Taking place from May 26th to the 28th, the Arab Media Summit 2025 will host over 6,000 delegates, from ministers to creators, to address public media, technology, and cross-sector collaboration.

Arab Media Summit 2025 will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 26th to the 28th, bringing together more than 6,000 regional and international delegates to discuss the evolving role of media in a rapidly shifting geopolitical and technological landscape.
Organised by the Dubai Press Club under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the summit will gather ministers, executives, journalists, and digital creators to explore new approaches to public communication, AI-driven media ecosystems, and youth engagement.
The agenda includes participation from high-level figures such as Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr. Ahmed El Tayeb, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al Shibani. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, will deliver a keynote speech on the intersection of culture, algorithms, and communication.
A key ministerial panel will bring together Arab Ministers of Information including Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi (Kuwait), Dr. Ramzan Al Noaimi (Bahrain), Paul Morcos (Lebanon), Ahmed Al-Muslimani (Egypt), and Abdullah Al Hamed (UAE) to discuss the future of state-funded media and public-private collaboration across the region.
Other highlights include a session with UAE Presidential Diplomatic Advisor Dr. Anwar Gargash on social media and governance, and an appearance by British broadcaster Piers Morgan. The summit will also feature a number of affiliated events such as the Arab Media Forum, the Arab Youth Media Forum, and awards ceremonies including Ibda'a and the Arab Social Media Influencers Award.

Their joint efforts have helped position Sharm El Sheikh as a model for sustainable tourism and development in the region. According to South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda, this development reflects Sharm El Sheikh's status as the first green touristic city in Egypt and the Middle East. The transformation is built on key pillars including renewable energy, sustainable transportation, water conservation, waste management, and biodiversity protection. As part of its urgent environmental measures, the city has already banned single-use plastic bags in 50 hotels, the governor confirmed. Egypt's Garment Exports Jump by 25 Percent in April
CAIRO – 1 June 2025: Egypt's ready-made garment exports rose sharply by 25 percent in April 2025, reaching $223 million, up from $179 million in April 2024, according to a statement released by the Garments Export Council. The Council reported that total exports for the sector between January and April 2025 amounted to $1.028 billion, marking a 22 percent increase compared to the same period last year. This growth underscores Egypt's strengthening position in the global textile market. The United States retained its status as the largest importer of Egyptian garments, with total imports reaching $384 million, reflecting an 11 percent rise from $345 million during the same period in 2024. European countries came in second, with exports increasing by 39 percent to $259 million, compared to $186 million a year earlier. Exports to Arab countries also posted a 6 percent gain, totaling $190 million, up from $180 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. One of the most notable trends was the 101 percent growth in exports to non-Arab African markets, signaling a significant expansion into new African destinations. At the same time, exports to other global markets climbed by 50 percent, reaching $190 million, compared to $127 million in the same period of 2024. Commenting on these figures, Fadel Marzouk, Chairman of the Ready-Made Garments Export Council, stated that the export performance reflects a positive trajectory and the gradual recovery of the sector. He attributed this progress to rising global demand, broader market outreach, and the Council's continuous efforts to improve the competitiveness of Egyptian garments on the international stage. Marzouk also emphasized that the Council is targeting an annual export growth rate of 30 to 35 percent, supported by training programs, expansion of the SME base, increased promotion in international markets, and continued work to remove obstacles facing exporters.
