The Indian women's football team are in Group C alongisde Japan, Vietnam and Chinese Taipei for the 2026 AFC Women's Asia Cup.
The Indian women's football team have been grouped with Japan, Vietnam and Chinese Taipei at the AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia.
In the other two groups, hosts Australia have been clubbed with South Korea, Iran and Philippines, while defending champions China are in the same group as North Korea, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan.

Iran, who secured their second successive Finals appearance by defeating Jordan in the Qualifiers, aim for a knockout stage appearance after their debut ended with two defeats.
The Philippines, an emerging force on the continental stage, seek to match or improve on their 2022 semi-final finish.
DPR Korea, returning to the continental stage for the first time since 2010, are counting on their FIFA Women's World Cup U-17 and U-20 talents to drive their bid for a fourth title.
China PR, who overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat Korea Republic in the 2022 final, are vying for a record-extending 10th title.
Bangladesh, making their debut appearance in the Finals, aim to make a significant impact after an impressive showing in the Qualifiers.

What Is The Schedule For 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup?
Scheduled from March 1 to 21, 2026, the AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026 will be held in Sydney, Perth, and the Gold Coast, including stadiums that hosted the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023. This tournament marks its return to Australia for the first time since 2006.
India, runners-up in 1980 and 1983, will make their first tournament appearance since 2003. They achieved this through a historic qualification campaign, topping Group B by defeating Thailand, Iraq, Timor-Leste, and Mongolia earlier this month.
The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarter-finals. The four quarter-final winners will qualify for the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027. The losing quarter-finalists will compete in play-offs for the remaining two direct spots allocated to the AFC for the World Cup. The two play-off losers will have another chance to qualify for Brazil through the inter-confederation play-offs.
China PR, Korea Republic, and Japan qualified as the top three teams from the AFC Women's Asian Cup India 2022, while Australia secured their spot as hosts.
The remaining eight teams confirmed their places through the AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026 Qualifiers, held in eight centralised groups from June 23 to July 19. The teams that qualified are Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, DPR Korea, India, Islamic Republic of Iran, Philippines, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

'We're disappointed': Ben Stokes after England crumbled under pressure against India at The Oval
England had the victory in sight at The Oval but Indian bowlers delivered a clutch performance to snitch the victory from the grip of the hosts. He felt the fiercely-fought series was a 'fantastic' advert of Test cricket. 'But as a massive advocate of this format and Test cricket as a whole, this has certainly been one of those series that could hopefully keep off that narrative around Test cricket is dying. As an advocate of the game the series has been fantastic to be part of.' On the partnership between England second innings centurions Joe Root and Harry Brook which raised hopes of an England victory, Stokes said, 'Yeah 380 is obviously a very large total to try and chase down but as the game got deeper and deeper, the way that the wicket was playing completely changed from day one and day two. 'So we knew that if any of our lads were to get in it was going to give us a good chance. Harry got us into that position by playing a particular way, putting the Indian bowlers under the immense pressure to take them away from being able to consistently bowl the areas that they wanted to bowl. So, yeah, the dismissal and the way that he got out was a shot that we seen a lot of him do in that innings, which I'm sure was getting a lot of praise.' Tailender Chris Woakes came out to bat despite a fractured left arm, tied up and strapped, and Stokes termed it 'unbelievable'. 'It was never going to be a question for him to go out there. He was in a lot of discomfort running between the wickets there, but we've had Rishab up going out and back with a broken foot, Bash (Bashir) going out there bowling and batting fielding with a broken finger,' the skipper said. 'Then we go to Chris out there today trying and get his team over the line with the quite recently dislocated shoulder. That just goes back to how much energy and effort that's been put into the series by both teams. Everyone's left a lot out on the ground for their countries, the series, definitely.' Former Olympians hunt for next batch of stars at Agnel Ashram
Former great and Olympian Joaquim Carvalho trains young hockey players at Fr. Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna Panaji: Former Olympians Mervyn Fernandis and Joaquim Carvalho were on hand as Fr. Agnel Multipurpose High School and Agnel Ashram, Verna, ushered in a new beginning through the launch of the hockey training programme as part of the curriculum for students of Class II and Class III. The hockey programme witnessed nearly 90 students from Class II and III listen eagerly to the advice from the former Arjuna Award winners. Fernandis and Carvalho are among the legends of Indian hockey with the former winning gold at the Moscow Olympics and two silver medals at the Asian Games. Carvalho, part of the Indian team at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, won silver at the Delhi Asiad and later coached the national team. Fernandis was all praise for the priests at Agnel Ashram for this initiative that is expected to act as a blueprint for grassroots development of hockey, particularly in South Goa. He was in awe of the changing landscape of the institute in Verna that has seen the laying of a new hockey turf. 'The priests of this school have proved that it is not just about words, but deeds as well,' said Fernandis. 'Today, we not only have a top-class hockey facility here, but we also have our children training seriously with an eye on a hockey career in the future. The initiative is the brainchild of Fr. Agnelo Gomes, director of the Agnel Technical Education Complex. The program has been integrated into the school physical education curriculum, so that the students don't have to stay after school or return in the evening. Coach Anselm Gabriel will be overseeing the entire coaching programme. He will visit the school three times a week, with the sessions being worked out from 8.50am to 10.15am.
