Man arrested in connection with a burglary at a Birmingham church
A man has been detained in connection with a burglary at a church in Birmingham.
Items were taken from the church, said to be in Selly Oak, during a break-in back in February.
West Midlands Police said they had arrested a 47-year-old in connection with the offence on Wednesday (May 28).

The man was arrested on suspicion of burglary in Cotterills Avenue this afternoon.
He remains in custody and will be questioned.

A statement from WMP said: "A man has been arrested after a church was broken into earlier this year.
Officers from our Proactive Crime Team in Birmingham arrested a man in Cotterills Avenue earlier this afternoon.
"The 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

"He has been arrested in connection with the burglary at a church in Selly Oak in February.
"He remains in custody for questioning," the statement said.
The arrest was part of Operation Skybridge, where officers target offenders and disrupt crime."

Travellers move back on to popular family park 24 hours after clean-up
Travellers have moved back onto a popular family park just a day after a clean-up was completed. A small group of caravans set up camp on Swanshurst Park, on the outskirts of Moseley and Billesley, on Sunday (June 1). There are constant calls to beef up barriers with logs and other measures to prevent access. Mary Hart said last month on Facebook: "There have been three lots of travellers this year on Swanshurst. "Each time a different group. Last time there were two groups at the same time. "The clean-up is mostly done by volunteers with help from the council."

Birmingham man charged with £16,000 jewellery heists across West Midlands
A Birmingham man has been charged with multiple jewellery shop thefts totalling thousands of pounds. Nick Dosanjh, from Simmons Drive in Quinton, has been charged with nine shop theft offences. They are said to have taken place across the West Midlands including in Birmingham, the Black Country and Solihull. 'Eight offences relate to thefts from jewellery stores where more than £16,000 of jewellery has been stolen. 'This comes after officers from traffic officers stopped a suspicious vehicle in Oldbury earlier this week. 'Following enquiries the driver was fined for driving without a licence and insurance.'
