Nectar, Bear and more — today's biggest memory foam mattress deals in the Memorial Day sales

Tom's Guide26-05-2025

A good memory foam bed delivers the 'aah' effect as you sink into the foams; if you've lost that feeling it might be time for a mattress upgrade. I've found big savings on all-foam beds to shop today, including $400 off the luxury Saatva Contour5 Mattress at Saatva.
The best memory foam mattresses are known for their body-hugging coziness and superb pressure relief — they're great for soothing aches and pains.
And in the Memorial Day mattress sales I've found a memory foam bed for every budget, all packed full of 'ahh'.
Want something with a bit more bounce? Our expert-tested best mattress guide features, foam, hybrid, and latex mattresses to browse today.
1. Saatva Contour5 Mattress: queen was $2,999 now $2,599 at SaatvaThe luxurious Saatva Contour5 Mattress comes in two firmness levels — we tested Medium for our Saatva Contour5 Mattress review — to suit a wide range of sleep styles, with a dense 5lb foam core ensuring exceptional pressure relief at every firmness. The (otherwise excellent) support does taper out a touch at the sides but that was our only complaint; the Contour5 is surprisingly breathable and the motion isolation is impressive. There's $400 off all sizes with our Saatva Memorial Day sales link, reducing a queen to $2,599 (was $2,999.) For an even bigger saving wait for the 15% off sale but do so with caution — we're expecting Saatva prices to rise due to mattress tariffs. I recommend shopping now for a sure-fire deal. The Contour5 comes with a full year's trial, forever warranty and free white glove delivery.

2. Nectar Premier Memory Foam Mattress: queen $949 at NectarThe Premier Memory Foam Mattress from Nectar delivers superb body-hugging comfort. It cushions the body in areas where you press against the mattress to prevent pressure build-up so you can lie on your side without numb arms and dead hips. Our Nectar Premier Memory Foam Mattress review team highly recommend it for couples as the motion isolation is five star — when your partner tosses and turns, you won't feel them move. It's not as luxurious as the Contour5 and with only one firmness available we don't recommend it for stomach sleepers. But at just $949 for a queen in the Nectar mattress sale it's great value and comes with a 365-night trial and lifetime warranty.
Our review: ★★★★½ User score: ★★★★½ (6,200+ reviews)
3. EGOHOME 12" Memory Foam Mattress: queen was $429.99 now $298.98 at AmazonThe best cheap mattresses keep you comfortable without breaking your budget and they're ideal for spare rooms and short-term use. The 12" all-foam mattress from EGOHOME promises a medium feel and while reviews indicate it's firmer than expected, we still predict this will be a crowd-pleaser of a guest bed... although it might take a few visitors to break in. For Memorial Day there's 30% off the queen EGOHOME 12" Memory Foam, knocking it down it $298.88 (was $429.99.) That's only $20 more than the lowest price we've seen and it comes with a 10-year warranty (but no sleep trial.)
User score: ★★★★½ (1,500+ reviews)
4. Bear Original Mattress: queen was $998 now $598.50 at BearIt's been a long time since I've seen 40% off at Bear and the deal is set to end soon, so act fast. In our Bear Original mattress review we described the bed as a "crowd pleasing memory foam mattress with a price tag to match" and while it lacks the marshmallow relief of the Contour5 or Nectar Premier, the support is top notch. We're used to seeing 35% off at Bear and it's been that way for much of Memorial Day — I predict this flash sale will be gone... in a flash. A queen is currently $598.50 (was $998) and comes with a 120-night trial, forever warranty and a free pillow set.

‘Ballerina' Box Office Projections Drop Ahead Of ‘Lilo & Stitch' Showdown

Ana de Armas in "From the World of John Wick: Ballerina." Lilo & Stitch is projected to top Ana de Armas' John Wick spinoff movie Ballerina in its opening weekend at the domestic box office after early forecasts suggested a different outcome for the action crime thriller. Rated R, Ballerina — formally titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina — stars Ana de Armas as a vengeful ballerina and trained assassin in a tale that runs parallel to some of the events in the 2019 blockbuster John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. Keanu Reeves and other John Wick franchise stars including Ian McShane, Angelica Huston and the late Lance Reddick appear in Ballerina in supporting roles. Lilo & Stitch, of course, dominated the box office over the recent four-day Memorial Day weekend holiday by earning $182.6 million from 4,410 North American theaters. The live-action remake of the 2002 Disney animated classic has earned $284.2 domestically and $334.4 million internationally for a worldwide box office tally of $618.6 million to date. In its projections for the June 6-8 box office on Wednesday, Variety is forecasting that Lilo & Stitch will earn somewhere between $30 million to $35 million in North American theaters this weekend, while Ballerina will run a close second with a take of $28 million to $30 million from 3,400 theaters domestically. Distributed by John Wick franchise studio Lionsgate, Ballerina, directed by Len Wiseman, had a production budget of $90 million before prints and advertising costs, Variety reported. Variety's projections are soft in comparison to early forecasts from the likes of Deadline and Box Office Pro. On May 15, Deadline projected that Ballerina would open in the vicinity of $35 million to $40 million in the film's opening frame, while Box Office Pro on May 16 projected a $35 million to $45 million opening for Ballerina in its weekend box office debut. On Wednesday, Box Office Pro's opening weekend projections for Ballerina dropped to a $32 million to $40 million opening frame. Writer-director Wes Anderson's latest offbeat comedy The Phoenician Scheme is expanding to a wider release this weekend following a limited release in theaters on May 30. The Phoenician Scheme, which held its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, opened in six theaters domestically and earned just over $603,000 in its debut. The film is also already playing in international markets, where it has earned $7.3 million to date. Variety projects that The Phoenician Scheme — which will open wide on Friday in 1,500 North American venues — will debut somewhere in the single digits but did not peg a specific number.

Former Biden press secretary says she's no longer a Democrat

Former Biden press secretary says she's no longer a Democrat In her upcoming book, Jean-Pierre shares 'why Americans must step beyond party lines to embrace life as Independents.' Show Caption Hide Caption Biden speaks in public for first time since cancer diagnosis Former president Joe Biden delivered his first public speech at a Memorial Day event in Delaware since his cancer diagnosis was announced. WASHINGTON – Karine Jean-Pierre, former White House press secretary for President Joe Biden, has left the Democratic Party to become an independent, she writes in a new book that will be released this fall. In her upcoming book "Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines," Jean-Pierre shares "why Americans must step beyond party lines to embrace life as Independents," publisher Hachette Book Group says in a summary of the book released June 4. "Jean-Pierre didn't come to her decision to be an Independent lightly," the teaser for the book adds. "She takes us through the three weeks that led to Biden's abandoning his bid for a second term and the betrayal by the Democratic Party that led to his decision." More: Joe Biden 'optimistic' about treatment plan for Stage 4 prostate cancer Jean-Pierre's "Independent" is set to be released Oct. 21. It will add to the growing list of books on the Biden presidency written by White House reporters, including the recently released "Original Sin" by Jake Tapper of CNN and Alex Thompson of Axios that explores Biden's decline and initial decision to run for president in 2024. Jean-Pierre, who replaced Jen Psaki as Biden's press secretary, held the position from May 2022 to the end of Biden's term in January 2025. She was the first Black woman and first openly LGBTQ+ person to hold the high-profile position. More: Bill Clinton defends Biden on health reports: 'I never saw him that way' A veteran of Democratic politics, Jean-Pierre worked as chief public affairs officer for and as an NBC and MSNBC political analyst before joining the White House. She was regional political director for the White House Office of Political Affairs during the Obama-Biden administration and deputy battleground states director for President Barack Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. In her book, Jean-Pierre "urges all Americans to vote their values and maintain individuality within party lines," according to the publisher's description, and "defines what it means to be part of the growing percentage of our fractured electorate that is Independent. "As a history maker, veteran public servant, political analyst and independent thinker, she urges Americans to think outside of the blue-and-red box as we consider what's next to save our democracy, the book summary says.
