TTD appeals to devotees not to fall prey to middlemen
In a statement released today by TTD, stated that a person operating a Facebook page titled 'Vaishnava Yatras' under the name of Peddinti Prabhakaracharyulu is falsely promoting the availability of Srivari Abhishekam, Arjitha Sevas, VIP Break Darshan, and Rs. 300 Special Entry Darshan tickets.
TTD cautioned the devotees not to trust such fake individuals or websites. All tickets must be booked only through the official TTD website.
TTD also warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who attempt to cheat devotees in the name of Srivari Darshan tickets.

6 cyber criminals arrested in Nuh
Gurugram, Aug 17 (PTI) Six suspected cyber criminals were arrested in Nuh in three different fraud cases for their involvement in duping people of lakhs of rupees, police said. Police have recovered mobile phones, fake SIMs, ATM cards and other digital evidence from their possession, they added. According to the police, two brothers were arrested for allegedly duping people by giving them false promises of working from home for 'Nataraj pencil company". The brothers — Tauhid and Wahid, residents of Tirwada village in Nuh district, were found with two mobile phones with fake WhatsApp Facebook and Instagram accounts in the name of Rajiv Singh and Pooja Devi, they added. Mohammad Tasleem, a resident of Ferozepur Dhahar village, was arrested in another cheating case. In the third case, three men were arrested for allegedly running an illegal business of selling fake bank kits, ATM cards and SIM cards to cyber thugs. Police recovered fake ATM cards of UCO Bank, Union Bank and Indian Bank, VI and Airtel SIMs, Realme and Vivo phones from their possession, they added. Dharmasthala case: Ananya Bhat's photo released
Mangaluru, Aug 17 (UNI) The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Dharmasthala case has intensified its investigation even as the missing case of Ananya Bhat, filed by her mother Sujatha Bhat, has come into the spotlight. Sujatha Bhat released the passport-size photograph of her daughter, Ananya Bhat, for the first time, following mounting questions about the girl's identity and her disappearance. Until now, despite filing a complaint, Sujatha had not provided any photograph, raising doubts in public and among investigators. According to the complaint, Ananya, a medical college student, had visited the Dharmasthala temple with her friends but never returned. Sujatha, who was then working as a stenographer with the CBI in Kolkata, alleged that when she tried to lodge a missing complaint, she was threatened and turned away. She also claimed that when she raised the matter before the temple administration, she was assaulted by the staff, leaving her in a coma for three months. The controversy deepened after a masked complainant alleged that hundreds of bodies were buried in Dharmasthala. Sujatha submitted that if her daughter's remains were found among those exhumed and her DNA matched, the body should be handed over to her so that Hindu last rites could be performed. The SIT is simultaneously carrying out the exhumation of skeletal remains and examining Sujatha's complaint. Sujatha's lawyer Manjunath urged her to release her daughter's photograph in response to widespread demands on social media. 8 fined for misuse of Rs 1.35L funds under MGNREGA in Palamu
Daltonganj: The Ramgarh block development officer (BDO) on August 14 convicted eight individuals under Section 25 of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in Bansdih panchayat under Ramgarh block of Palamu on charges of misuse of over Rs 1.35 lakh govt funds and imposed fine on each of them. The convicted were identified as mukhiya Sangeeta Devi, panchayat sachiv Suraj Kumar Singh, junior engineer with MGNREGA Pankaj Kumar Singh, and rozgar sewak Ravindra Ram. Each of these four was fined Rs 1,000 under Section 25 of the MGNREGA. Also, each of the four would have to pay the outstanding recovery amount, bringing the total to Rs 28,072 per person. The rest were Mahesh Singh, Aarti Singh, Rinki Devi, and Soram Devi — beneficiaries of the Birsa Harit Gram Yojna from Peerhay village under Bansdih panchayat. The amount to be recovered from each, including the Rs 500 fine, are Rs 8,622, Rs 9,975, Rs 4,561, and Rs 5,914, respectively. The eight were ordered to deposit the amounts at the earliest. The convictions followed the detection of irregularities in the Birsa Harit Gram Yojna by James Herenj, an executive committee member of the Jharkhand Social Audit Society. They had misappropriated over Rs 1.35 lakh before the corruption was uncovered by the executive committee member." The additional district programme co-ordinator of MGNREGA in Palamu and deputy development commissioner, M Jawed Hussain, said, "The contravention has been detected and legitimate actions drawn against all the eight."
