OXFORD United left back Jack Currie is heading to Wembley with loan club Leyton Orient.
The O's won 4-1 on penalties at Stockport County following a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final.
Ollie O'Neill put Orient 3-2 up on aggregate after just three minutes when he finished from a tight angle following a lobbed free kick into the penalty box.
The hosts saw captain Fraser Horsfall head against the post, while Charlie Kelman went close to doubling the Orient advantage just before half-time with a header that bounced down off the underside of the crossbar.
The Hatters levelled the tie though with 16 minutes to go thanks to a clever backheel from Isaac Olaofe, who then spurned a great chance in the closing moments, but failed to hit the target after charging into the penalty box.

Odin Bailey hit the post for the Hatters late in the second period of extra time, with the absorbing encounter then going to penalties.
Orient goalkeeper Josh Keeley saved from Jack Diamond, while Ryan Rydel hit the post, as the O's won 4-1 in the shoot-out.
Orient are now a game away from a return to the second tier for the first time since 1982.
Currie impressed in playing the first 65 minutes before being substituted with a knock, but he still made the joint most tackles in the game (five) and enjoyed the best passing accuracy of any O's player (81.8 per cent).

Saville chooses Hatters over Championship offers

Luton will sign experienced Championship midfielder George Saville when his Millwall contract expires at the end of June. The Northern Ireland international, who turned 32 last week, has spent the past four seasons playing for the Lions in the second tier, appearing in 45 of their 46 Championship games last season as they narrowly missed the play-offs. Advertisement Hatters boss Matt Bloomfield told the club website: "We're really pleased to sign George, not just because of the experience and quality he'll bring, but because he's really enthused about the challenge that lies ahead. "He's chosen us over some Championship offers which shows his belief in our club, and that's the type of character we're after. "We're hoping George can help us with his leadership and ability to knit the game together in the middle of the pitch. He's going to be an important component of the squad." Saville said: "It's been a tough couple of years for the club but this is now a chance to correct that. Speaking with the manager, and what he wants to do, there's a chance to build something, create a good atmosphere and have a good season. Advertisement "I had offers in the Championship but since the first conversation with the manager it was clear-cut, it fits what I want and it's an opportunity to achieve something." After coming through the ranks at Chelsea, Saville made well over 200 appearances for Millwall across four spells at The Den, the first two on loan, and also had time with Brentford, Wolves and Middlesbrough, making more than 100 Boro appearances before returning to Millwall in 2021. He has also won more than 50 caps for his country since making his debut in 2017, and teed up the only goal as Northern Ireland beat Iceland in a friendly on Tuesday night. Saville's arrival comes after the Hatters confirmed the return of veteran defender Kal Naismith on Tuesday.

Championship clubs chasing Northern Ireland midfielder Ethan Galbraith

Ethan Galbraith looks set to be offered an immediate route into the Championship after missing out on promotion with Leyton Orient. The midfielder was a star performer for Orient last season helping them reach the League One play-off final before they came up short against Charlton Athletic. Advertisement But it seems the Northern Ireland international could be stepping up a division with the Brisbane Road club bracing themselves for offers for the player, who is entering the final year of his current deal. Swansea reportedly had a £1m bid for Galbraith knocked back by Orient in January as Richie Wellens' side made a push for promotion. Advertisement But after failing to make it out of the division and with Galbraith's current contract situation they may before forced to revisit the situation in the summer. The former Manchester United player's versatility is a big selling point for those clubs hoping to snap him up. Galbraith featured mainly at right back for the League One outfit but is also accomplished in a midfield role. He has made a real impact since joining Leyton Orient in 2023 with six goals and eight assists in 51 appearances for the club. Both Sheffield United and Swansea are keen to rebuild their squads for a promotion push to the Premier League next season. Advertisement The Blades also suffered play-off final heartache when they lost out to Sunderland at Wembley and they will be looking to bounce back next season. Galbraith is currently on international duty with Northern Ireland and started Saturday evening's friendly against Denmark in Copenhagen.

Will Red-Hot Orioles Consider Trading Ryan Mountcastle?

Will Red-Hot Orioles Consider Trading Ryan Mountcastle? originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Maybe it's time to keep an eye on the Baltimore Orioles. After what's appeared to be a lost season, including the firing of manager Brandon Hyde, the Orioles are suddenly on fire. The O's have won six in a row and nine of 11 games to give fans a glimmer of what many thought the club could be coming into 2025. Advertisement Their latest uptick could be the reason why the Orioles alter their philosophy going into next month's MLB trade deadline. As noted by Mark Feinsand, 'Baltimore might be the most intriguing team to watch during the next eight weeks.' Say the Orioles climb closer to .500 – they went into Friday at 25-36 – and find themselves back in the Wild Card race? That could change things considerably, according to Feinsand. What will the Orioles do at the MLB trade deadline? 'If the Orioles are able to turn things around, GM Mike Elias could look to add some much-needed pitching with the hope of a second-half run, but the more likely scenario is that Baltimore opts to sell off some pieces and look to contend in 2026,' Feinsand wrote. Yes, it's a big ask for the O's to get back in contention by the July 31 deadline to make deals. As pointed out, the team has a number of pitchers such as Zach Eflin, Tomoyuki Sugano, Charlie Morton, Gregory Soto and Seranthony Dominguez headed to free agency after this season, along with outfielders Cedric Mullins, Ryan O'Hearn and Ramón Laureano. Advertisement Those are attractive expiring contracts to dangle in trades, with Feinsand adding that 'Eflin, Sugano, Mullins and O'Hearn would all help a number of contenders should they get moved.' But those aren't the only assets. First baseman Ryan Mountcastle, who has one year of team control remaining and it currently on the injured list, could be an 'intriguing trade candidate' with recently-recalled top prospect Coby Mayo 'waiting in the wings.'
