period of weather moves in overnight, but storms ramp right back up late morning to early afternoon tomorrow. All of the viewing area sees a possibility of scattered severe storms tomorrow with the threats remaining the same with damaging straight-line winds and heavy rain. Because of the severe storm threat this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday are The storm chances do not look to be going anywhere as we continue to see fronts stall around us all week allowing for scattered storms to continue. Monday has already been put under a medium risk of seeing scattered severe storms. Monday will also be a with threats including gusty winds and heavy rain. It is possible that this severe storm risk will continue this upcoming work week as temperatures stay in the 90s and heat index values stay in or very close to the triple digits allowing extra energy to fuel storms. Pinpoint Weather Alert: Hot & muggy on Saturday, strong PM storms possible
(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good Saturday morning, and welcome to the weekend! We are tracking what will be quite a hot and muggy weekend, with a few thunderstorm chances during the afternoon and evening. A very summerlike pattern. Temperatures are starting in the mid- to upper 60s and lower 70s this Saturday morning, with highs expected to possibly crack the 90-degree mark for the first time this year later Saturday in many locations. Be sure to drink plenty of water and find as much shade as possible throughout the day. Saturday is a Pinpoint Weather Alert, as there will be a few hit-or-miss showers and storms that pop up during the afternoon. A storm or two this afternoon may contain gusty winds and small hail. Have the Pinpoint Weather App handy if you are out at any of the numerous outdoor events scheduled across the Queen City News viewing area this weekend. The better chance for more widespread storm chances will arrive late Saturday evening, as a decaying complex of storms moves into the region. Model data as of this morning is showing a weakening trend with that line of storms as it moves into the Carolinas tonight around 8-9 pm. However, frequent lightning and isolated damaging wind gusts are possible late this evening. Conditions will dry out tonight, but we will stay warm and muggy, with lows only falling into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Anticipate another hot and muggy day for Sunday. Temperatures will surge into the mid to upper 80s for the afternoon. Although we will not be tracking another complex of storms for Sunday, there will be another chance for pop-up showers and storms during the afternoon, before tapering off by the evening. Damaging wind gusts will once again be the top concern with any storms that become strong to severe on Sunday, but it is an isolated threat. Mixed clouds with seasonable temperatures today
Today: Mixed clouds, high 80 Tonight: Showers/ t-storms, low 64 Sunday: Scattered storms, high 78 (63) Monday: Rain & rumbles, high 77 (60) Tuesday: Chance of rain, high 79 (60) Wednesday: Partly sunny, high 83 (63) Most rain showers will hold off during the daytime hours. Next chance of showers and storms will arrive closer to sunset. Seasonable temperatures near 80 this afternoon will not feel as nice with some humidity sticking around. Additional rain rolls in tonight. This comes will a few chances for thunderstorms as well. No storms that do develop are expected to be severe. Humidity sticks around too keeping things muggy with mild temperatures falling into the mid 60s. Tomorrow clears out most of the rain during the morning. While most of the day will stay dry, there are going to be a few chances up pop-up showers and storms by the afternoon. A low pressure center scooting over the region will drop temperatures a little, but high will remain fairly close to seasonable. A cold front pushes through central Ohio on Monday bring yet another round of showers and storms. They are not expected to arrive until the late afternoon hours. This will also be the coolest day of the week. Conditions for the rest of the work week are going to stay mainly dry as temperatures eventually warm back up into the mid 80s.
