Premier League club set to get green light for £130million stadium expansion that will boost capacity by thousands
The club moved into their current home ground all the way back in 1898 - 127 years ago.

And now Nottingham Forest are preparing to make their latest improvements to the historic stadium.
The City Ground was updated in 1957, 1965, 1980, 1993 and 1996.
But no major work has been done on the venue for almost 30 years.
Now, though, Forest have taken a big step closer to moderning and expanding their home.
Plans to bulldoze and rebuild the Peter Taylor stand will be put forward to the Rushcliffe Borough Council on June 26.
And the planning committee will consider the application after the council planning department "recommended that planning permission be granted subject to a series of planning conditions".
Should it get through as expected, Forest can start making progress with the update.
The plans will see a new 10,000-seater stand built.
It would also be the tallest of the stands at the stadium at 38m tall.
The new main stand's opening should take the City Ground capacity from 30,404 to an initial 35,000.

When first proposed in 2019, the estimated cost was £94m.
However, that has now risen to £130m.
The longer-term plan is then to develop the Bridgford end and increase the number of seats to 40,000 while a 169-apartment block of flats is also in the works.
A Forest and council joint statement said: 'Nottingham Forest has been in regular dialogue with Rushcliffe Borough Council, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council regarding the redevelopment of the City Ground.
'The parties can confirm they are working towards the Rushcliffe Borough Council Planning Committee date of Thursday, 26 June to consider the application.
"There will be no further comment other than as required by the relevant legal process.'
It is thought the final administration will be through in 2026, with Forest set to start construction work as soon as possible after that.

Goodchild excited to race on home waters in The Ocean Race Europe
The 35-year-old, who lives in France but calls Falmouth home, is representing Team Biotherm in the 4,500-nautical mile multi-stage offshore race which began in Kiel this week and ends in Montenegro on September 20. The opening leg of the contest docks in Portsmouth on August 14, with the race departing from the Royal Yacht Squadron for leg two three days later. 'I'm definitely excited,' said Goodchild, who is joined in the boat by skipper Paul Meilhat, co-skipper Amelie Grassi, Jack Bouttell and Gauthier Le Boc. 'I have spent a lot of my racing life in France, as that is where the offshore racing world is based, but bringing these really cool boats which we sail around the world into Portsmouth is really exciting. 'I will catch up with some old faces and show them what we do, so I'm really looking forward to it and I am hoping there will be a good turnout!' Sam Goodchild will race in The Ocean Race Europe with Team Biotherm (Image: The Ocean Race Europe) Goodchild is one of seven Brits competing in the race this year but there are no UK-based teams, something he hopes can soon change. 'I enjoy France but I live out there for work,' he said. 'I have been over there for the last 10 years for sailing. 'I come back regularly and I still consider the UK home but being over there helps my career the most. 'If we can have more interest in sailing, more people sailing and more British sailors on the start line, that is definitely the direction I want it to go in.' Goodchild was part of the crew who finished second in The Ocean Race two years ago, a worldwide event. He feels he learned plenty from that experience as he targets success this time around. 'Two years ago, it was my first time sailing those sorts of boats so it was a learning curve,' he said. 'The race lasted six months as opposed to six weeks so it was a bit more of an endurance. 'This time, I have been racing in these sorts of boats for the last three or four years non-stop, which changes the whole scenario, so I am looking forward to the challenge. 'Of the seven crews here, they all have good sailors on and the level of competition will be very high, which is what we are looking for.' Sustainability is one of the key aspects of The Ocean Race Europe and it is also a topic close to the heart of Goodchild, who is aware of the impact taking part in a sport he loves can have on the climate. 'The whole team makes an effort as to what we can do to reduce our impact,' he said. 'We travel around Europe, which isn't great, but we try and do it by train, which takes a bit longer but it is nicer and more interesting. "In partnership with the Tara Foundation, we have also installed a microscope on board to capture microplankton for use by scientists (Eco Taxa Database), who then use and analyse the data. 'It is a big part of our sport at the moment, what we can do to reduce our impact, so we all have to do our bit.' Seven international teams, seven stopovers, 4,500 nautical miles, racing for the ocean. The Ocean Race Europe comes to Portsmouth 14 - 17 August - the city where the race first began in 1973 as the Whitbread Round the World Race.

Tottenham's Yves Bissouma dropped by Thomas Frank for Super Cup due to persistent lateness
Yves Bissouma has been left out of Tottenham's Super Cup squad against Paris Saint-Germain for disciplinary reasons. Bissouma has been left at home after being late 'several times' this summer. It is an unhelpful distraction to Thomas Frank 's attempt to mark his debut with silverware. Frank will take charge of his first competitive match as Spurs head coach on Wednesday at Stadio Friuli in Udine and could lift a trophy if they can upset Champions League winners Paris St Germain. 'I think for the team, for me, for everybody involved at Tottenham Hotspur, it's a massive game,' Frank reflected. 'A great challenge and an even bigger opportunity. Gary Neville believes the capture of a new goalkeeper can help make Manchester United a top six side - especially if their new look attack is able to produce in the final third Gary Neville has claimed Manchester United can finish in the top six if their three new strikers notch 40 goals - and they get another goalkeeper to keep them out at the other end. Ruben Amorin's side finished 15th last season after scoring only 44 goals in Premier League games. But the £73.7m signing of Slovene Benjamin Seska has taken their summer spending on strikers to over £200m following the arrival of Bryan Mbeumbo and Matheus Cunha. And former Reds defender Neville believes there will have to be an improvement on the last torrid campaign. 'I think they'll be looking at Champions League, I think that'll be the ambition,' he said. 'I think we've gone past the point now where we say Manchester United have to win the league, I think that's unrealistic. 'I think top six would be healthy, I think that my feeling is probably between seventh, eighth is where I'm looking at it now, but I think they could, without Europe, they could get into the top six if they have a good run, and those players settling up front, which I'm actually quite happy about the players they've signed up front. 'I didn't think they had the £200 million to spend. If you said to me after that Tottenham game in the Europa League that Manchester United would have a forward line of those three that they've signed, I'd have snapped your hand off. I like the profile of those players, whether they settle in now is obviously the big question. Two of them are proven Premier League players, obviously they've got to step up a level, Sesco's young, he's got potential. He's young, can he get off to a good start? That's important for him. 'Can they embed themselves at United? Can they get the probably 35-40 goals which would be par for those three players? If they can get 40 goals, United's goals last season was terrible, they've got a good chance of getting into that top six, but they've got to settle those three players, and we can't take that for granted anymore at United. If they get a goalkeeper, I think that they could get into the top six, but a lot of things have to go on.' Manchester United conceded 54 Premier League goals to finish the season with a goal difference of -10. Paris-Saint Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is available for £30m - and big wages - as an upgrade from Andre Onana. Amorin will also have more time to work with his players without European football. Antonio Conte took Chelsea from 10th to champions in his first season in 2016-17. 'I think it'll help, it has to help, because there's basically more training time, less pressure on the players, less injuries, it means that the best players can play more often in the league, and not have those demands of a Thursday night game,' Neville said. 'But I think we've got to start the season well, there were some tough fixtures early on.' Neville claimed Sunday's clash with Arsenal was a good opening game for his club. 'I just think they need something big,' he said. And fellow Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher reckons Arsenal and Mikel Arteta are in even bigger need of a strong start to the season. 'It's a big game, we're out for Arsenal,' he said. 'I think there's going to be that much pressure on Arsenal, just because we're in year five now, I think it's year six, and it just feels like right from the start everyone's eyes are on them. so I don't think it's a great game actually for Arsenal, to kick off the season as well, because of the situation that they're in, where it just feels like all eyes are on them from the very start. 'I'm not saying it's Premier League or bust, that type of thing, because I actually think Mikel Artel has done a brilliant job, and to be second, year after year, people sort of sneer at him, Arsenal finish second again, but there's a lot of good clubs in this, so to second every year is not a mean feat. 'I think it would be good for them to get some sort of trophy. I think they had a good result in their last pre-season match but I think the one before that, they lost at home, and there was a few murmurs in the crowd. It's not just people outside, people in the stadium are worried. It's like: 'This has to happen now'.'
