KEA revises choice entry, fee payment schedule for first-round UG CET/NEET admissions
For Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary, B.Pharm, Pharm-D, Yoga and Naturopathy, BPT, BPO, Allied Health Sciences, Architecture, B.Sc Nursing, and Homeopathy courses, choice entry will remain open until 11 am on August 14. Fee payment can be made until 4 pm the same day, and the last date to report to colleges is August 15.
For Medical and Dental courses, the choice entry link will be active from 1 pm on August 14 to August 16. Fee payment is allowed until August 18, and candidates must report to colleges by August 19.
Those opting for Choice-1 must pay fees online, download the seat allotment letter, and report to the allotted college with all original documents. Document verification will now be conducted at the college level, and candidates must carry originals as per their claim category.

1,191 seats filled in ComedK first round of counselling in Karnataka
Bengaluru: As many as 1,191 engineering seats were filled through the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (ComedK) in the first round of counselling. According to officials, this is around 100 fewer than last year when 1,290 seats were filled in the first round. While 554 seats were allotted in the second round, 352 students have already opted for the accept and freeze decision, which means they will join the college. However, these numbers are yet to be updated as the last date is Aug 16. The cascading effect was felt on the Common Entrance Test counselling by Karnataka Examination Authority and also by the ComedK counselling," said an official. "There is no concern at all. In fact, we were surprised to see a good response for even core engineering seats this time, including civil and mechanical seats. CU's last six-sem batch bows out with a flourish
Kolkata: The final examination under Calcutta University's choice-based credit system (CBCS) saw a drastic increase in the pass percentage after the final results were published on Thursday. A total of 77.5% of students in BA Honours passed, compared to 52.6% last year. In BSc Honours, 80.9% of students passed, compared to 77.5% recorded last year. The sixth-semester exams for UG students ended on July 15. The university published the results within a month of the completion of the exams. In BA Honours, 23,948 students were enrolled, while 23,900 students appeared for the exams. In BSc Honours, 8,932 students were enrolled for the exams, while 8,895 students appeared for the exams. Interim VC Santa Datta De, said: "This year, both BA and BSc results improved compared to last year, even the results for general and major, too. Even examinees took their exams seriously, which was reflected in the results."
