Dua Lipa finally confirms engagement to Callum Turner
It's been half a year since Dua Lipa, 29, sparked engagement speculation after flashing a chunky ring over Christmas— and it's finally official.
The Levitating hitmaker revealed that she is engaged to her boyfriend Callum Turner after he proposed with a very special ring.
An Instagram photo dump first sparked rumours as a sparkling diamond could be seen on that finger, but Dua stayed silent.
Months after teasing fans, she confirmed in an interview with British Vogue that she and Callum, 35, are set to tie the knot.
'Yeah, we're engaged,' last year's Glastonbury headliner cooly shared. 'It's very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever – it's a really special feeling.'
Dua revealed that Callum popped the question with a custom-made ring, which he had consulted with her sister Rina over.
'I'm obsessed with it,' she continued. 'It's so me. It's nice to know the person that you're going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.'
The happy couple began dating in January 2024 and made their relationship Instagram official in July.
Dua was first spotted out with the Fantastic Beasts actor in March, with the pair grabbing a spot of dinner on date night in London.
The Houdini icon had seen him before they began dating, having bumped into each other at The River Cafe and been introduced by the co-founder and Table 4 podcast host Ruth Rogers.
At this point, Callum was simply 'that really hot guy' from the cafe, but a year later, their paths crossed once more, and she took the plunge.
Book fanatic Dua bonded with the actor over the fact they were both reading the same novel — a real compatibility test.
Despite this meet-cute, the duo are not rushing down the aisle as between Callum's film shoots and Dua's tour there is little time to plan.
'We're just enjoying this period,' she explained. 'I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I'm like: 'Oh, what would I wear?''
We're sure whatever Dua chooses to wear will be a show-stopper.
When the rumours of their engagement began last year, a source told The Sun: 'They are engaged and couldn't be happier.
'Dua has had one of the best years of her career professionally, and this is the cherry on the cake. Callum is such a solid support for Dua, and they make a wonderful couple.'
Last year was certainly a big one for the Future Nostalgia icon as she headlined Glastonbury alongside Coldplay and Sza.
Her set was praised by festival goers, filled with big hits, dance numbers, and a guest appearance from Tame Impala. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C82YyW5sikI/
However, it wasn't just on stage she was making an impact as Dua went viral for an interaction with a man who sang to her backstage. More Trending
Dua was enjoying some downtime wandering around the 15000-acre site when a fan armed with a ukulele stopped her.
The Camden busker introduced himself, and said: 'I want to play you 30 seconds of my song and if you like it, I just want your reaction.'
Glancing at the camera, Dua agreed with the busker launching into exactly 30 seconds of his ukulele song before she cut him off and said, 'Well done mate. So good, so good.'
As she attempted to escape, the guy asked for a hug — which Dua politely obliged before high-tailing it out of there and making a beeline for Callum.

The Drop It Like It's Hot hitmaker was given French bulldog Juelz as a 43rd birthday gift from Wiz Khalifa in 2014 but now his beloved pet has passed away. Snoop shared a video of Juelz in the front seat of his car, soundtracked by Weldon Irvine's 'Morning Sunrise' and wrote on Instagram: ""Rip @juelzbroadus [crying emoji]Thank wiz for giving him to me.(sic)" The 53-year-old rapper then shared a second video, which featured a montage of Juelz with Snoop and his family and friends over the years, with Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's 'See You Again' playing over the top. He wrote: "Miss my dogg @juelzbroadus (sic)" Juelz had his own Instagram account, which had thousands of followers and documented his adventures with his famous owner over the years. Meanwhile, Snoop - who has another French bulldog, Frank - recently admitted he is keen to open a food stall at Celtic Park, the Scottish home of his favourite soccer side Celtic. Article continues below He told Scotland's Sunday Mail newspaper: "There has always been the opinion that food at sports stadiums is never good but that ain't got to be the case. "People know that Snoop is a cook and I would love to bring a pop up burger to a sports stadium to show fans that food at stadiums can be good. "It's got to be Celtic Park man, I mean where else am I going to bring it. "The secret to a good burger is the love in the preparation. The ground beef has got to be mixed with some secret spices, then add a good quality cheese and some maple cured bacon. "The Celtic fans are gonna love it, and to make sure they are just right, Snoop is going to be serving them himself." But Snoop has no interest in offering his food to Celtic's great rivals rangers. Article continues below He said: "Am I going to bring my burgers to Rangers as well? Nah, I think we will give that a miss!" Snoop revealed back in 2012 that he wanted to buy shares in Celtic after watching the Parkhead side beat Barcelona in the Champions League in November that year. At the time he said: "I got a lot of interest in soccer. It's not a new thing for hip hop stars to invest in sports teams but it is a new thing for hip hop stars to invest in soccer teams...I see how passionate Celtic fans are about their team and I could see myself making an investment if any of the board wanted to sell...I want to bring a bit of Snoop to things."
