Adam Hadwin's angry club smash sets off sprinklers at Valspar Championship
Adam Hadwin missed the cut on Friday at the Valspar Championship, but that doesn't mean his aim was off.
Although the Canadian was sent packing after a 76 during the second round of action at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook in Palm Harbor, Florida, his aim was impeccable during an outburst on the course.
The likable Hadwin, who's had a rollercoaster 2025 season thus far — finishing T9 at the Phoenix Open, but now missing the cut in three of his last four events — was set off after posting a double on the 10th hole. The gaffe pushed him from 1 over to 3 over and effectively made the cut nearly impossible to reach.
That's when the University of Louisville product took a pick cut in the thick rough just off the green and hit a sprinkler head, which immediately turned the irrigation on. His reaction after the hit was fantastic.

Hadwin went to make another double on No. 16 after pulling his ball into the water and finished at 5 over for 36 holes. The 76 he posted wasn't even his worst round of the young campaign — Hadwin had a 77 in the second round at The Players Championship in his last start and also opened the Genesis Invitational with an 83.
