LOOK: Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith makes cover of 'College Football 26'
The wait is over.
The cover of the new College Football '26 video game by EA Sports is out, and you are going to love one of the players on the cover. Of course, you can probably guess which player would don the cover if an Ohio State player was given that chance, and it is predictably, star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
He's not alone on the cover though, he is joined by another superstar sophomore receiver, Alabama's Ryan Williams. Last year, the two were arguably the best two freshman playmakers on offense in the country, and now they are joined forever on the cover of the wildly popular video game franchise.
For Smith, it's yet more notoriety after taking the college football world by storm last season. Somehow, he didn't win the Biletnikoff Award that goes to the best receiver in the game (c'mon voters), but he put up incredible numbers, especially for a freshman. All told, Smith hauled in 76 catches for 1,315 yards (17.3 ypc) and 15 touchdowns to go along with countless jaw-dropping moments. All the talented youngster did was obliterate the freshman receiving records at Ohio State, a place where receivers grow on Buckeye trees.
The release date for College Football 26 is set for July 10, and we know you'll be chomping at the bit to try and win back-to-back College Football Playoff national championships virtually as soon as you can.

Quarterback-watch is the No. 1 item on the menu this summer for the Seattle Seahawks. Not only are the Seahawks going with a new starter in Sam Darnold, they also added an intriguing new rookie into the mix with Alabama's Jalen Milroe. The consensus on Milroe is he is more of a project than a prospect. As in, this is going to be a long-term development investment in the former Crimson Tide standout. Milroe has all the physical tools a team would want, but he is going to take time to develop to being an NFL-caliber signal caller. Yet it is important to remember how dynamic of an athlete he is. Media access at Seahawks OTA has been limited this summer, but on Wednesday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic caught a quick video of Milroe unleashing a deep ball. It's a tantalizing look at what Milroe can bring to the table. Yes, OTA's are a highly controlled environment and it's just one throw. Still, it's June and we're all football-starved, so seeing the potential future quarterback of the Seahawks showing off some arm strength is more than enough to get the 12th Man a little excited. George Clooney-Produced Ohio State Abuse Doc Gets Date, Trailer From HBO
HBO's documentary about a sexual abuse scandal in the Ohio State University athletic department has a premiere date. The premium outlet will debut Surviving Ohio State, which counts George Clooney among its producers, on June 17 (it will also stream on Max). The film features several survivors of abuse at the hands of Dr. Richard Strauss, an Ohio State athletics doctor from 1978-98, telling the stories of what happened to them and how they have tried to hold the university accountable for Strauss' actions. Emmy and Oscar winner Eva Orner (Taxi to the Dark Side, Out of Iraq) directed the documentary and produces with Clooney, his Smokehouse Pictures partner Grant Heslov and David C. Glasser of 101 Studios. The film is based on a 2020 Sports Illustrated story by Jon Wertheim that detailed the allegations against Strauss, including those by former All-American wrestler and UFC champion Mark Coleman, who is also featured in the documentary. Other Ohio State athletes interviewed in the film include Adam DiSabato, Michael DiSabato, Will Knight, Al Novakowski, Rockey Ratliff, Dan Ritchie and Mike Schyck. Wertheim is an executive producer of Surviving Ohio State along with David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Ron Burkle, Corey Salter, Colin Smeeton, Marc Rosen and HBO's Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller and Bentley Weiner. Smokehouse Pictures and 101/Sports Illustrated Studios produce. Surviving Ohio State has been several years in the making. Clooney and Heslov announced the project (then conceived as a docuseries) in 2021. HBO and director Orner signed on in June 2022. ESPN releases bowl schedule for 33 games at the end of the 2025 college football season
The 2025 college football bowl season begins on December 13. ESPN released its schedule for the postseason on Thursday as the network will televise 33 bowl games outside of the 12-team College Football Playoff. The only non-playoff bowl games the network doesn't have the rights to are the Holiday Bowl, Sun Bowl and the Arizona Bowl. Advertisement Bowl season will unofficially begin with the Celebration Bowl on Dec. 13, and the first FBS bowl game of the season kicks off at 9 p.m. ET that night with the LA Bowl. The biggest day of bowl season is on Dec. 27. Seven games will be featured on that Saturday along with multiple Week 17 NFL games. There is a game missing from this year's bowl slate, however. ESPN announced that the Bahamas Bowl would not take place at the end of the season and that 'league commitments will fulfilled through other ESPN owned-and-operated games.' The network owns 17 bowl games and the Bahamas Bowl has annually featured teams from Conference USA and the MAC. The entire ESPN FBS bowl schedule is listed below and all times are Eastern. The dates for the College Football Playoff were previously announced in April.
