Celtic keeper out to retain Scotland spot even if he's third choice
Doohan made his debut for his country in the friendly against Liechtenstein in Vaduz earlier this month due to a raft of injuries and kept a clean sheet in a 4-0 victory.
The 27-year-old, who received a late call-up from manager Steve Clarke after Angus Gunn and Robby McCrorie suffered injuries, loved representing his country for the first time.

The man who made 18 appearances for Aberdeen last term and picked up a Scottish Cup winner's medal is keen to retain his place in the national squad going forward.
He knows that getting a start at Celtic ahead of Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo will be a tall order during the 2025/26 campaign.
However, Doohan is optimistic that being at the Scottish champions will work in his favour when the opening World Cup qualifiers against Denmark and Belarus away come around in September.
(Image: Colin Mearns) 'I always thought there was a chance I could get in when I played the few games last year,' he said. 'I got a good amount of game time last season and I thought it would put me in good stead.
'Then when I got the call during the summer to come and meet up with the squad for the Lichtenstein game midway through my holiday, I dropped everything I could, packed my case and then just got the first flight back to Glasgow so I could meet up with the squad.

'It's just given me that drive. I don't want it to be a one-and-only cap. I want to get called up more and hopefully get more caps in the future.
'Any game for Scotland would be exciting to be involved in. Getting called up to your country is a great honour. But I'm looking forward to the World Cup qualifiers. If I get called up, I'd be absolutely buzzing with it.'
Asked if he thought he could get called upon by Scotland even if he is behind Schmeichel and Sinisalo in the Celtic pecking order, he said, 'Yes, it could be a possibility, but I believe I could do it, I need to back myself and we'll just need to see what happens in the future.'

Doohan hopes to earn Celtic chance & become Scotland 'mainstay'
Ross Doohan has backed himself to get enough game time at Celtic to become "a mainstay" in the Scotland being handed a surprise international debut against Liechtenstein earlier this month amid a goalkeeping crisis within Steve Clarke's squad, the 27-year-old sealed a return to his boyhood club on a three-year deal last who spent most of the past two seasons as number two at Aberdeen after leaving Parkhead to join Tranmere in 2022, is expected to start off as third choice at Celtic behind Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo."It's obviously going to be difficult," he said when asked about the battle to get game time with the Scottish champions. "There are two top goalkeepers at the club already and I'm buzzing to be working with them."I'm just looking to work as hard as I can and put my face out there. I'm hoping to push myself into the team. I know it'll be hard, but I back said he had enjoyed "a surreal couple of weeks" after landing his return to Celtic so soon after his unexpected international keeper, who cut a summer holiday short to join up with Clarke's Scotland squad, is confident his big move can aid his quest to add to his solitary cap."If I get a call-up again I'm hoping I'd impress and hopefully end up a mainstay in the squad," Doohan added."Obviously I'm moving to one of the biggest clubs in the world and the biggest club in Scotland, so that's always going to put you in good stead. "I just need to push myself at Celtic, hopefully get some game time and then take it from there."

Celtic 'after' standout Swiss Super League midfielder
The 24-year-old caught the eye while playing for Yverdon in the Swiss top flight last season, scoring four goals and assisting three across 27 appearances. Eligible to play for both Mali and France, Baradji joined his current club from Legnago last summer. English Championship side Sunderland are in talks to sign Baradji, claims africafoot, although Celtic, along with FC Basel, Torino, Parma, and Fiorentina, are 'after' the player's services. Baradji is said to be available for €3 million. Read more: Celtic have been relatively busy in the transfer market this summer. Benjamin Nygren appears set to join the Parkhead club, with Nordsjaelland's sporting director recently admitting that replacing a player of his quality won't come cheap. "When you play with so many young players, and they make their debut on various A-national teams, offers can come in, and that is something we are continuously evaluating," Riget told Tipsbladet. "Our strategy is always to use our own young talents as much as possible, but if there are places in the team where we can see an opportunity for a qualitative boost while the talents grow, and that it is also in the form of a profile type that can support our own academy players, that is of course something we will look at. "We are looking for players in different places on the pitch where they can help increase our level and provide more stability. "For example, we can see that there is great and early interest in offensive, young players, so it is always a good idea if we have a player type like Benjamin Nygren, who has performed well over a number of years and given us stability in the front line. "In addition to looking for an offensive player, we are also looking at other positions. "So we will be active in the summer transfer window. It costs some money, but with the right quality we are also ready to invest. "If something happens, we may have to do something further but the focus will always and will continue to be on creating space and time for the many talents that come up from the academies in Farum and Ghana."

Former Southampton and Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana announces retirement
The 37-year-old represented Saints, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Brighton and England, earning 34 caps and scoring three goals for his country, including the goal in Sam Allardyce's only England game in charge – a 1-0 victory over Slovakia. Lallana spent the majority of his career with Southampton, where he began his senior career in 2006, then returned for a second spell in 2024 after playing elsewhere for a decade, finishing his career with 283 games and scoring 60 goals across his two spells at St Mary's. Lallana wrote on Instagram: 'As I call time on my playing career, I do so with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and pride. 'I could not be more appreciative of the opportunities I've been given and the support I've received along the way. 'You owe so much to so many on a journey like this — it's impossible to name everyone, but to all those please know how grateful I am. I couldn't have done it without you. 'It's crazy to think this all began in the last millennium, when I signed for the academy in 1999. Since making my professional debut in 2006, I realise I've been blessed to live the dream that millions of people share.' Lallana also reflected on each of his clubs including Southampton, where he went on to become captain following the club's return to the Premier League in 2012, and Liverpool, where he made 178 appearances, scoring 22 goals and winning the Champions League and Premier League between 2014 and 2020. He also represented England at the 2016 Euros, and scored his first international goal in September 2016. Lallana continued: 'Every single cap meant the world to me. Representing my country was the greatest honour. 'I'm proud of the playing career I've had and have no regrets about any of it. I embrace all the highs and all the lows as they've shaped me into who I am. He added: 'I'm excited for whatever the future brings.'
