Special OJEE on July 15-16 to fill vacant seats
BHUBANESWAR: A special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will be conducted for filling up vacant seats in BTech and other professional courses on July 15 and 16, informed the OJEE committee.
Committee chairman DP Satpathy said the process of registration and online application for the Special OJEE-2025 commenced from Friday and will continue till June 23.
Satpathy said the entrance test will be conducted for BTech, LE Tech (diploma), LE Tech (BSc), MBA, MCA and BPharm courses. Candidates who have appeared earlier in either of the exams are not required appear this time.
The results of special OJEE in BTech will be used to fill up the leftover seats in engineering colleges and technical institutes, after first phase counselling for BTech is completed on the basis of JEE Main ranking. Similarly, the ranks of the special OJEE in LE Tech (diploma), LE Tech (BSc), MBA, MCA and BPharm will be used for the seats that will fall vacant after admission to these courses based on the OJEE-2025.
Meanwhile, officials also clarified that candidates from outside the state are not eligible for admission in government colleges, but can enrol in private professional colleges and institutions.

Uttarakhand's Krishang Joshi secures AIR 3 in NEET UG 2025, says he aspired to be doctor since class 10
Mangaluru (Karnataka) [India] June 15 (ANI): The National Testing Agency declared the results of the NEET (UG) examination on Saturday. Krishang Joshi has secured All India Rank 3 in the NEET UG 2025 examination, entering the top ranks of one of India's toughest medical entrance tests. Krishang, originally from Uttarakhand, took the NEET UG exam from Maharashtra and brought pride to his family and state with this remarkable achievement. 'My father works as a deputy conservator at the New Mangaluru Port Association and my mother is a housewife,' he added. He shared that the ambition to become a doctor had taken root years ago. Krishang also admitted that he was surprised by the result. 'I did not expect a third rank. I was sure I would get a rank under 50...' Meanwhile, Indore's Utkarsh Awadhiya secured All India Rank 2 in NEET UG 2025. He advised NEET aspirants to stay away from social media. He says, 'I continued working hard and enjoyed the journey. It is not that this journey was very difficult for me. I enjoyed this journey at every step. I started the preparation in class 11. Our class timings were 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. I used to return to the hostel after that and study seriously for 2 to 3 hours.' He advised aspirants to avoid too much mobile use.'I lived in a hostel because the study environment created in a hostel cannot be created at home. My father is a branch manager in HDFC Bank. My mother is a housewife. I also have a younger brother. He will probably prepare for the JEE. I would like to tell children that if you want to prepare well for NEET, then do not use mobile too much. You should stay away from social media,' he added. The NEET (UG) examinations were held on May 4 across 548 cities in India and 14 international centres. More than 20.8 lakh students appeared for the NEET (UG) examination. Six students from Andhra Pradesh top in NEET UG-2025
VIJAYAWADA: Six students from Andhra Pradesh have figured in the top 100 list of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG-2025. Among them, Darbha Karthik Ram Kireeti has emerged as the State topper with an All India Rank (AIR) of 19, and a percentile score of 99.9991400. The National Testing Agency conducted NEET UG-2025 at 5,468 centres located in 552 Cities across the country, and 14 cities outside India on May 4. More than 22 lakh candidates appeared for the entrance test. Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan secured AIR 1, while Avika Aggarwal got AIR 5 and emerged as the female topper. According to official data of NTA, AP student Podavati Mohith Sriram secured AIR 56 with a percentile of 99.9974653, Desina Surya Charan from Visakhapatnam got AIR 59 with 99.9972390. Podilapu Avinash bagged AIR 64 scoring 99.9968316. Yerra Sameer Kumar of Visakhapatnam stood 70th with 99.9968316, while Tummuri Siva Manideep ranked 92nd with 99.9954737. No student from Andhra Pradesh secured top rank in any category, except Karumanchi Vikrant, who got ninth rank in SC category with 99.9878243 percentile. Kireeti hails from Rajamahendravaram. He completed his schooling from LKG to Class 8 in Trips International School, and from Class 8 to Intermediate at Tirumala Junior College.
