The German has revolutionised the Catalans off the pitch after suffering a trophyless season last term under his fired predecessor Xavi Hernandez.
Barca currently leads La Liga by three points, and is through to the Copa del Rey final where it will face a team it already beat to lift the Spanish Super Cup in bitter rival Real Madrid on April 26.
Furthermore, Flick's men have advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals and have a realistic chance of getting to a first semifinal since 2019 providing they can see off Borussia Dortmund over two legs from next week onwards.
It's not just the results that speak for themselves, however, and instead the way Flick has a previously clunky engine functioning in prime form on his watch.
Barca is widely-believed to play the most visually attractive soccer in Europe at the moment, and regularly racks up more than four goals per outing while the players are clearly enjoying themselves.
Flick is though to be getting the best out of charges because of the meticulous way he studied the club, and especially La Masia, ahead of taking over the reins from Xavi.
Wishing to head a 'medium-to-long term' project, Flick has requested that a sort of residence is built at the club's Joan Gamper CT which is an idea that has been approved by the board according to Catalunya Radio.
The two-or-three storey building is something that rival outfits such as Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid already boast, the men's first team would use the facility the most to stay over when needed instead of having to rely on hotels when staying overnight is needed.
At this moment the project doesn't have any deadlines or start dates to get underway. Yet even if Flick falls short of landing a first treble for Barca since 2015, he's almost certain to continue in his role in 2025/2026.
Flick's contract also expires on June 30 of the latter year, i.e. at the end of the next campaign, but there has been reported interest about getting his terms extended.

German teenager Engel's historic run ends in straight-set loss to Auger-Aliassime
Associated Press STUTTGART, Germany (AP) — A day after Justin Engel became the youngest tennis player in 40 years to reach a men's tour quarterfinal on grass, his run at the Stuttgart Open ended with a loss to Felix Auger-Aliassime on Friday. The 17-year-old German gave former U.S. Open semifinalist Auger-Aliassime a tough fight in the first set before the Canadian took a 7-6 (3), 6-3 win. Auger-Aliassime next plays second-seeded Taylor Fritz in the semifinals. The Canadian's victory keeps up a record of reaching the semifinals all three times he's played in Stuttgart. He was runner-up in 2019 and 2021. Engel's upset win over U.S. player Alex Michelsen on Thursday made him the youngest player to reach the quarters of any tour-level men's grass-court event since Boris Becker won Wimbledon as a 17-year-old in 1985. Engel this week also became the second-youngest player since 1990, behind Rafael Nadal, to have won a match on all three surfaces — grass, clay and hard-court — on the tour. ___ More AP tennis:

Aston Villa make approach to sign Jesus Rodriguez from Real Betis
Aston Villa have made an approach to sign Real Betis winger Jesus Rodriguez. The Athletic reported in the Transfer DealSheet on June 3 that Villa are looking increase their wide forward options this summer. Villa's main focus is to balance books before the June 30 profitability and sustainability deadline, but the club also want to sign a wide player and Rodriguez is among the options senior figures have contacted to outline parameters of a potential deal. Advertisement Rodriguez, 19, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Betis, scoring three goals in 31 appearances for Manuel Pellegrini's side having graduated through the club's youth system. He is a winger who plays predominantly on the left flank and was a second-half substitute in the side's Conference League final defeat to Chelsea. Rodriguez has appeared three times this calendar year for Spain's under-21 side, while he has started 20 matches for Betis — who recorded a sixth-place finish in La Liga last season. Analysis by Jacob Tanswell Villa are targeting a couple of positions — namely right-back, centre-back and a versatile attacker — but strengthening in the wide areas is needed. Leon Bailey is expected to leave in this window, with Saudi Arabian clubs expressing an interest. This would leave Villa without an archetypal wide player, with Lewis Dobbin expected to go on loan again next season and Samuel Iling-Junior unlikely to get the regular game-time he wants, should he return to Villa after loans at Bologna and Middlesbrough last season. Additionally, there are questions as to whether his long-term future instead lies at left-back. Rodriguez typically operates from the left side at Real Betis but suits Unai Emery's preference for his attackers to be versatile and play in multiple positions across the frontline. Should Villa pursue a deal, the 19-year-old would offer pace and a threat in behind.
