#LiloAndStitch is the BIGGEST SURPRISE of the year and easily the BEST Disney live action remake yet. Dean Fleischer Camp crafts a joyous family adventure that captures the chaos and charm of the original. It's also OUT OF THIS WORLD HILARIOUS and HEARTWARMING with a star-making… pic.twitter.com/zA3i722bx1

#LiloandStitch is a cute reimagining that mostly captures the original's spirit through a modern-day lens. Lilo and Nani's relationship feels even more heartfelt. It's still raw, real, and central to the story's emotional core. Of course Stitch brings hilarious chaos. pic.twitter.com/lYh5POQ5As

#LiloandStitch was heartwarming & really gave the official film more depth to Lilo & Nani. Maia Kealoha is a STAR! The Stitch was so well made. I never imagined in 23 years they'd be able to merge animation w/ live action this well. It was magical. Very sweet.

Some supporting characters are underserved (though I like some new additions), but #LiloandStitch 2025 maintains the original's strong emotional core, with a greater focus on the bond (and tensions) between Lilo and Nani. It's got genuine heart in a way some Disney remakes lack. pic.twitter.com/Cg0LdGsjSp

#LiloandStitch is the best Disney live-action to date. Seeing Stitch in his live-action form on the big screen brings on a huge wave of nostalgia. Tons of laughter and heartwarming moments. The film hits similar beats to the original, as well added something new flavors. pic.twitter.com/llyEvFBNfM

Having lived in Hawaii, my childhood island nostalgia came flooding back ! This is by far one of Disney's best! From the music, Hawaiian culture homage and a fantabulous star turn from Newcomer Maia Kealoha #LiloandStitch will remind everyone why family is important and should… pic.twitter.com/g19CZGeHNR

Sutter Pediatric patients get a Disney surprise
( — Children and their families at Sutter Medical Center got a special surprise Tuesday, as they were treated to a tropical-themed party, a private screening of the hit new live-action 'Lilo and Stitch' movie and a visit from Stitch himself in full costume. 'Sometimes these events can really help them feel like they're not in the hospital,' explained Sara Anderson, pediatric manager of integrated therapies at Sutter Children's Center. 'We all remember going to Disneyland and we see a character, how special it is. But imagine being a child in the hospital and having a character come to you, and how that can just really lift your spirits. And we always focus on helping children be more comfortable while they're here. And this is just a natural way for them to have something to experience that really brings happiness.' The event was put together in partnership with Disney and Starlight Children's Foundation. Disney calls it a movie party in a box. Kids come away with souvenirs and memories to cherish. 'We wanted to bring the magic of 'Lilo and Stitch' to a children's hospital,' said Dvorah Waldman, director of corporate social responsibility for Disney.' It's incredible to see the joy on their faces and the happiness that it brings. And just a moment of happiness, a moment of joy in an otherwise really difficult experience for a lot of these kids and families.' 'It made me feel like I was in the movie just standing with him saying, 'Hi, my name is Grace and this is my friend Stitch,'' said nine-year-old patient, Grace, after meeting Stitch. 'Amazing, cool, awesome and ten out of ten.' 'It creates a very family environment for the hospital,' added Grace's mom, Jessica Stevenson. 'And with her having to stay here, it's a blessing that she gets to be part of this.' Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Disney Bringing Back Classic Series After Nearly 20 Years
Disney's unique catalogue of films and shows have become nostalgic for numerous generations. As such, it's no surprise that the studio tends to rejuvenate their countless IPs every so often. Now, after nearly 20 years, it looks like Disney is bringing back a classic series for a new premiere on the Disney Channel. With physical releases and streaming services including Disney's own Disney Plus, it's nice to know that the company still makes an event out of their Disney Channel television network. And, for this particular series which one aired regularly on the channel, it's nice to see it make a comeback. Of course, there's a perfectly good reason this series is being brought back after so long. Specifically, it's to tie in with a new release that's doing quite well in theaters at this moment in time. Disney definitely knows what they're doing in that regard. The aforementioned theatrical film is none other than Lilo & Stitch , with the Disney Channel series being Lilo & Stitch: The Series , the original animated show that follows the events of the first Lilo & Stitch movie. Now that the live-action adaptation has become a hit in theaters, the Disney Channel is once again airing Lilo & Stitch: The Series for the first time in nearly 20 years, a brilliant marketing move as Lilo & Stitch merch continues to fly off the shelves. As you can see in the schedule shared below via Instagram featuring the classic Disney Channel series and various other shows coming to the network: Lilo & Stitch is currently playing in theaters. In addition, fans will now be able to spend the summer enjoying Lilo & Stitch : The Series on the Disney Channel, where it will begin airing on June 26. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Lilo & Stitch news and any additional Disney updates as we have them. It's great to see this franchise once again having its moment in the spotlight, especially after having quite the hiatus in North America the last two decades.

Telemundo Kicks Off FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown With Expanded Coverage Plans
Telemundo is launching its "El Mundial Es Nuestro" (The World Cup is Ours) marketing campaign and ... More additional original programming as part of its countdown to one of the world's largest sporting events. Telemundo has kicked off its one-year countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026, announcing its extensive coverage plans for the tournament. The network is gearing up for the event, which will be held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11-July 19, 2026, by unveiling its coverage plans, a new marketing campaign, and the first-ever Día Nacional del Fútbol (National Day of Fútbol) in the U.S., to be observed yearly on June 11, honoring the sport and its connection to Latino culture. 'For us at Telemundo, today is about more than a countdown to FIFA World Cup 2026 - we're not just covering the tournament, we're preparing to host history, and the road we're paving to 2026 will prove it,' says Telemundo's EVP of Sports, Joaquín Duro. How do they plan to do that? Telemundo says it will broadcast all 104 matches live, with 92 on Telemundo and 12 on Universo. Every match will also stream live on Peacock and the Telemundo App. The network will also have an on-site presence at all 104 matches, with coverage originating from studios in Mexico City, Miami, and New York, as well as broadcast locations across all 16 host cities. "For the first time in more than 30 years, the World Cup will return to the United States, and as the exclusive Spanish-language media partner, we are not just hosting this tournament, we are hosting history," says Luis Fernández, Chairman of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. "We have an incredible year ahead, and it will be a privilege to bring this unprecedented event to millions of passionate fans across the country.' The U.S. previously hosted the World Cup in 1994. At that time, Univision held the U.S. Spanish-language broadcast rights. Telemundo acquired those rights in 2011 and has retained them since, scoring great ratings returns. Telemundo has also secured Spanish-language rights to Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers, further expanding its soccer programming and its Rumbo al Mundial franchise. This builds upon the network's existing portfolio, which includes exclusive rights to Argentina and Brazil's home 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and Team USA. Coverage of the Concacaf qualifiers will air in September, October and November 2025, with the live presentation of the FIFA World Cup 26 Draw in December 2025. To promote all of its coverage efforts, the network is launching its "El Mundial Es Nuestro" (The World Cup is Ours) marketing campaign and additional original programming, produced by its local television stations.
