Harry Kane has sent a final message of encouragement to Tottenham fans ahead of his former side's Europa League final clash with Manchester United.
The two Premier League struggles will face off on Thursday night in Bilbao for a chance to win the Europa League and qualify for next term's Champions League despite their domestic woes.
Ahead of the game neither side has had much joy in the Premier League, with Spurs incredibly in 17th and United only a point ahead in 16th.
However the two have made it through the competition to set up an all-English date in the Basque city, with the winner set to end the term on a positive, and the misery to only compound for the loser.
Though he left the north London outfit back in 2023, Tottenham's all-time top scorer Kane has confirmed though that he will be cheering on his former side in their biggest game in years.
Asked by a fan whether he was planning on watching the big fixture, Kane sent a voicenote in response, confirming he would indeed be tuning in with the rest of the Spurs fanbase.
'Hi Roe, yeah for sure I'll be watching it,' he said, responding to the fan.
'Looking forward to the game. I'm really hoping it's gonna be a good one so I'll be here watching it and hoping the boys can get it done.'
Kane was talking to the fan, Roe, on the Cleats Club app, which allows fans to talk to athletes, with the England captain the inaugural star on the platform.
Tottenham haven't won a trophy since 2008, and will be hoping to break that duck on Thursday night, just a few weeks after Kane ended his own silverware hoodoo.
The England captain won the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich this season to lift the first trophy of a remarkable career, with his old club hoping that proves a positive omen for them.
Fans of both clubs have already come under fire in Bilbao for their antics after descending en masse on the Basque city.
Spanish media has hit out at Manchester United and Tottenham fans for being 'difficult to control' ahead of the Europa League final, amid reports of clashes between supporters in Bilbao.
Around 80,000 supporters have reportedly flown out to Spain for the game, despite the San Mames having a capacity of 52,114.
Both sets of clubs were allocated 15,000 tickets for the final, with thousands of ticketless fans still opting to descend on the city.
Spanish news agency EFE reported on Tuesday that 'some fans are already losing control' in the streets in the centre of Bilbao.
The fans were claimed to have become 'difficult to control', despite the deployment of 2,000 police officers on the eve of the match.
Supporters were claimed to have 'taken over urban furniture' in the city, having been pictured climbing on to traffic lights.
The Bilbao-based newspaper El Correo reported that Tottenham fans had 'destroyed two traffic lights' and had 'raised them like a trophy'.
Tottenham supporters had congregated in Pozas, located close to the stadium, while Man United fans were based in Plaza Nueva.
Several Manchester United fans were reported to have punched another supporter in Plaza Nueva, leading to eight police officers being required to intervene.
Tottenham supporters were claimed to have showered rivals with beer in another incident, while one fan was pictured vomiting in the street.
