First on Fox: New study reveals 'pro-Palestinian' groups promote violence and anti-Americanism
The "pro-Palestinian" movement, which has gained traction on college campuses since October 7th, has become an "anti-American and anti-police movement with sharply radicalizing rhetoric that advocates terrorism and sedition on U.S. soil," Investigative Researcher Ryan Mauro revealed in the new study released today and shared first with Fox News Digital.
The study analyzed thousands of social media posts from 496 of the most active "pro-Palestinian" groups and activists. The term maintains quotation marks throughout the study because that is how the groups identify, but Capital Research Center does not "concede that such extremist groups are genuinely pursuing an agenda that would benefit innocent Palestinians." Many of the groups in question are connected to charities or nonprofits and receive federal funding.
The analysis found the "pro-Palestinian" movement has become a "permanent presence" that will "not fade when issues surrounding Israelis and Palestinians lose prominence" but evolve and expend to exploit other popular social issues – all while "inserting anti-Americanism, hatred of Israel, anti-Semitism, anti-Westernism, and anti-police bigotry into those causes' narrative."

Capital Research Center compared posts on X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Telegram in the 15-month periods before and after October 7, 2023, using 14 common keywords or phrases that express hatred of the United States, the U.S. government and U.S. law enforcement. Keywords include: American imperialism, Belly of the beast, Globalize the intifada, Pigs, Defund the police, AmeriKKKa and So-Called United States. Those keywords chosen delineated the delegitimization of U.S. domestic and foreign policy, denial of the United States' right to exist and domestic unrest.

"What we found was that after October 7th, there was a 3,000% increase in calls to violence, and the target of that violence in most cases is the United States and police. We found a 186% increase in the amount of anti-American rhetoric and hatred from these groups. Based on the data, I think it's clear that we can conclude safely that this isn't just a pro-Palestinian or anti-Israel movement, this is truly an anti-American and anti-police movement if you look at the organizations and the nonprofits that the movement consists of," Mauro told Fox News Digital in an interview ahead of the study's release.
In addition to the drastic increase in anti-American, anti-police and violent rhetoric, the study found a connection between anti-Israel tropes and anti-American themes.
"One of the most important things to understand is that they don't hate the United States because of Israel, they hate Israel because they hate the United States," Mauro said.
The study found that "pro-Palestinian" groups delegitimize Israel's right to exist as much as they villainize the United States' sovereignty. Both Israel and the United States are deemed imperialist "settler-colonial" states by the activist groups on social media.
"The movement's groups and activists frequently state that, just as Israel should be destroyed and replaced by Palestine, the United States and its 'colonial borders' should be abolished and replaced by Turtle Island, a mythical land that some Native American traditions claim once encompassed North and Central America," the study found.
Capital Research Center also found "pro-Palestinian" groups equate U.S. law enforcement to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), referring to them collectively as "occupation forces." Mauro argues this is dangerous because "almost all of these groups and activists support violent attacks on the Israeli military."
"The increase in violent rhetoric that we're seeing is a new threat environment that Americans have to contend with. Do you want your future to look like what the Israelis have to face, where you have very frequent small attacks, maybe not on 9/ 11, but very frequent terrorist attacks, acts of violence, harassment, vandalism going on so much that it just becomes commonplace in your way of life? Is that really what we want? Because if we don't do something about this, that's what we're looking at," Mauro warned.
As anti-American and anti-police rhetoric has permeated college campuses, the study found "pro-Palestinian" groups often receive taxpayer funding.
"Of these so-called 'pro-Palestinian' groups that we found were actually anti-American in their rhetoric, about 30 of them were chapters on college campuses. Sometimes they're connected to nonprofit organizations, and sometimes they actually get money from the budgets of the universities, and the universities often receive taxpayer money."
"What that means is that taxpayer money can go to the schools, and then the schools use their taxpayer-funded budgets to give money out to individual groups, which include these pro-terrorism and anti-American groups, so your taxpayer money is funding a lot of the chaos that you're seeing on college campuses," Mauro added.
Among the 78 groups and 30 activists analyzed for "malicious speech in their posts," the study found that 35 were college chapters of national organizations, two of the groups operate as a "social welfare" nonprofit, 15 groups have "unknown legal status," and 26 operate as "charities."
The study advises that any charities or nonprofits linked to "pro-Palestinian" groups who support violent or anti-American, anti-police rhetoric are "at risk of adverse legal consequences, including loss of tax-exempt status."
"Yes, it's good to deport radicals. Yes, it's good to prosecute people that illegally support terrorism. But we have the equivalent of the atom bomb to dismantle this movement, and those are the IRS regulations that they are violating. If we want to cut off the fundraising stream to these guys, all we have to do is educate the people at the Treasury Department, the IRS about how to do it and which groups to go after. And very quickly, this threat could recede if we do the right things," Mauro said.
The study concludes that the "pro-Palestinian" movement would be more accurately described as "anti-American or anti-Western and, increasingly, anti-police and pro-violence." GM's quarterly results illustrate the folly of tariffs
General Motors, a cornerstone of American industry, is suffering the consequences of President Trump's unconstitutional 25 percent tariffs on imported vehicles and auto parts. In the second quarter of 2025, GM suffered a $1.1 billion tariff blow to its operating income, slashing the company's profit margin from a healthy 9 percent to just 6.1 percent. Net income plunged by 36.1 percent from the prior quarter and by a staggering 40.7 percent compared to a year ago. Although the estimated tariff impact for the full year of $4 billion to $5 billion is less than 3 percent of GM's overall revenue, that cost represents more than half of the typical annual income for the company over the past decade. The consequences extend far beyond GM's balance sheet. Tariffs, paid by importers to the federal government, are partly absorbed by companies and partly passed to consumers. We've especially seen this in import-sensitive sectors including furnishings, appliances, clothes and toys. Men's shirts and sweaters, for instance, rose 4.9 percent in June alone. When businesses 'eat' the cost, as GM tried to do last quarter, the fallout is no less severe. Diminished earnings mean less capital for investment in better technology or expanded operations, slowing broader economic growth, fewer resources for pay raises or new jobs — hardly the boon for workers that tariff advocates promise. The data confirms this. Nationwide, 14,000 manufacturing jobs disappeared in the past two months, erasing all gains in 2025. In June, real average weekly earnings dropped by 0.4 percent, an annualized loss of nearly 5 percent. Shareholders are also feeling the pinch. Stock valuations track a company's expected future earnings. Since 2012, GM's stock price increased by more than 200 percent. GM's price-to-earnings ratio today stands at 6.83, almost identical to 2012 levels. Stock prices increased alongside earnings. A sustained $5 billion annual hit, wiping out over half of GM's annual net income, could erase more than $20 billion in market capitalization if valuations adjust. With tariffs eroding profits, is it any wonder that GM's stock has slid 8 percent since its post-2024 election peak and now languishes 13 percent off its 2021 highs? This affects millions of middle-class Americans and retirees with pensions and savings invested. More broadly, lower dividends and diminished returns discourage investment, starving companies of the capital needed to expand. The result: slower growth, fewer jobs and weaker wage gains. GM, to its credit, is fighting to offset 30 percent of this burden by boosting U.S. production, cutting costs and increasing domestic content to comply with the USMCA trade agreement's labyrinthine rules. Yet even if successful, the net impact of $2.8 billion to $3.5 billion will devour a significant slice of GM's already thin margins. Profit margins at GM — as in most other sectors — are far less than conventional wisdom. GM's net profit margin over the past decade has averaged less than 5 percent. In other words, a $30,000 vehicle yields less than $1,500 in profit. GM's plans to shift some production to U.S. plants and rework supply chains is a testament to private enterprise's resilience. But make no mistake: These shifts sacrifice efficiency for compliance. Restructuring operations in a free market in pursuit of efficiency yields more profit, consumer benefit and economic growth. Doing so under duress to escape arbitrary tariffs may result in survival, but without these benefits. Resources that could have fueled innovation or lowered prices are now squandered on navigating artificial trade barriers. As an important sidenote, roughly half the tariff's cost stems from GM's South Korean operations, a stark reminder of the folly of taxing trade with allies. Rather than strengthening ties with democratic partners through bold free-trade agreements, these tariffs risk pushing nations like South Korea toward China, America's chief adversary. Far from economic strategy, it is geopolitical shortsightedness. Politicians sometimes prefer tariffs to other forms of taxation because they are less visible than taxes on income or sales. This makes it easier to dodge accountability by blaming 'greedy' corporations. For this reason, Trump called Jeff Bezos to deter Amazon from listing tariff costs on purchases. The White House press secretary labeled this a 'hostile and political act by Amazon.' Regardless, protectionism is not cost-free. Sustained tariffs will raise prices, shrink profits, erode real wages and slow economic growth. GM's quarterly results are a warning.

So what is behind these absurd charges? Three catalysts: One, the new anguished elitist Democratic Party alienated the middle classes through its Jacobin agenda and therefore lost the Congress, the presidency and the Supreme Court, and now has no federal political power. Two, the Democratic Party is polling at record lows and yet remains hellbent on alienating the traditional sources of its power — minorities, youth and Independents. Three, Democrats cannot find any issues that the people support, nor any leaders to convince the people to embrace them. So it is no surprise that the panicked Democrats bark at the shadows — given that they know their revolutionary, neo-socialist agenda is destroying them. Pence: ‘I fully support' Trump's deployment of National Guard to DC
Former Vice President Pence said on Sunday he 'fully' supports President Trump's approach to combating crime in Washington, D.C., through his recent crackdown on the nation's capital. 'I welcome his decision to deploy the National Guard and essentially federalize the D.C. Police Department. I know that it's all now working in a very cooperative way,' Pence said in an interview on CNN's 'State of the Union.' 'I think it's important what the president is doing. I fully support it. And I think the American people welcome the president taking decisive action to ensure the streets of our nation's capital are safe and also continues to provide resources across the country to make all of our cities and towns and communities safe,' Pence added. The National Guard started ramping up its presence in Washington on Thursday, deploying troops to the National Mall and Metro stations after the president announced the move earlier in the week in what he portrayed as a crackdown on crime in the nation's capital. The White House said more than 1,600 personnel were involved in operations across the city on Wednesday, making 45 arrests, mostly targeting immigrants who lacked permanent legal status. While the Guard had a relatively small footprint in the city earlier this week, by Thursday, all of the roughly 800 Army and Air National Guard troops Trump ordered to the streets had mobilized for duty, the Pentagon confirmed. On Saturday, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R) announced the deployment of 200 National Guard troops to Washington, just hours after West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey (R) announced between 300 and 400 National Guard troops would be traveling to the nation's capital.
