NFL Legend Charles Woodson Makes Major Personal Announcement
Despite growing up in Ohio, former defensive back Charles Woodson chose to attend the Michigan Wolverines, the rival of his home state.
It turned out to be a tremendous decision for Woodson, who carried the success he found in Ann Arbor—including winning the Heisman Trophy in 1997—into a Hall of Fame NFL career. He was inducted in 2021 after an iconic career with the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers from 1998 to 2015.

Despite all of his achievements, Woodson made a major personal announcement on Tuesday revealing that he has been approved at the league's meeting to become a limited partner in the Cleveland Browns' ownership group, aiming to make a significant impact in the state of Ohio.
Woodson's statement read, "Growing up in Fremont, Ohio, it was a dream come true to play in the National Football League. In my wildest childhood dreams, I never considered the opportunity to become a limited partner of an NFL team, let alone the Cleveland Browns in my home state of Ohio. It is among my greatest honors to join the Haslam and Johnson families and the entire Haslam Sports Group to become a limited partner of the Cleveland Browns, one of the NFL's most storied franchises."
The Browns posted Tuesday, "We're thrilled to welcome Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee, Super Bowl Champion and Ohio Native @CharlesWoodson as a limited partner to the ownership group for the Cleveland Browns."
He'll join the Haslam Sports Group, which is led by Jimmy Haslam and his wife, Dee. Jimmy purchased the Browns in 2012 for approximately $1 billion, a team that was valued at around $977 million at the time, according to Forbes.

Throughout his NFL career, Woodson was a nine-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro, Super Bowl champion, and received numerous defensive awards over his 18 seasons in the league. Recently, he has served as an analyst for college football on "Big Noon Kickoff," and as of now, his role in that capacity remains unchanged.

'Certainly all the indications, if you look at it logically, are that he's coming based on his comments about, 'There's a team that plays in Chicago (this year) that I might play for,' 'I'm not playing in New Orleans.' 'He took one visit, he's been throwing with DK Metcalf, he talks all the time with (head coach) Mike Tomlin, I know he's talked with (offensive coordinator) Arthur Smith. There's all these signs that he's coming but he's not affirmatively said, 'Hey, June 9, book me the ticket, I'm coming in and I'm going to join this team.' That has not happened as of this point.' Rodgers announced on the 'Pat McAfee Show' that he's been dealing with matters in his personal life that have prevented him from 100% committing to the Steelers right now. Over the weekend, the 'Up' singer posted photos and videos of the massive bouquets of flowers that were delivered to her home, in the same slideshow where she confirmed a new romance that is also sweetening her life. In the past few months, there have been rumors that Cardi was in a relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs, following her divorce filing from Offset last July. In March 2025, Diggs signed a three-year deal with the New England Patriots for $63.5 million, where he will play as a wide receiver. At the time of his signing, Diggs had already been in the NFL for 10 seasons. When he graduated from the University of Maryland in 2014, he was signed the next year to the Minnesota Vikings as a fifth-round draft pick. He inked a four-year, $2.5 million deal, which he served out, before he was traded to the Buffalo Bills in 2020. Then, he stayed with the Bills for four years, before playing one season for the Houston Texans in 2024. Diggs has now joined the Patriots having played 144 regular season games with 857 receptions for 10,491 yards and 70 touchdowns. In 2020, he lead the league in receptions. He will make his debut for New England this coming fall. Stefon Diggs is a father to one—a daughter named Nova, who he welcomed in October 2016. The identity of Nova's mother is not publicly known, though some believe it to be Diggs's ex-girlfriend, the pop singer Tyler-Marie. While Diggs mostly keeps his personal life out of the spotlight, Nova has made a few notable appearances throughout the wide receiver's career. For instance, when he was signed to the Buffalo Bills, Nova sat on his lap for the ceremony, where she jokingly quoted the iconic Jerry Maguire line 'show me the money' to the Bills general manager Brandon Beane, as seen in the clip above. Back in 2018, he shared a picture of it to his Instagram, with a caption that read: 'I miss you now more than ever... just wish you was here to see your sons. We love you. On June 1, 2025, Cardi B went public with her and Diggs's relationship, sharing a slideshow of photos which included one of her and the Patriots player getting cuddly on a boat, while a video saw Cardi dancing on Diggs.
