Nagpur: In a major relief for students and colleges, the state Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has announced an additional entrance exam for BBA, BCA, BMS, and BBM courses for the 2025-26 academic year, titled 'MAH-BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM-(Additional CET)-2025'.
The decision followed numerous requests from students and institutions after the declaration of HSC and CBSE XII results, with many aspirants citing unawareness of the initial CET held on April 29-30, 2025, or inability to attend due to unavoidable circumstances.
The move is likely to benefit mainly BBA colleges and aspirants. The additional CET aims to ensure fair access to education for all eligible candidates.
Students who missed the earlier exams or wish to improve their scores can apply. The highest score from either attempt will be considered for admission, with candidates required to upload all scorecards to the official system for processing. Online registration for the additional CET is open from June 12 to June 20, 2025, via www.mahacet.org.
The initial CET results were announced on June 4, 2025, and the new exam date is yet to be confirmed. This move has been widely welcomed, addressing the concerns of students and colleges while reinforcing equitable access to professional courses.
