Milan change format of Jashari offer with 35m guaranteed
Milan are preparing a new and improved offer to Club Brugge for Ardon Jashari, increasing the fixed fee to €35m and lowering the performance-related bonuses. La Gazzetta dello Sport point out this is still roughly the same overall figure for the investment, but the structure of it will change. It means that when CEO Giorgio Furlani told the Belgian directors that the final offer was going to be €32.5m plus bonuses, it was not entirely inaccurate. Milan closer to Jashari agreement BERGAMO, ITALY – FEBRUARY 18: Ardon Jashari of Club Brugge KV inspects the pitch prior to the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Knockout Play-off second leg match between Atalanta BC and Club Brugge KV at Gewiss Stadium on February 18, 2025 in Bergamo, Italy. (Photo by) It will therefore be shifted to €35m guaranteed, plus a smaller figure for the add-ons tied to performance of both the player and the team during his time at San Siro. By changing the structure of the offer, if not the total figure, it could wield a different result for Milan. Club Brugge had made it clear they were only prepared to let Jashari go if they received €35m upfront. With this shift, Milan are confident they can get the deal over the line and give Max Allegri his completely revamped midfield with Samuele Ricci, Jashari and Luka Modric.

Official – Aleksandar Stankovic Joins Club Brugge From Inter Milan
Young Serbian midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic has joined Club Brugge from Inter Milan. The Belgian club confirm the teenage midfielder's arrival on their homepage. He has arrived on a permanent deal, although Inter reportedly have a buyback option as part of the terms of the sale. Aleksandar Stankovic came through Inter Milan's youth academy. The Serb is the son of legnedary former Nerazzurri and Lazio midfielder Dejan Stankovic. In recent years, the young midfielder has emerged as one of the outstanding talents in Inter's youth teams. Therefore, last season the Serb joined Luzern on loan. This was his first opportunity in the senior game. And it proved to be a successful loan spell. Stankovic was even named as Luzern's player of the season for last campaign. (Photo by) Luzern had a purchase option as part of the loan deal for Stankovic. Therefore, it was little surprise that the Swiss club took advantage. However, Inter also had a buyback option. Therefore, they signed the 19-year-old right back. There were a few clubs to have shown an interest in Stankovic this summer. Among these were Stuttgart and Wolfsburg from the Bundesliga. However, it was Club Brugge who jumped to the head of the queue. And now, they have successfully agreed a deal with Inter for Stankovic. Brugge do not officially announce the transfer fee. However, reports widely indicate that it is in the region of €10 million. Meanwhile, it is also widely reported that Inter have insisted on a buyback option in the deal. This would be for in the region of €25 million, and is active for the next two summers.

Arsenal completes signing of Spain U21 defender Cristhian Mosquera
LONDON (AP) — Cristhian Mosquera became Arsenal's fifth signing of the off season on Thursday after completing a move from Valencia. The Spain Under 21 defender cost a reported 13 million pounds ($17.5 million) and signed a five-year deal with the option of a further 12 months. 'We identified Cristhian as one of the strongest young defenders in European football, and he is an important signing for our future,' Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta said. Arsenal, which has finished runner-up in the Premier League for the last three seasons, has been active in the market this summer. The move for Mosquera comes after deals for midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, forward Noni Madueke and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The London club is also widely expected to sign a striker, with Viktor Gyokeres a reported target. The 21-year-old Mosquera was born in Spain and is also eligible to play for Colombia. He won gold at the Paris Olympics with Spain last year. 'He is a young player with exciting talent and enormous potential, who will fit well into our squad as we continue to prepare for next season,' manager Mikel Arteta said. ___ AP soccer:
