Navodaya Admission: JNVST Class 6 registration ends soon, link to apply
At present, 654 JNVs are functional in 27 states and 8 Union Territories (UTs).
The entrance test will be held in two phases. The first phase is scheduled for Saturday, December 13. In this phase, JNVST will be conducted at Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh (except Dibang Valley & Tawang Districts), Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (except Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti, Solan and Shimla Districts), Jammu & Kashmir (only for Jammu-I, Jammu-II, Samba & Udhampur) Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand & West Bengal (except Darjeeling), Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.
The second phase will be held on Saturday, Aprill 11 for Jammu and Kashmir (except Jammu-I, Jammu-II, Samba & Udhampur), Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and in the Districts of Dibang Valley and Tawang of Arunachal Pradesh, in the Districts of Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti, Solan and Shimla of Himachal Pradesh, in the District of Darjeeling of West Bengal, and Leh & Kargil districts of UT Ladakh.
JNVST 2025: Documents required
The following documents in soft form (JPG format of size between 10 to 100 kb) will be required:
• Photograph
• Signature of parent
• Signature of candidate
• Aadhaar details/ Residence certificate issued by the competent Government
authority.
Basic details of candidate like state, district, block, Aadhaar number, APAAR ID, PEN number etc.

Farmers protest over urea shortage as queues get lengthier in many districts in Telangana
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA / KARIMNAGAR/ KHAMMAM : Farmers in Chandurthi, Yellareddipet, Illanthakunta, and Konaraopet mandals of Rajanna-Sircilla district, and Huzurabad, Karimnagar district, faced severe difficulties on Monday in procuring urea bags. They complained of spending long hours at fertiliser shops and primary agricultural cooperative societies (PACS), leaving them with little time for paddy transplantation. In Chandurthi, farmers placed their footwear in queues to reserve spots, alleging only one bag was being issued per Aadhaar card. Many said they were visiting shops daily due to the shortage. Long queues are being witnessed from morning to evening for urea bags. BRS leader and Vemulawada in-charge Chalmeda Laxminarsimha Rao alleged that the government lacked proper planning, causing severe inconvenience to farmers, and warned of protests in their support. In Karimnagar district, farmers from about 10 villages visit the local PACS daily but often return empty-handed. Kallepu Hanumantha Rao from Sirnapally said he had been coming for three weeks and still failed to get a urea bag. Farmers demanded that the government supply the required quantity of urea immediately, blaming poor management. Similar protests were also witnessed in Wyra in Khammam. District secretary of the Telangana Raithu Sangham, Bontu Rambabu, on Monday alleged that farmers were facing severe difficulties in getting adequate urea and fertilisers this season. Wyra mandal agricultural officer Manju Khan said there was some urea shortage and the problem is being addressed by redistributing excess stock.

MP board relaxes Apaar ID rule, relief for parents, teachers
Indore: In a major relief for parents and schoolteachers across the state, Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) decided to relax the mandatory requirement of Apaar ID for Class 9–12 examination applications in 2025–26 academic session. The Apaar ID, a unique identification number for each student, became a source of stress in recent months. To generate it, the names and addresses of students' parents had to match exactly in both Aadhaar and Samagra databases. Even a minor spelling error meant parents spent hours in long queues at Aadhaar centres or visited municipal corporation zones for Samagra corrections. Teachers were also under pressure to meet strict deadlines for collecting data, often diverting attention from academic work. "Parents were spending days just to correct a single digit or letter in records. The relaxation means we can now focus on teaching rather than paperwork," said Ramesh Arya, a govt school teacher from Indore. The order, issued recently, states that Apaar ID will no longer be mandatory while filling exam forms this year. "We recognised the challenges being faced and decided to address them proactively," MPBSE spokesperson, Bhupesh Gupta said.
