Missing influencer search expands as police, fire dept use drones in Muar
Muar district police chief ACP Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz confirmed that search and rescue operations have expanded, with drones deployed by the fire and rescue department. The police K9 Tracker Dog Unit also assisted in combing the area.
Ground searches covered a two-kilometre stretch, including the river, nearby villages, and jetty areas. Authorities have interviewed villagers and taken statements from the victim's wife and sister. So far, only slippers and a cap belonging to Ija have been found.
Raiz Mukhliz added that the victim's mobile phone remains missing and appears to have been switched off since the day of the incident. Police urge the public to avoid speculation while investigations proceed under a missing persons case.
The incident occurred on Monday when Ija's Perodua Axia veered into the river, but he was not found inside the vehicle.

MACHANG: The Attorney General's Chambers will re-examine the case of a motoring influencer who staged his disappearance, which triggered a large-scale search-and-rescue operation in Muar, Johor. The influencer, Tengku Nizaruddin Tengku Zainudin – better known as Ija – and his younger brother Tengku Abdul Aziz were sentenced to one month's jail and fined RM1,500 each on Friday. Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar said although the pair had been sentenced, his office would conduct a thorough review of the charges and facts of the case. 'I cannot comment further at this point because sentencing falls under the jurisdiction of the court. 'But we will look into the matter again comprehensively. That's all I can say for now,' he told reporters while attending an event at SK Pulai Chondong here yesterday, according to Sinar Harian. On July 15, Tengku Abdul Aziz, 30, lodged a police report claiming that Tengku Nizaruddin, 38, had gone missing. The report prompted a four-day operation involving more than 70 policemen. Fire and Rescue Department personnel also carried out more than 10 high-risk dives in muddy water at a river where the car the influencer was driving was located. Police later found inconsistencies in the information provided and broke the case. The incident sparked public outrage and frustration among rescuers.

Nurse killed in Keningau accident
Fire and rescue personnel extracting the victim's body from the car. KENINGAU (July 26): A nurse was killed in a road accident along Jalan Patikang Ulu, here on Friday. Keningau District Police Chief Superintendent Yampil Anak Garai said the 47-year-old victim, who was attached with the Keningau Hospital, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics in the 4.10pm incident. Based on police investigation, the victim was driving her Perodua Axia car and was making a turn into Patikang Laut when a Toyota Prado, driven by a 62-year-old man, rammed the right side of her car. The victim was pinned at the driver's seat and fire and rescue personnel extracted her body and taken to the Keningau Hospital for a postmortem. Family members have been notified of the incident, said Yampil. The Toyota Prado driver has been detained for investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
