The 2nd PUC Exam 2 was conducted from April 24 to May 8, 2025. This exam was held for students who either wanted to enhance their marks or could not sit for the first exam due to valid reasons such as attendance shortage.
A total of 1,94,077 students sat for this exam. Out of these, 60,692 students have passed the examination, leading to a pass percentage of 35.26%, which comprises regular, repeater, and private candidates. Among them, 71,964 students retook the exams specifically to enhance their scores. Out of these, 41,719 managed to achieve better marks. The majority of these students focused on subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, indicating a strong intent to improve their CET rankings.
Students must get at least 35% in each subject to qualify the exam. This consists of a minimum of 25 marks in theory and 11 marks in practical.

BENGALURU: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on Saturday announced the results of the 2025 Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to professional courses. The results are available for public access on the official websites and after 2 pm. This year, a total of 3,30,787 candidates registered for CET, with 3,11,996 appearing for the exam. Subject-wise, 3,11,690 wrote the Physics paper, 3,11,767 attempted Chemistry, 3,04,170 wrote Mathematics, and 2,39,459 appeared for the Biology paper. The merit list has been prepared based on revised answer keys finalised by subject experts. As per their recommendations, one question in Physics, two in Chemistry, and two in Biology were corrected. Evaluation was carried out in accordance with these final answers, Higher Education Minister Dr MC Sudhakar, while announcing the results, said. The minister said that the CET rank list was compiled by considering the highest marks obtained in the first and second examinations of the Second PUC, conducted by the KSEAB. For the first time, Second PUC marks of CBSE and ICSE students studying in Karnataka were collected online and used for ranking.

Additionally, Second PUC marks for CBSE and ICSE students studying in Karnataka were retrieved directly online and included in the ranking process. The board wile announcing the result said that the announcement was delayed by 4–5 days due to approximately 10,000 candidates entering incorrect registration or roll numbers. Candidates from other boards and states were provided with a portal to enter their marks. Their submitted mark sheets were cross-verified before rank assignment. For the first time, original document verification was completed prior to result declaration. This was accomplished online via SATS and RD data, and in-person verification was conducted for special cases at respective PU colleges and at the KEA office. In total, the documents of 3 lakh candidates have been successfully verified and prepared for seat allotment.
