"Marriage ah? lol... Chill out guys. Please stop spreading rumours," Anirudh posted, ending the frenzy of speculation that had dominated online chatter. While the composer's post rubbished the marriage talk, he chose not to address rumours about dating Kavya, which intensified after alleged sightings of the two at a dinner outing.
The origin of the rumours can be traced back to a Reddit thread that claimed the two had been in a relationship for over a year and that superstar
Rajinikanth
had spoken to Kavya's father, media baron
Kalanithi Maran
, about a possible alliance.
The speculative story quickly gained traction and led to multiple media reports suggesting a wedding announcement was imminent.
Who is Anirudh Ravichander?
Anirudh comes from a distinguished artistic family. He is the son of actor Ravi Raghavendra, nephew of Latha Rajinikanth, and has scored music for top stars across Indian cinema — from Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan to Shah Rukh Khan.
Kavya Maran, on the other hand, is the daughter of Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and is a prominent face during
IPL
seasons.

Soundarya Sharma Reacts To Objectification Claims In Housefull 5: ‘I Don't See Any Of It'
Last Updated: Housefull 5 actress Soundarya Sharma responds to criticism about female objectification in the film, saying she doesn't see it and was surprised by the backlash. Actor Soundarya Sharma, who appeared in Housefull 5, has finally responded to criticism surrounding the portrayal of female characters in the recently released film. In a conversation with DNA India, the Bigg Boss 16 alum seemed caught off guard when asked about the objectification of women and the focus on looks over substance in the slapstick comedy. 'I don't see that, I don't see any of it," she replied, visibly surprised. 'Pata nahi, aap bol rahe ho toh… Honestly, I haven't gotten time to sit and read all of these because I've been busy counting numbers and celebrating. I think the makers would be the right people to answer this, because an actor is just part of someone else's vision. It's made in a very light way and with heart. I don't know kaun hai yeh log jo iss tarah baat kar rahe hai," she added, deflecting the criticism. Touching upon the criticism of the outfits worn by female actors in the film, Soundarya reasoned, 'I feel it's not the first time someone has worn something like that. It's also a reflection of society, not that they've forced anything. Actors have worn everything from bikinis to sarees before. Aisa kuch samajh mein mere ko nahi aa raha hai." Despite her defense, the internet didn't hold back. A clip of the interview surfaced on Reddit, with users debating whether she was downplaying the issue or simply toeing the industry line. One comment read, 'Poor girl's entire existence in the film was reduced to just being there for the male gaze and she thinks there wasn't any objectification?" Another added, 'This is her relaunch movie and she's happy to be a part of it, what else do people want her to say?" A more sympathetic user pointed out, 'She's not a nepo kid. It's a big deal for her to be in a star-studded movie. Speaking against the film could mean losing future opportunities." Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 marks the fifth chapter in the blockbuster franchise that began in 2010. The film boasts a massive ensemble including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, and veterans like Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Johny Lever, and Sanjay Dutt. It hit theatres on June 6 under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner. Outside of Housefull 5, Soundarya Sharma has appeared in films like Ranchi Diaries and web series such as Raktanchal 2, Country Mafia, and Karm Yuddh. Whether or not Housefull 5 elevates her to the next level remains to be seen—but for now, she's standing by the film that relaunched her in the Bollywood mainstream. Ballerina and Materialists box office collection Day 2: Ana de Armas and Dakota Johnson starrers sees good growth on Saturday
Hollywood's big weekend at the Indian box office saw a promising upswing in collections as Ana de Armas-led Ballerina and Dakota Johnson 's Materialists battled for audience attention alongside the family-friendly How to Train Your Dragon, which continues to dominate. Spinning out from the John Wick universe, Ballerina (also available in 4DX) made a confident leap at the Indian box office. After an opening day collection of Rs 1.6 crore on Friday, the action-thriller saw a significant jump of 68% on Saturday, earning an estimated Rs 2.7 crore. This brings its two-day domestic total to Rs 4.3 crore, according to data from Sacnilk. A large chunk of the revenue came from English-language shows, which contributed approximately Rs 3.38 crore of the total. The dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu collectively added the remaining Rs 92 lakh, indicating the franchise's continued appeal among urban, English-speaking audiences. Ballerina, headlined by Ana de Armas , is set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 and Chapter 4, and has benefited from brand recognition and a visually immersive 4DX release. It has managed to secure the second-highest box office opening for a Hollywood film this weekend, trailing only behind How to Train Your Dragon, which is on track to cross the Rs 10 crore mark. Meanwhile, Materialists—a romantic comedy starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans , and Pedro Pascal , and directed by Celine Song—had a softer start, opening with Rs 60 lakh on Friday. However, the film doubled its collections on Saturday, earning Rs 1.31 crore and bringing its two-day total to Rs 1.91 crore. Though behind Ballerina in the domestic market, Materialist is making headlines globally. The film debuted with an impressive $12 million in North America, marking the third-highest opening ever for A24, behind only Civil War ($25.5 million) and Hereditary ($13.5 million). This performance continues the recent momentum for rom-coms at the box office, following the success of Ticket to Paradise ($16.5 million) and Anyone But You ($6 million). With Father's Day on Sunday and positive word of mouth, all three films are expected to benefit from weekend footfall. Ballerina may cross Rs 6 crore by the end of the weekend, while Materialist could reach Rs 3 crore, depending on Sunday's momentum. How to Train Your Dragon, buoyed by family audiences and critical praise, is leading the pack and poised to be the weekend's breakout winner.
