Collector urges women to utilise training in tailoring
Interacting with women undergoing basic tailoring training, the Collector encouraged all participants to take full advantage of the opportunity to achieve sustainable livelihoods. She stated that, under the Women Empowerment initiative, basic tailoring training is being provided to women belonging to the BC, EBC, Kamma, Reddy, Arya Vysya, Brahmin, Kshatriya, and Kapu (Balija) communities.
The Collector further announced that, upon completion of the training, each of the 500 beneficiaries per Assembly constituency would receive a tailor-model sewing machine. The state government has set a target to train 3,441 women in the district.
Providing statistics, the Collector noted that applications have been received from 11,105 BC women, 96 from the Kamma community, 691 Reddy, 871 Kapu (Balija), 344 EBC, 308 Arya Vysya, 34 Brahmin, and 1 Kshatriya applicant seeking to participate in the program. So far, 25 tailoring training centers have been established across the district, with a total of 2,827 women attending classes.
These include 2,381 BC women, 5 Kamma, 104 Reddy, 150 Kapu (Balija), 122 EBC, 58 Arya Vysya, 6 Brahmin, and 1 Kshatriya participant.
The Collector advised all trainees to strive for self-reliance and improve their standard of living through self-employment after successfully completing the training.

He noted that global giants such as Lilly, Amgen, MSD, Zoetis, Evernorth, and Olympus have chosen Hyderabad as their preferred hub. Telangana will soon unveil its Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy, which he described as 'a cutting-edge policy framework designed to attract large-scale investments.' The state has set an ambitious target to scale its Life Sciences economy to USD 250 billion by 2030, aiming to make Telangana the Life Sciences Capital of Asia. The Minister further proposed preparing a feasibility report for establishing the Telangana School of Life Sciences.

Over 2 lakh Indiramma houses under construction across Telangana: Minister Ponguleti
The State government's commitment to providing affordable housing to the poor is evident in the Indiramma housing scheme, with over 2 lakh houses currently under construction across the State, said Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed conference hall and modernised office chambers at Telangana Housing Corporation Limited (TGHCL) headquarters here on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy stressed the government's efforts to revamp the corporation. 'The government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is committed to providing houses to the poor, and we are showing it through our actions, not just words,' he said. The Minister urged government employees to work together to make the Indiramma housing scheme a success. He also assured that the government would provide good facilities to the staff working in the Housing Corporation and strengthen their capabilities. Mr. Reddy stated that despite adverse economic conditions, the government is committed to making payments to beneficiaries every Monday and would continue this system in the future. TGHCL Managing Director V.P. Gautam highlighted the corporation's efforts to revamp its operations, including the appointment of Assistant Engineers in districts and utilising the services of officers from other departments as required. MLA Vemula Veeresham and Housing Corporation staff were present.

Telangana CM lays foundation stone for integrated registration offices; 63% revenue generated from 39 SROs in GHMC
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has said that Telangana government has initiated steps to revamp and give facelift to [land and other documents] registration offices which are among the major contributors to the State's exchequer. Development of the Hyderabad as well as its expansion are crucial to giving fillip to jobs and employment opportunities and the government has therefore decided to construct registration offices with all facilities. Integrated sub registrar offices are part of the efforts to mitigate problems of the people approaching them for registration of their lands and other documents on a permanent basis. 'The new registration offices will have facilities on par with five star hotels and international airports,' he said. The Chief Minister was speaking after laying foundation stone for integrated registration offices at Gachibowli, in Hyderabad on Wednesday (August 20, 2025). He asserted that steps had been taken to see that there would not be any burden on the government by the construction of these integrated offices and directed the Revenue department to complete construction of 11 integrated offices before the next State formation day. Mr. Reddy said that plans were afoot to develop Hyderabad as an international city by 2034 and those obstructing these works would be construed as 'enemies' of the State. 'It is the responsibility of the people to teach a fitting lesson to these vested interests,' he said. He said that a section of people were opposed to rejuvenation of Musi river and construction of Bharat Future City. This was not new as the same opposition was witnessed when the construction of the Hi-Tec city was underway. The development of the city was being planned in such a manner that it would compete with Tokyo and New York not just confining to completing with cities like Bengaluru and Chennai. Glory of Hyderabad's 'Original City' to be restored 'The State government is preparing a comprehensive plan for all-round and inclusive development of Telangana by 2047,' he said. The Chief Minister described the Old City as 'Original City' and said the old glory of the original city would be restored by rejuvenation of Musi river. Accordingly, it was planned to divert Godavari water to Musi river so that there was water in the river 365 days. Coupled with this was the Musi riverfront development plan that improves employment opportunities to the residents. The government had decided to construct Rajiv Swagruha houses for the middle class families. He recalled the contributions of the Congress Chief Ministers for the development of the IT infrastructure in the city and said the foundation stone for IT development was laid during the Congress governments in the erstwhile State drawing inspiration from former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi who ushered in IT revolution in the country. 63% of registration revenue from 39 sub registrar offices in GHMC Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy outlined the department's plans to develop integrated registration offices across the State in a phased manner. There were 39 sub registrar offices (SRO) in the GHMC limits within the outer ring road which accounted for 63% of the revenue generated from registration. Steps had been initiated to ensure that all these SROs were shifted to 11 integrated registration offices. The Congress government scrapped the lopsided Dharani portal brought in by the previous regime and put in place Bhu Bharati after studying the best practices in 18 States. The meetings conducted by the Revenue department as part of efforts to streamline its functioning attracted 8.6 lakh applications. Of these, the government had already resolved over two lakh grievances and another four lakh issues relating to sada bainamas (plain paper transactions) were pending in view of the court litigations. The State High Court had lifted the stay on regularisation of sada bainamas on Tuesday. The government had accordingly decided to resolve the pending applications at the earliest. Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the government was committed to work for the welfare of the people and was accordingly striving to deliver better services at the citizens doorsteps with the aid of advanced technology.
