Israeli Occupation Continues Escalation in the West Bank: Raids, Gunfire, and Systematic Attacks

West Bank – Saba: Israeli occupation forces and settler militias continued their wave of attacks across various areas of the West Bank on Friday evening, including direct raids, road closures, and physical and armed assaults on Palestinian civilians, amid widespread tension and clashes. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, heavily armed settlers—under the protection of Israeli forces—stormed the outskirts of the village of Duma, south of Nablus, and opened heavy gunfire, triggering confrontations with local residents amid a highly tense atmosphere. In eastern Tulkarm, occupation forces raided the neighborhoods of Oktaba and the town of Anabta. Troops stationed around the Oktaba roundabout disrupted traffic, stopped vehicles, and interrogated passengers. Gunfire was reported near the Al-Qaisi neighborhood and mosque in what appeared to be acts of intimidation, though no injuries or arrests were recorded. Military vehicles continued to roam the streets and neighborhoods of Anabta, coinciding with Israel's ongoing aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its two refugee camps—Tulkarm and Nur Shams—for the 187th consecutive day. The area remains under a severe siege, with permanent military reinforcements preventing residents from accessing their homes. Meanwhile, in Bethlehem, Israeli forces closed the eastern entrance of Al-Khader town—south of the city—near the tunnel checkpoint leading to Beit Jala, using a metal gate. Soldiers were also deployed throughout the area, severely disrupting the movement of civilians. These actions are part of Israel's ongoing strategy to tighten its grip on Palestinians and escalate provocations in cities and towns across the West Bank, amid ongoing international silence in the face of intensifying violations.
