'But above all else, I'm so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much xxxx.'
The football star, who was formerly appointed an officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2003, responded to the post by expressing his love for his family, mentioning each of his children and adding 'I love you all'.

'Off the pitch I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Britain around the world and work with incredible organisations that are supporting communities in need and inspiring the next generation.
'I'm so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I'm grateful to be recognised for work that gives me so much fulfilment.

Ioan Gruffudd announces he's expecting first child with his wife Bianca - two months after tying the knot
and his wife Bianca have announced they're expecting to welcome their first child together. The Fantastic Four actor, 51, and Aussie actress Bianca, 32, shared the exciting news to Instagram on Sunday morning. The couple posted a sweet black and white photo of Ioan kissing his wife's growing baby bump. 'Baby Gruffudd poppin' out to say hello!' the caption read. The post was inundated with well wishes from their friends and fans, with one person writing: 'Over the moon with excitement Mr & Mrs Gruffudd.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Wow!! The best news! What a lucky baby, with two caring thoughtful loving parents. Made my day!!!' another wrote. A third said: 'This is everything that everyone follows you guys hoped for! Wishing you love, happiness and the best wishes! You will have the most beautiful child.' In April, Ioan and Bianca took to their respective Instagrams to share a video of them tying the knot in a romantic ceremony, captioning their posts: 'Mr & Mrs Gruffudd. Marriage now, wedding later.' Set to Martin Arteta's track Past Lives, the video shows the pair saying their vows in front of an idyllic backdrop with a stunning sea view. The pair, who went public with their relationship in October 2021, looked happier than ever. Their happy moment comes following Ioan's messy split with Alice Evans. Ioan and Alice Evans formally divorced in July 2023. However, they are still battling fiercely over spousal support and custody and financial support for their two daughters Ella, 15, and Elsie, 11. At the September 9 court hearing, Judge Josh Freeman Stinn signed off on a stipulated agreement in which Ioan pays $3,000 a month temporary child support and $1,500 a month temporary spousal support until another February 13 hearing where a more permanent support arrangement was to be forged. Ioan planned to call his then fiancée Bianca as a witness at the February hearing to testify that his ex wife 'stalked, harassed and abused' her, repeatedly violating a three-year domestic violence restraining order (DVRO) which she and Ioan took out in August 2022, after enduring a 'smear campaign' of hateful text messages, emails and social media posts from her. Ioan claims that Alice 'engaged in a pattern of damaging and defamatory conduct against me, aimed at intimidating and harassing me and my fiancé, Bianca Wallace, while alienating our two young children from me.' Ioan – whose latest movie, Bad Boys: Ride or Die has grossed more than $403 million worldwide – has fought Evans' demands for more money, claiming he's paid some $400,000 more in spousal support that he needed to under their pre-marital agreement. In earlier court papers, he called her claims of poverty 'exaggerated' and said it's a 'false narrative' that she and the children have been left destitute. The former couple met on the set of the movie 102 Dalmatians more than 20 years ago. They fell in love in real life and were married in Mexico in 2007. Ioan filed for divorce in March 2021, shortly after Alice announced on social media that her husband of 14 years was walking out on her and their two daughters. Meanwhile, in February this year, Alice revealed she's being evicted from her LA home after being 'unable to pay her rent'. The actress wrote on Instagram that she and her daughters have 'no way of renting even the cheapest room in the city' after being beset by financial woes amid her bitter court battle with ex-husband Ioan. Sharing a sweet throwback snap with her two daughters, Alice shared that she is like many others in Los Angeles trying to find a new place to live after the city was devastated by fires in January. Alice was thought to be renting a home in California with her two children after her bitter divorce from Ioan. Earlier this month, she created her own Divorce fundraiser, setting up a GoFundMe which has so far raised $18,828, but admitted she was 'so embarrassed' to have to do so. But in a positive update recently shared on Instagram, Alice revealed that she, her daughters and her dog Emma now have a 'roof over their heads' and had retained their possessions after worrying she would lose them as she thanked fans for donating.

Ruben Amorim handed double transfer blow as top target rejects Man Utd move
Ruben Amorim is desperate to land some top quality signings to overhaul his struggling Manchester United squad and he has already taken the first step by landing Wolves forward Matheus Cunha Manchester United have a lot of work to do to return to the Premier League 's summit after their difficult first season under Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese coach could not arrest the team's alarming slide down the table as they ended up finishing 15th and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham - but now he is aiming to bounce back by securing a raft of top signings. United have already brought in forward Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62m and are hoping to snap up Brentford frontman Bryan Mbeumo too - despite being rivalled by Spurs. Amorim will also be hoping to shift a number of unwanted stars that will give him more room to manoeuvre in the transfer market amid the club's perilous financial situation. With that in mind, Mirror Football has taken a look through the biggest Manchester United transfer news and gossip. Gyokeres rejects United Without doubt the biggest news in the last 24 hours is a report from Portuguese outlet Record, which claims Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres has turned down the chance to move to Old Trafford. The Swedish forward has been one of United's top targets since Amorim became the club's new head coach - after previously working with Gyokeres at Lisbon. United have watched the player underline his ability and reputation as one of the world's best strikers after netting 53 goals in all competitions But after the Red Devils missed out on Champions League football, it was always going to be an uphill battle for the club to attract Gyokeres, especially with rivals Arsenal also in the mix for his signature. The report claims Gyokeres' agent has informed United he does not want to join them, with Arsenal now securing the upper hand. It has been previously reported that Sporting have rejected a £55m bid for Gyokeres, which is said to have triggered anger from the striker, who said: "There is a lot of talks at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right." Leverkusen pull out of Garnacho race Another blow for Amorim. The United head coach is eager to shift some of his deadwood - particularly Alejandro Garnacho after falling out with the player. But Sky in Germany are reporting that Bayer Leverkusen are now "unlikely" to make a bid for the Argentine due to the mounting "package of transfer fee and wages" being too high for the German club. United are said to have slapped a £70m price tag on the player despite his difficult season for United. He scored ten goals and assisted nine but only stated 23 games in the Premier League out of a possible 38 and was dropped by Amorim for a number of games. Leverkusen are looking to build after agreeing to let Florian Wirtz join Liverpool for around £116.5m but are unwilling to break the bank for Garnacho. A move to Leverkusen would see the winger reunite with former United boss Erik ten Hag, who has just taken over the Bundesliga side. Garnacho's future at United looks bleak after he was dropped by Amorim for the Europa League final, with the player speaking after the game to question the manager's decision and admitting the team's season was "s***". United set to welcome Leon One silver lining for United amid a string of set-backs. Some supporters might have forgotten they actually agreed a move for a young talent called Diego Leon from Paraguayan club Cerro Porteno for around £7m. Left-back Leon has previously earned comparisons to Wayne Rooney given his similar impact at a young age and buzzcut hairstyle. United paid an initial £3.3m with add-ons for the 18-year-old's services but allowed him to stay with the club until the summer. The club will now welcome Leon to their camp at the start of July and his arrival should provide a boost to Amorim as a hungry, young player who wants to add competition and push for a place. Last season he played 28 times for Porteno, scoring three goals, and will now link up with a number of young players United are attempting to develop, including Ayden Heaven, Chido-Obi and Sekou Kone. Brighton star risks wrath of fans by admitting his dream to sign for Liverpool
Liverpool have been very busy when it comes to the transfer market this summer and it appears another Premier League stars fancies a switch to Anfield in the near future Brighton star Igor Julio has revealed he fancies a move to Liverpool after urging a teammate to sign for the Reds. The Brazilian defender only signed for the Seagulls in 2023 from Italian side Fiorentina. Since then, he has gone on to make 49 appearances over two seasons. Despite his limited opportunities, the 27-year-old has claimed it would be his dream to become a Liverpool player in the near future, while also urging Brighton 's star striker Joao Pedro to pursue a similar switch to Anfield. 'Joao Pedro had already told Brighton some time ago that his desire was to leave, seek new things, take the next step,' Igor told Trivela. 'It seems it will be difficult and complicated for him to stay here. 'We have to be honest, the club already knows that. (I'm) very happy for him. He deserves it. He's been here in England for five years and hasn't played for a big team yet. It's his moment, his time, so he can make the best decision and be happy wherever he is. 'He always told me that he really wants to live in London, so I think he will prioritise what comes from there first. 'I told [Pedro] that he has to think about what he wants from his career. In my opinion, if I were going to a 'Big Six' team, I would go to a team that fights for the Premier League, plays in the Champions League and is always in a position to win. 'I would go to a Liverpool team and I think he would fit in perfectly at Liverpool. It's because I've always dreamed of playing for Liverpool and I would go there.' Igor, 27, still has two years left to run on his contract with Brighton following his £14m move from Fiorentina. The defender has been backed to have plenty of interest in his services heading into the second part of the summer transfer window. But it appears unlikely that Liverpool will be among the clubs tracking him. Arne Slot 's side are well stocked at centre-back, with Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Jarrel Quansah all capable of playing in the position. That situation could change should either of the latter two decide to move on over the coming months having been linked with moves away. But even then, Liverpool appear likely to have their own targets. Former Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen was linked with a move ahead of his £50m switch to Real Madrid. Goncalo Inacio has also been mentioned but as it stands, Liverpool are focusing their efforts on getting deals for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez over the line.
