Episode 3 of FUBAR season 2 starts with a captured Chips with Luke and the others. However, give Greta is a smart cookie, they can't be sure that she won't extrapolate the data and find out the location of the other two plants.
As they make their way to the airfield to get a private plane, Aldon reveals that he's taken the little pig that saved his life with him. It's a hilarious turn of events, and it's only made all the more amusing when Roo reveals she's wearing one of Demps' shoes. I mean, the man is dead and doesn't need it anymore so she does have a point.
Unfortunately, Greta is waiting for them on the plane and she tranqs Luke and takes off, leaving them all stranded at the strip. As for Tina, she reveals to Barry about a list of outgoing transactions from the Swiss bank account connected to Dante. Money has been used to buy a comic book collection, linking back to Farkas, but there is, of course, an element of gameplaying from Tina here.
All of this is put on hold though as Barry and Tina work together to try and find Luke. Dr P joins them here as well, deciding to try and get through to Chips through some therapy sessions.
It's Tally who offers the crucial intel needed to crack the case though. When she finds out that Luke and Greta are heading for Estonia, she figures out that they're in Tallinn. The last time Luke saw her was at her place, which doesn't do Tally's confidence any favours.
Over in Estonia, Greta is determined to figure out the location of the plants no matter what. While they manage to broadcast audio from the apartment, what's said isn't exactly helpful for Tally. When the comms go down, Emma reluctantly agrees to go on a date with Chips as a way of having him reveal the location of Greta's apartment.
All of this comes about from Greta slipping over and crushing the ear-piece. Eventually the torture turns to reminiscing on old times, as the pair discuss their spy days. Luke wants Greta's help in stopping Cress, pointing out she's better than this and she can make something of herself rather than working with terrorists. However, she sees Dante Cress' 'solution' to the world as a viable way of resetting the shitstorm that the planet has turned into.
At the dinner date, Emma is forced to dance with Chips, which certainly changes her opinion of him. While this is going on, Greta and Luke work together to stop armed guards that break in and attack.
The group are eventually reunited but Greta slips away in the chaos. In the car, she plays a song which reminds her of the past, where we see that she was actually aware of Luke's relationship with Tally. She was going to confess her love to him but ended up heartbroken instead. Unfortunately, it seems her revenge mission could coincide with killing Tally.
The Episode Review
The editing in this episode is solid, cutting back and forth between the two different 'dates' as Greta and Luke wind up together while Chips and Emma clash and then dance. It's a nice way of contrasting the two storylines, and how this father/daughter duo are more alike than perhaps they'd care to admit.
The overarching story continues to intrigue though and the ending certainly hints that Greta could be setting her sights on Tally next in order to take her out of the picture. Whether she'll be successful or not though is still up for debate, but one thing is clear though – this conflict is far from over.
