King Charles made 'emotional' confession to Queen Camilla after health battle, lip reader says

Daily Mirror18-07-2025
A lip reader has claimed that King Charles was overheard making an 'emotional' confession to Queen Camilla during last year's Trooping The Colour, as he continued his recovery from cancer
A lip reader has disclosed they witnessed a heartfelt admission by King Charles during last year's Trooping The Colour ceremony. The monarch was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer last year, yet continued performing royal engagements including attending key ceremonies despite his condition.

A forensic lip reader has examined a private exchange between Charles and Queen Camilla whilst they travelled in their carriage during the event to determine what the pair appeared to be discussing.

After careful analysis, lip reader Nicola Hickling believes Charles may have experienced an emotional moment in the carriage whilst continuing his cancer recovery journey.

Speaking in the documentary, Lip-Reading The Royals: The Secret Conversations airing on Channel 5 tomorrow (Saturday, July 19), Nicola claimed it was straightforward to identify Charles was experiencing an emotional moment through the King's arm movements.

She explained: "Here Queen Camilla senses Charles' emotional state and she says: 'Are you absolutely certain?'. Charles responds, he makes a subtle hand gesture which appears to reinforce his own determination as he replies, he says: 'I'll get through today, it makes me feel emotional and I don't know why'.
"At this point he uses his hand to wipe away perhaps a tear from his eye. I can see on closer inspection that his eyes are quite red and he does look quite tearful."

This isn't the first time a lip-reader has revealed the private exchanges of the royals during public events.
At this year's Trooping The Colour, expert lip-reader Jeremy Freeman caught a snippet of dialogue between Charles and Camilla as they journeyed in a carriage.
Jeremy claims that the king was overheard saying: "Absolutely crazy, disgrace, absolutely extraordinary."

He also noted that the King remarked: "Meanwhile, not like me. That's the difference between me and him."
While the identity of the person Charles may have been referring to remains unknown, speculation suggests it could be his brother Prince Andrew, given their reportedly strained relationship.
Baroness Ayesha Hazarika also weighed in, stating that the decision was a significant blow to the Duke of York, elaborating: "That certainly sent a signal Andrew and it certainly sent a signal to the wider public that there was definitely a cooling in relations."

Millionaire family who blow £40k per holiday muck out sheep on Lancashire camping trip, in Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday

A MILLIONAIRE couple, who have £2500 a week in disposable income were left horrified when they had to muck out alpacas as a "fun" activity on Channel 5's Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday. After giving the Leaf family a glimpse into their lives by taking them to a hotel in Malta that cost more per night than their monthly rent, the Dissont family were whisked off to rural Lancashire for a budget break. 3 The Dissont family were less than impressed by the glamping break Credit: Channel 5 3 They couldn't believe how little the Leaf's spent on their holiday Credit: Channel 5 3 Andre was not impressed when he had to muck out the sheep Credit: Channel 5 Health and Aesthetics clinic owners Sam and Andre, who earn up to £80,000 a month, blow up to £40,000 on a single break, so they were less than impressed by the Leaf's glamping holiday, with Andre describing the glamping pods as akin to a "sewage silo." "It's smaller than some of the bathrooms in the hotel's we've stayed in", said Sam, who is used to five star luxury. "I've never been on a holiday where I could touch all four walls at the same time", Andre admitted. The couple and their 14-year-old daughter were immediately unsure whether they would be able to hack the trip. "There's no holiday feel to it, it's just endurance", said Andre, after having to lug his suitcase across a muddy field. The posh family, from Cheshire, who blew £155 on a guided tour in Malta, were shocked to find that the same cost was their entire spending budget for the four-day Lancashire trip. "That is so tight", Andre fumed. "We spend that much money just on getting to the airport." The holiday doesn't get off to a great start, with Sam moaning about the cold temperatures and the fact they're "stuck in a field", with nowhere to go. The couple were horrified by the communal bathroom, and couldn't believe that they had to cook food for themselves. Inside 'real-life Love Island' where super-rich 'drop £3k a day' and kinky clubs sweep up boozy Brits booted out from Ibiza "When it comes to a holiday, I want to be catered for", Andre said. Sam completely refused to use the shared shower and decided to fast rather than eat a breakfast of eggs on toast. Activities on the trip included volunteering with alpacas and paddle boarding, which Andre described as "holiday hell." And although the family did enjoy cuddling the animals, they were less than impressed when it came to mucking them out. Top Hacks for Holidaying with Kids IF you've got plans to go on holiday with your little ones this summer, here's some advice to take on board. The Dissont's couldn't wait to get home to their huge mansion, after admitting that their perspective on budget holidays hadn't changed. However, daughter Kasia said she enjoyed the £900 Lancashire break just as much as the £16,000 Malta getaway. The rich family showed their generous side though, by offering to pay for the Bolton-based Leafs to go on holiday to Greece. "You totally deserve it", they told the "selfless" family. In floods of tears, the grateful family said the gift was "incredible".

Gabby Logan recalls crushing low point after brutal Strictly Come Dancing exit

Gabby Logan has cast her mind back to her experiences on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing - and admits she was left fearing the nation hated her as she failed to secure votes Gabby Logan has candidly reflected on a time she felt she was deeply unpopular. The 52-year-old radio and television presenter is best known for hosting sports programs for the BBC, ITV and Channel 5. ‌ In August this year, she will land arguably her biggest job to date - as a new host of Match of the Day following the exit of controversial footballer Gary Lineker. But it is not just giving her two pence about on-pitch action that has drawn attention to Gabs. ‌ She has also enjoyed a foray into the world of competitive reality shows - popping up to present shows like the diving competition Splash! and celebrity sheep herding show Flockstars. Back in 2007, however, Gabby stepped out from behind her presenting lectern to be a contestants on hit show Strictly Come Dancing. ‌ The star was partnered with professional dancer James Jordan and, being season five of the long-running show, this was the time when Tess Daly and the late Sir Bruce Forsyth were hosts of the show. The judging panel consisted of Arlene Phillips, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and the late Len Goodman. While Gabby made it through three rounds of the show before she was voted off, she is convinced that she became a hate figure during her time on the ballroom floor. She featured on the series at the same time as her husband, Kenny Logan - was also competing with Gabby's dance partner James' wife Ola Jordan. ‌ Wales Online quotes Gabby saying: "I had an amazing experience on Strictly, I was only on it for a few weeks, but I had an amazing experience — but also, a kind of life-changing experience in many ways." She elaborated: "[It] sounds a bit dramatic, and you hear people going 'Strictly changed my life', but this wasn't in a good way." Giving more clarity, she went on: "When you get voted out of Strictly, it's so shocking, because you go in every week starting to work on your following week's dance, and you don't expect to go home." ‌ And she revealed she was left being "very much aware that people didn't like" her during her time on the show. She also told Jessica Ennis on the Gold Minds podcast: "It was the fact that obviously people didn't vote for me — and it sounds a bit pathetic — but you realise when it's a reality show that it's about whether people like you. And I was very much aware that people didn't like me. ‌ "I was kind of like, they didn't like me enough to vote for me... It was a very sobering kind of experience because in the days afterwards, not only was I dreadfully missing the dancing, but also realising I kind of felt like, 'Oh, what was it about me that people didn't relate to?'" While Gabby and James crashed out in week four, her rugby star husband managed to make it through five more weeks before he too was voted off. Their season was awash with big name star - with Sir Rod Stewart's wife, Penny Lancaster, acting legend Stephanie Beacham, and model bombshell Kelly Brook were among those taking to the dance floor. The finalists that season included EastEnders star Matt Di Angelo and TV presenter Gethin Jones. While Mis-Teeq singer Alesha Dixon proved to be the victor of the show - and later became a judge on the series before being poached to judge on Britain's Got Talent.

Woman with 'world's biggest lips' reveals what she looked like before surgery

A woman who claims to have the 'world's biggest lips' has revealed what she looked like before undergoing dramatic surgery and getting copious amounts of lip filler. Andrea Ivanova from Bulgaria regularly hits the headlines due to her enhanced appearance, which has seen her fork out an estimated $27,000 on lip filler alone after starting her transformation in 2018. The 27-year-old has previously admitted she struggles to find love because of her bold look, but it hasn't stopped her from achieving her goal of having the most exagerrated lips and cheeks in the world. Now, Andrea has revealed what she looked like before altering her face via cosmetic enhancements. In her 'before' photos, a youthful Andrea can be seen with regular proportioned lips. But since undergoing her enhancement journey, she has become scarcely recognizable. Her long list of treatments included chin shaping, enlargement and lengthening; jaw shaping and lip augmentation; as well as cheekbone enhancement - all at once. She's previously spoken about how she likes to stand out from the crowd with her unique look. 'I like exaggerated things like huge lips, a face with many fillers, heavy and eccentric make-up. 'I don't like boring ordinary appearances and I am a fan of huge shapes and eccentric beauties. Natural beauty is boring to me so I decided to change my appearance radically.' The social media influencer has spoken openly about having had six procedures done in a single day as an 'experiment' - even though her usual doctor refused to do it. 'My doctor was afraid to inject more hyaluronic acid into my lips, but I was adamant that I wanted more, and I will not stop. 'I wanted to do six procedures at once. Until now, I always did these on different areas of the face on different days.' Andrea had previously only ever had a maximum of three needles in her face at the same time. 'But this time, I wanted to experiment with myself to see how many injections and [amounts of filler] would affect my body,' she said. She even had to seek out a doctor in Germany to do the procedures, which went ahead in February last year, as her usual surgeon simply refused. And even though Andrea was excited about the experience, she confessed it had been extremely painful. 'I have pain all over my face right now and my jaw and chin hurt a lot,' she said at the time. 'It's hard for me to smile because of the pain in my cheekbones and there's a pulling sensation over my face.' But Andrea insisted the feeling was normal after treatment because the 'filler hadn't settled into place'. Although she finds eating difficult, Andrea is adamant her lips 'don't hurt'. She added: 'I only feel a slight discomfort, but that's where I have the most amount of filler and where I've had injections the most amount of times. The more filler there is, the less the area hurts.' Despite the pain, Andrea doesn't have any plans to slow down or reduce her voluptuous look. The former philosophy student planned to go to Germany to visit the same surgeon, as her usual doctor is skeptical about going forward with her transformation.' But now even the German medical practitioner has revealed their concerns. 'I had no fears about having so many injections at once because I trust my doctor and they are a great professional in cosmetic surgery,' Andrea said. 'But they are afraid I'll get necrosis and have to have the tissue surgically removed from my lips if I carry on. 'There are risks involved, such as inflammation, and raised body temperature, especially with so much at once.' 'I have facial swelling and bruising right now, which is normal due to the many needles, but I think in a few days, I'll recover.' She continued: 'You shouldn't judge people for their looks. It's their taste and no one has the right to be offended because of it. 'I think I'm going to carry on doing multiple injections in one day going forward, as it makes me very happy.'
