Cat Deeley is snapped for the first time since her shock split from husband Patrick Kielty... with a male friend in Spain

Daily Mail5 days ago
Cat Deeley has been spotted for the first time since her shock split from husband Patrick Kielty was announced, enjoying dinner with a male friend in Spain.
In pictures obtained exclusively by The Daily Mail, the This Morning host, 48, was snapped out at a restaurant in Sitges, frequently visited by celebrities, minus her wedding ring.
According to fellow diners at the picturesque eatery called Chiringuito de Garraf, the presenter appeared 'downcast' while wearing a halter neck dress and golden sandals, as she tucked into her meal, believed to be lobster.
The mystery man joining her for dinner was hairdresser pal Ben Skervin, who documented his trip to Spain on his Instagram page which Cat commented on, writing: 'I love you'.
The Londoner has previously featured on snaps alongside Cat on social media and describes his himself as a 'freelance celebrity and fashion hairdresser' and according to his personal website, previously worked with the Spice Girls, Keira Knightly, Madonna, Mariah Carey and Hugh Jackman, photographers including Karl Lagerfeld and top fashion magazines American Vogue and Vanity Fair among others.
The restaurant snaps were taken on August 2, just days after Cat and Patrick announced their separation after 12 years of marriage.
A fellow diner told The Daily Mail: 'Cat looked a bid down and a touch crestfallen, not her usual spritely self, which is understandable given her marriage split.
'Her accent was recognisable to a number of Brits at the restaurant, which is popular with celebrities, and she had interacted with a few British kids also dining there.
'She clearly needed to be around her nearest and dearest during such a difficult time.'
The Daily Mail approached Cat's reps for comment.
Cat's estranged husband Patrick, 54, was pictured last week on a trip to the shops near the former couple's home in London buying a bottle of red wine. It was the first time he had been pictured since their split was confirmed on July 29.
The Irishman, who shares two sons with Cat - Milo, seven, and James, five - also cut a sombre figure amid news of his separation.
The pair revealed days previously they had taken the decision to end their 12 year marriage, stressing that 'no other party' was involved.
Their split statement read: 'We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.
'We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.'
Confirmation of their separation came five months after Cat's no-show at the funeral of Patrick's beloved late mother Mary which, as The Daily Mail revealed last week, left members of his close-knit family 'seething.'

Patrick was pictured looking bereft as he carried Mary's coffin through his home village, where he was joined by close family and friends at the Church of the Sacred Heart.
A spokesperson for Cat told the Daily Mail at the time: 'Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day.'
But her surprise absence shocked members of Patrick's family.
A relative told The Daily Mail: 'Whatever rockiness was going on in the marriage, something as a momentous as his mother's funeral, you would make up even temporarily and just put your 'best face' on as we say in Northern Ireland.
'Cat obviously knew how close Patrick was to Mary and she should have come to be by his side, a hand on his shoulder as he buried his mother. The fact that she stayed in London and presented This Morning on the day, it's not been forgotten.'
The source added: 'In a very tight knit community in Northern Ireland, people always turn out. It's the done thing. His family remain very upset by this.
'They still can't believe it. It was the point when we all realised that that marriage had ended.'
Cat and Patrick first met in 2002 while they hosted BBC talent show Fame Academy but they did not become an item until ten years later.
Previously Cat told how Patrick turned their friendship into a romance by flying all the way from Belfast to Los Angeles, where the Birmingham-born star hosted US show So You Can Dance for a celebratory brunch.
Cat said: 'It was my birthday and he'd rung me, he was at a pub in Ireland and he'd rung me from the pub.
'Bear in mind it was probably about 2 o'clock in the morning because they'd had a lock-in.'
When Cat told him she was having a birthday brunch at Beverly Hills Hotel with a few friends, she said: 'He said, 'I'll see you there!' I was like, there's no way!
'He went home, set his alarm for five, got up, went to the airport, flew from Belfast to London, then jumped on the first plane from London to LA, got in a cab, told the cabbie on his way from the airport what he was doing, and the driver was literally like 'do you want me to wait for you?!'
'He walked in, dropped his bags at the concierge, walked in and came and sat down for lunch! It knocked my socks off a little bit!'
The pair first went public with their relationship in May 2012 and in September the same year, they married during an intimate ceremony in Rome.
The former couple lived in California for a decade before moving back to the UK due to Cat's keenness to be closer to her family.

Explaining the location switch, Patrick said: 'I think with big decisions, like that, you kind of have to float stuff and see how that's gonna go.
'What was weird about it was, it was Cat who wanted to return, it was more her decision because I think being a young mum and not having the family around and not having that network of cousins and brothers and all of that.
'I think for me, somewhere like London is not home, London's never really going to be home for me, in my head I still live in a little village in County Down, even though I haven't lived there full time for 30 years.
'My family was always a flight away anyway so that idea of it being a longer flight from LA wasn't as much of a problem for me as someone who had to get on a flight to see them anyway.
'I also think because Cat was the one with the successful career out there, she was the one that chose that she wanted to leave that, at that right time, that's a decision that she made and only she can make, and it's your job to support that decision.'
Patrick started presenting The Late Late Show, which is filmed in Dublin on a Friday, from 2023.
The following year, Cat landed her job on This Morning alongside Ben Shephard.

Celebs are making us wince in their eyewatering ‘wedgeshe' to be on trend – please just keep your privates PRIVATE

FORGET corsets or tummy-tucking Spanx - there's a new eye-watering trend that will make you wince. And need to book in regular wax appointments. 9 The saying goes, beauty is pain, but A-listers are bring a whole new meaning. Celebrities from Jennifer Lopez to Naomi Campbell have taken to a new look of wearing ultra high cut and ultra pelvic exposing bodysuits. Just to look at their all-in ones that look not too dissimilar to having your thong on back to front makes my whole body shivers in repulsion and in sympathy pain. I've aptly christened this the wedgeshe. Whilst , 56, has been on her Up All Night tour in various locations including Spain, Italy and Poland she has taken to the stage wearing an extreme version of the wedgshe. The rest of us wouldn't dream of wearing something so revealing and tempting the fate of a god almighty 'reveal', but not our She laughs in the face of exposing danger and continues to hop, skip and leap around stages with nearly everything on show. 9 Don't get me wrong, the Jenny From The Block singer can pull it off her remarkable body but, if I were front row and in the face of, well, that - then I wouldn't be able to concentrate. 9 Earlier this year model Naomi Campbell, 55, took to the catwalk for fashion brand Dsquared2 wearing a long sleeved, leather wedgeshe. Complete with over the knee boots, her jutting hips were out of all to see as she strutted her stuff down the runway. But yikes, the cocktail of that powerful walk (the best in the business), leather, hot lights and nylon tights could potentially result in cystitis. Woman shocks with outfit that shows 'zero class' as she walks down the beach promenade with one butt cheek fully out 9 Also accompanying her in February was rap power house, Doechii. The 27-year-old US star wore her wedgeshe with heeled lace up boots and a waist belt. How she could breathe, let alone rap, with all that restrictive gear on it beyond me. Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley made her never-ending legs look even longer in February at a post-BAFTA Vogue party. 9 The 38-year-old mum of two looked sensational in a black leather wedgeshe with sheer black tights, six inch stilettos and a fluffy shawl. The feathered cover-up does seem a little bit unnecessary considering everything else is exposed, but this is fashion after all. 9 When Dua Lipa signed up to be the face of fashion and beauty brand Yves Saint Laurent, I'm sure wearing a wedgeshe wasn't listed in the T's&C's. But the trooper that she is, the 29-year-old strapped into her belted number that not only was suffocating on the pelvic area but also had cut outs at the side for one of the brands campaigns. I'm no marketing genius but I doubt anyone was looking at the lipgloss they were selling - or was it mascara? 9 9 Other wedgeshe fans include Ashely Roberts, 43, who wore a daring look to Fashion Week and of course, if there's a controversial trend you know Bianca Sensori has tried it. The 30-year-old however didn't go for the chastity belt style, but a somewhat more breathable apron style, but still in it was made of rubber. If this trend continues to grow, I urge you high street brands and shoppers to not start making wedegshe looks for party season. Keep your standards high and your privates private.

Chris Hemsworth shows off his ripped physique during intense workout after celebrating his birthday in Ibiza without wife Elsa Pataky

is back to focusing on his fitness after his star-studded birthday bash in Ibiza. The Aussie actor, who rang in his 42nd birthday last week on a yacht off the popular Spanish Island, took to Instagram on Sunday to show off his boxing skills. In the clip, Chris' huge muscles and strong build were on display while wearing an all-black ensemble during the workout. The video showed the Thor star being coached by fellow Aussie personal trainer Luke Zocchi, who is also an ambassador for Chris' fitness program Centr. 'Pick on someone your own size @zocobodypro,' he captioned the post. The pair exchanged some banter and laughs as they went at it in the ring, with Chris clearly in his happy place as he showed off his strength. It comes after Chris celebrated his birthday in Spain surrounded by a slew of big-named friends last week. The actor appeared to be having the time of his life as he enjoyed a lunch at celebrity hotspot Casa Jondal and a cruise on a luxury boat with a star-studded guest list, including brothers Liam and Luke Hemsworth, Matt Damon, pop sensation Rita Ora and her husband, director Taika Waititi, and Patrick and Pia Whitesell. But there was one very important person who was missing from the celebrations - his wife Elsa Pataky. She stayed on the other side of the world in Australia, and was last seen shopping for groceries at a local Coles supermarket in Byron Bay after returning home from her native Spain. The mother-of-three, 49, looked somewhat downcast while running her errands as she ferried a box of goods from the shops to her car and took what appeared to be a tense phone call. She was makeup-free for the short trip and dressed down in a jumper and baggy jeans. Although Elsa did not accompany her husband at the celebration, she did share a sweet birthday tribute to him on social media. Alongside a throwback photo of her embracing Chris, Elsa wrote some heartfelt words: 'Happy Birthday to my Rocky Balboa. You're the best of the best.' Chris and Elsa spent most of the European summer apart. Elsa was in her native Spain for weeks, filming her new TV series, Matices. Meanwhile, Chris was travelling, even attending the final day of Wimbledon without his wife . Chris also enjoyed a beachside escape in Hossegor, France, with his longtime personal trainer and best mate Luke, while Elsa enjoyed her own holiday in her native Spain. They later reunited in July for the Thor star's new National Geographic series, Limitless: Live Better Now, with twin sons, Tristan and Sasha, 11, and Chris' brother Liam Hemsworth in London. The couple tied the knot during the Christmas holidays in 2010. The Hemsworths have made Byron Bay their home in recent years, after relocating from Los Angeles to Australia nine years ago.
