EXCLUSIVE Heartwarming moment man who was left unable to speak because of stroke suddenly talks after reuniting with wife

Daily Mail7 hours ago

A woman has shared the heartwarming moment that her dad spoke for the first time in nine months after he reunited with his wife.
Sara Adame, 30, from Charleston, South Carolina, explained during an exclusive chat with the Daily Mail that a debilitating stroke left her father, Juan, unable to communicate in 2020.
It occurred right after his wife, Sherrie, who struggled with addiction, was sent to prison, and the tragic medical emergency left him completely withdrawn and out of it.
'He didn't speak anymore. He didn't really recognize anybody and he definitely couldn't talk to us or tell us who we were or who he was,' Sara explained. 'He was very nonverbal.'
For nine months, Juan seemed as though he was in a constant mental fog, and his family believed they may never see the man they once knew again.
But all of that changed when he laid eyes on Sherrie after she was released from prison.
Footage of their emotional reunion showed Juan laying in bed at a rehab center looking uncommunicative.
But suddenly, his face lit up as Sherrie entered the room. He opened his mouth wide with excitement before he said the words, 'Oh my God.'
He then pulled Sherrie in for a warm embrace, hugging her tightly and kissing her.
The moment was extremely 'overwhelming' for his family, who were convinced they would never hear him speak again.
'It was very overwhelming when he became not only alert upon seeing her, but verbal as well,' recalled Sara.
'He picked right back up where he left off in love with her. It shocked us all to our core because we didn't know he was still capable of these emotions. Love really does prevail.'
While chatting with the Daily Mail, Sara explained that her parents met when Sherrie worked at a 7-Eleven and Juan 'would come in and get his morning coffee before work.'
They got married in 2003, during a stunning ceremony in Puerto Rico 'surrounded by family.'
Unfortunately, Sara said Sherrie ultimately 'couldn't battle her demons any longer' and 'fell into temptation and relapsed' soon after the video was filmed.
She ultimately passed away in 2021, and Juan died a one year after her.
But Sara still holds on to her parents' emotional reunion as proof that true love does exist.
'I just hope that everybody can understand that love conquers all, if you have somebody love them right now,' she urged.
'I feel like everybody's out here searching for the next best thing, but in sickness and in health and poor and rich in free or shackled, love will be the only thing you remember in the end.
'So love right now. Be present and intentional. There are so many distractions in this world.
'It's important to be there for who is sick as they were there for you. There are so silent battles in the mind even if unspoken that applied to my mom and to my dad in different ways. Just be kind.'
Sara shared the clip to TikTok last month, where it went viral, gaining more than 4.8 million views.
'Watch the moment my mom comes home from prison. My dad had a stroke while she was away and had become emotionally/verbally unavailable until she moment,' she wrote in a text overlay.
Thousands were moved by their story and rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts.
'The way he lit up when he saw her. It's all we should ever wish for is to be loved like that,' one user wrote.
'If that don't prove Love heals all!' another added.
'The look in his eyes is what pure, true love truly is. This is so beautiful I am not okay right now,' someone else penned.

Fans divided as Tom Sandoval tries to rebrand himself as a musician on America's Got Talent with some leaving scathing remarks

Fans tuning into NBC's America's Got Talent were quite stunned to see reality TV villain Tom Sandoval auditioning as a musician. The 42-year-old Vanderpump Rules star mentioned that he was once referred to by The New York Times as ' the most hated man in America, ' after his cheating scandal. While he has continued to appear on reality shows like The Masked Singer and most recently The Traitors, now he's trying to rebrand as a musician. He appeared on Tuesday's episode of AGT with his band dubbed The Most Extras, which he is hoping to turn into the 'ultimate cover band.' He took to the stage to perform the 1985 A-ha classic Take On Me, and while the crowd was clearly apprehensive at first, his stage presence seemed to win them over. Sandoval even managed to win the judges over, as he was voted on to the next round, a decision that was clearly quite divisive on social media While he has continued to appear on reality shows like The Masked Singer and most recently The Traitors , now he's trying to rebrand as a musician. Before he took the stage, a staffer approached judge Simon Cowell, asking if he knew who Tom Sandoval was, and he said he did, since his former boss Lisa Vanderpump is his 'old friend.' Sandoval said in confession, 'A couple years ago, I made some really bad choices and was involved in a very bad cheating scandal. And I let down a lot of people. It pretty much destroyed my life. It's absurd how much coverage and how big it became.' 'Ever since then, it's like everything that I do is completely criticized. I feel a lot of pressure. I just hope the audience and the judges see who I am as a musician, versus just somebody on a reality show,' Sandoval said. He got tepid applause in his opening segment, adding he was in a 'very very dark place,' but his band was, 'the only thing that kept me going.' When asked if music is what he wanted to do from now on, Sandoval said, 'Yes. I would love nothing more for us to tour the world, like just be the ultimate cover band, party band,' as he said his girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson and his old friend Tom Schwartz were in the audience to support him. Before the performance, judge Howie Mandel explained to fellow judge Sofia Vergara that he's so hated because, 'he slept with his girlfriend's best friend.' While the performance didn't seem to impress the crowd or the judges much at first, he ultimately brought the crowd to its feet after hitting a surprisingly high note. The judges were impressed, though Simon Cowell admitted, 'the vocals weren't great,' as the crowd started to boo, as Simon added, 'Not everyone comes on this show to get a record deal. Sometimes it's about being true to who you are.' He got tepid applause in his opening segment, adding he was in a 'very very dark place,' but his band was, 'the only thing that kept me going' Mel B and Sofia Vergara both gave the band yesses, and Simon Cowell did as well, albeit reluctantly, putting Sandoval and his band through to the next round, a decision that was praised by some fans and blasted by others. One X user dubbed @AGTCommenter said, 'This is an odd prop-up job by the show. What are they gaining from trying to rehab Tom Sandoval's image for him? Sounds like he is kind of a top notch scumbag. I'm not a pearl clutcher but this seems like an unnecessary hill for the show to be on right now.' Jordan @JordanLR7 added, '#AGT Already said what I had to say about Tom Sandoval a few days ago but this needs to be added. He's a cheater. That is an awful sob story to go with for this show. Turning your bad decisions into a sob story is head scratching. And apparently he's a MILLIONAIRE. Why is he here.' Others were impressed with Sandoval's musical stylings, such as @Samfree92, who said, 'Tom Sandoval was great on America got talent.' Another fan - @PaulBacon30 - added, 'Tom Sandoval & The Next Extras SHOULD have got the #GoldenBuzzer because it was the best act in Week 5 of the auditions.' Carol (@catitcomb) insisted, 'Tom Sandoval is a complete IDIOT Evil & no one will vote for you Mr. Cheater. We hated you on PumpRules & we still hate you.' X user @Hibiscus_2500 added, 'Oh Tom Sandoval we didn't forget dummy #agt #vanderpumprules.' Dorcha (@dorcharibhinn) added, 'He was better than I thought he would be. But he won't win. Tom Sandoval #AGT #TomSandoval.' One X user dubbed @AGTCommenter said, 'This is an odd prop-up job by the show. What are they gaining from trying to rehab Tom Sandoval's image for him? Jacqueline DeClerg (@JaxDeClerg) tweeted, 'Not Tom Sandoval trying to rebrand on America's Got Talent.' Still, others were livid, like @dreaontime, who said, 'Tom Sandoval was terrible on #AGT. Turned it off and not watching anymore. This show is a joke.' Samantha W (@swasser85) even tagged Bravo's Andy Cohen, adding, '@Andy you watching @AGT? Tom Sandoval is on! I feel awful about how everyone talked about him. It was cruel. Maybe @BravoWWHL shouldn't have fostered it. @TomSandoval1.' Jacqueline DeClerg (@JaxDeClerg) tweeted, 'Not Tom Sandoval trying to rebrand on America's Got Talent.' ShimBo84 (@ShimBo84) added, 'I don't care who the hell Tom Sandoval is, his act on #AGT wasn't good. He has the 'looks,' but his voice isn't great & the act wasn't good. Who agrees? Clearly he's a SOME1 since they're making a big deal about him & want everyone to like the act… but pass. #AmericasGotTalent.'

Chrisley Knows Best star Julie Chrisley reveals tearful reaction to life-changing Donald Trump pardon

Todd and Julie Chrisley are looking back on the life-changing pardons that freed them from from federal prisons last month. In an upcoming interview with President Donald Trump 's daughter-in-law Lara Trump for Fox News that was shared Tuesday via TMZ, Julie, 52, revealed how she was overcome by tears after her daughter Savannah called her with the news that she had received a presidential pardon after being convicted in 2022 of federal bank fraud and tax evasion charges. Todd, 56, also shared his reaction to the news, which was hilariously distinct from the response of his wife Julie, who showed off her standard blond locks after debuting a shocking jail makeover shortly after her release. The convicted fraudsters were joined by their two youngest children: 27-year-old Savannah — who has publicly proclaimed their innocence and advocated for their pardon for years — and their 19-year-old son Grayson, who had picked up Julie from prison after her pardon. Among the couple's missing children were their 35-year-old daughter Lindsie, who has been estranged from her family members, and Kyle, 33, who has also been estranged from his father but admitted he was 'ecstatic' to learn of his parents' pardon. Curiously, the family's middle child, 29-year-old Chase, was also nowhere to be seen during the triumphant interview. Julie, 52, revealed how she was overcome by tears after her daughter Savannah called her with the news that she had received a presidential pardon after being convicted in 2022 of federal bank fraud and tax evasion charges; pictured in a publicity still for Chrisley Knows Best In the interview, Julie recounted calling her daughter from prison and hearing Savannah shout, 'He did it! He signed [the pardon]!' Julie said she 'started busting out crying' after hearing those words. She added that everyone around the phone started staring at her emotional outburst, and it a fit of nervous she 'just hung up' on her daughter. 'It was the craziest thing, and everyone was just looking at me,' Julie said to laughter from her family and the host. She added that 'most of the news that you get in prison is bad news,' so people around her feared for the worst at the sight of her tears and began to ask her if she was all right after her fateful phone call. Todd then shared his own hilarious disparate reaction, which concerned prison guards because of the lack of waterworks. 'This guy stops me and he goes, "Man, I think you just got pardoned." And I said, "Yeah, OK." And I just kept right on walking,' Todd admitted. He said a corrections officer later approached him to ask if he was 'good' due to the bizarre lack of emotion he showed. But Todd took a more serious tone as he went on to say that his family owed 'thanks to God' for facilitating the pardon and leading President Trump to show them mercy. 'Every night I would pray that God would return me home to my wife and my children,' he added; seen May 30 'I said, "As good as I can be." And he said, "Todd, you just got pardoned. They sent me down here to make sure you're OK." And I said, "Well they don't need to be worrying about me now. Hell, if I'm pardoned, I'm great."' But Todd took a more serious tone as he went on to say that his family owed 'thanks to God' for facilitating the pardon and leading President Trump to show them mercy. 'I'm grateful, because every night I would pray that God would return me home to my wife and my children,' he added in a low voice. 'And He did that, so I'm grateful.' Unlike his older siblings, Chase has apparently maintained a solid relationship with his parents like his two younger siblings. But he has seemingly been missing in action from the post-pardon celebrations that his family has engaged in. Earlier this year, Chase ran into trouble with the law when he was arrested after an alleged bar fight. According to a police report, he 'became really drunk' at a bar in Atlanta, Georgia, and 'started to act very disrespectful and belligerent.' When the bar manager asked him to leave because of his behavior, Chase allegedly ' slapped' the manager twice in the face. His attorneys subsequently denied the details in the report, claiming that 'He did not assault anyone' and alleging that he was 'calling a driver to take him home' and 'trying to close out his tab and leave' before the alleged incident. In the wake of his arrest, Chase announced on March 29 that he was 'Almost one month alcohol free' and 'feeling better than I have in years.' He has also gone all out to promote his new non-alcoholic seltzer this month. After a nearly three-week jury trial, Todd and Julie were convicted in June 2022 of conspiring to defraud banks in the Atlanta, Georgia area out of more than $30 million in personal loans by submitting false documents. They were also found guilty of wire fraud and tax evasion, obscuring their earnings while showcasing a luxurious lifestyle with expensive cars and designer clothes. After years of advocating for her parents' pardon, Savannah showed fealty to President Trump by transforming into a 'MAGA Barbie' with a hot-pink Trump-supporting outfit when she announced her parents' pardons on May 28. 'President Trump signed the pardons at around 3pm this afternoon and it's all due to President Trump, Alice Johnson, Ed Martin, all of them,' she told the crowd. 'They have truly just shown up and looked at [Todd and Julie's] case with a fine-tooth comb and they've seen the corruption.' After her call with Trump, Savannah said she arrived at her dad's prison in Pensacola at 2 in the morning on Wednesday and has been waiting there since. 'I have not gone to sleep. I did not bring any clothes with me. I did not bring a toothbrush with me. I brought absolutely nothing with me,' she revealed with a laugh. 'I'm just a daughter that wants to take my dad home with me.' When asked what Todd and Julie's reactions were to Trump's pardon, Savannah said that he was initially in total disbelief. 'They didn't believe it. [The pardon] literally came out of nowhere. As I said before, I was walking into the grocery store when I got the call from the president,' she explained. 'I was just in such shock and such awe that the president himself called me and took the time to let me know that my family's coming back together.' Savannah said that her and Trump's entire correspondence was captured 'on video' and that he had called to let her know that he was 'reuniting [her] family.' According to TMZ, production has already started on a new reality show for the Chrisleys, and a camera crew followed both Savannah and Grayson as they traveled to pick up their parents from prison. The couple's shock release will be a major storyline for the new show, according to members of the production. However, the show will be missing out on one particularly dramatic moment, as Trump's unexpected phone call to Savannah was reportedly not captured by Lifetime's camera crew.

Caleb Williams spotted with stunning Hollywood star Madelyn Cline amid childhood sweetheart split rumors

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has been making the most of his offseason, even amid rumors he has split with his childhood sweetheart. The NFL star, 23, was spotted by fans fanscing away at the Summer Smash music festival in Illinois over the weekend with a very famous friend alongside him in Hollywood star Madelyn Cline. In May, speculation began that Williams and girlfriend Alina Thyregod had split when he made a solo appearance at the Miami Grand Prix. In the now viral TikTok videos, Williams and Cline seem to be with a larger group of friends and they are just seen dancing to the music, with no further signs of any intimacy. Williams has not spoken publicly about his relationship status since the speculation about Thyregod began. Fans have also claimed that Thyregod has removed pictures of Williams from her social media account - her Instagram is currently private but Williams is one of her followers. Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams was pictured dancing with Hollywood star Madelyn Cline Williams will head into his second season with the Bears off the back of a summer of upheavel in Chicago. He has a new head coach in Ben Johson, who signed from Detroit Lions, while the organization also traded for former Kansas City Chiefs guard Joe Thuney. In his rookie season, Williams showed plenty of promise but it was a disastrous campaign overall for his team. They endured a 10-game losing streak which saw Matt Eberflus fired as head coach. The Bears ended the season on a miserable 5-12 record, last in the NFC North. Cline, meanwhile, was recently involved in a surprising social media reference from none other than Olivia Dunne. The interaction began when an X user described the upcoming College World Series between LSU and Coastal Carolina as the 'Madelyn Cline vs Livvy Dunne Bowl', given the pair's previous education at the rival schools. The fairly innocent comment was then taken deep into left-field by Dunne, who surprisingly replied: 'Gooner World Series'.
