The water is bright turquoise and scattered along the white sands are huge granite boulders.
While it's recognised as a top beach, Anse Source d'Argent still maintains a sense of calm and serenity.
One visitor called the beach an "epitome of island paradise" with another saying they've "never seen the sea so clear and sand so white".

To keep the beach in its current state, the Union Estate charges visitors 150 Rupees (£1.32) each to get access to the beach.
The Seychelles, particularly the Vallée de Mai on Praslin Island, is often referred to as a "Garden of Eden" due to its unique and pristine natural environment.
This area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is home to the Coco de Mer palm which is a tree you'll only find in the Seychelles.

The main city of Victoria in Mahé is where you can explore the Sir Selwyn Clarke Market which sells spices, fruit, art and souvenirs.
It also has the Cathedral of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception and La Domus - a historical building that was originally built as a residence for Swiss Catholic missionaries in the 1930s.
Praslin is the second largest island in the Seychelles and the most renowned attraction is the Vallée de Mai tropical forest where you'll find plenty of Coco de Mer palm trees.
There aren't any direct flights from the UK to the Seychelles - but most have one stop.
Emirates flies from London Stansted to Dubai before continuing onto Mahé Airport.
You can also fly with Kenya Airways, Aer Lingus, Ethiopian Air, Etihad, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines.
The cheapest return flights from the UK to Seychelles currently start from £508 with Ethiopian Airlines according to Skyscanner.
You can then get on a domestic flight to other islands, or go island hopping between the Inner Islands which are Mahe, Praslin, La Digue, Silhouette.
You can travel between these islands by ferry, catamaran, or domestic flights.

Beautiful Croatian hilltop village that was used as a dupe for city of Nottingham in the Robin Hood movie
ON the beautiful Istria peninsula is a tiny cobbled village that has doubled as the UK city of Nottingham. An hour away from the Croatian city of Pula is the pretty village of Završje, it sits on a hilltop, has winding streets and stone houses with terracotta rooftops. 5 Završje sits on a hilltop on the Istria peninsula Credit: Alamy 5 The village appeared in the 2018 adaptation of Robin Hood Credit: Alamy There are plenty of pretty hidden gems on the Istria peninsula, one of them being the Završje. The village is tiny, with the last population consensus in 2021 revealing that just 39 people lived there. More people might have seen it than first thought though, as in 2018 it appeared in a blockbuster movie. Završje stood in for 12th century Nottingham in the Robin Hood film starring Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx and Eve Hewson. The town's medieval look made it the ideal backdrop for the movie's scenes and were used for the end battle between Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham. Završje has its very own leaning tower - the church tower is 22 metres tall and leans about 40cm because of the unstable ground it was built on. Once you've had a walk around the tiny village, there's plenty more to do in Istria - the heart-shaped peninsula boasts incredible beaches, cities and historical sites. Its Ancient Roman buildings have led to many comparisons with Italy, and the city of Pula's Roman amphitheatre is the sixth largest in the world. It's also one of the best-preserved in the world with its outer walls and four side towers mostly intact. Tickets for entry to the Arena can be purchased at the main entrance - adults are €10 (£8.64) and students are €5 (£4.32). One of the top attractions is the Punta Kamenjak National Park where you can go swimming and snorkelling. Essential spots to see include the Old Town, Baredine Cave, Port of Rovinj and Church of St Euphemia. Istria is also home to Croatia's largest waterpark Aquapark Porec Aquacolors. It boasts several huge waterslides, including the Freefall, a 48-metre long drop and Turbolance which features a steep drop, reverses and a splash pool, all while taking "crazy photos" of riders. However, there are also calmer rides for youngsters including family rafting slides. The park has a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Award due to the number of positive ratings it has received. One visitor wrote: "Awesome place, so much fun and adrenaline. Would come again, definitely! Make sure you arrive early because there is so many slides you will want to try." It is worth exploring the main port too, which is located in the town of Vathi - a traditional fishing village with several churches. Not much has changed in the town over the past century, with many of the day-to-day activities revolving around the arrival and departure of the ferry. Advertisement Along the waterfront, visitors can explore a number of quaint tavernas and cafes as well, with many boasting traditional dishes and views of the harbour. From Vathi, you can also head along the coast to Spartochori - a picturesque village 50 metres above the sea level, with narrow winding alleys. Here, travellers can find three waterfront tavernas to enjoy a bite or drink whilst look out at the water. And after a short walk around the bay, you'll find a sandy beach with snack bars. Alternatively, for those exploring the coast of the island via boat, make sure to head to Papanikolis Cave. The cave is the second largest in Greece, nestled in one of Meganisi's white cliffs. For those who do want to explore the cave and surrounding water, they can hire a boat from Lakis Boats. There are a number of places to stay on the island, including Kavos House, a short distance from Spilia Port in the hills, with amazing views of Lefkada and the island of Scorpio. The islands are so close in proximity that hotel groups like Kivotos Hotels & Villas, often have incentives in the form of discounts and private transfers so you can save yourself cash and tick off two places in one hit, says The Sun Travel's Kara Godfrey. The sunsets are just as gorgeous on the neighbouring island of Santorini, where I was heading next.
