Now, Shalini Passi has mourned the sudden demise of her close friend Sunjay Kapur, recalling that she would often meet up with Sunjay and his wife Priya Sachdev whenever they were in Delhi.
While speaking with Hindustan Times, Shalini said, 'The news of Sunjay's death is sad and shocking. It makes us realise the frivolity of our life and everything that we take so seriously… In a moment everything is gone."
Shalini mentioned that Sunjay's family and hers are close friends, and she has known them since her marriage. She described Sunjay as a person full of life and enthusiasm, whether it was in his business or playing polo. 'He was somebody a lot of people looked up to as a role model," she explained.
She also mentioned frequently meeting Sunjay and his family in Delhi, noting that he was always with his wife, Priya, whenever they met. 'My heartfelt condolences to them," she said.

Reflecting on her last conversation with the couple, Shalini shared that Sunjay and Priya had congratulated her on the success of Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. They were pleased to see her representing Delhi in the series and had expressed their happiness for her.
'Sunjay and Priya congratulated me on the success of Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. They were happy to see me holding up for Delhi in the series. Both of them were delighted by it and were happy for me. And that's what they had expressed to me," she said.

Sunjay and Karisma tied the knot in 2003 and have two children, Samaira and Kiaan. The couple separated in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2016. He later married model Priya Sachdev in 2017, with whom he had a son, Azarias. He also co-parented Priya's daughter from a previous marriage.
