Michigan State football center Matt Gulbin explains reason for transferring to MSU

It could be argued, and is probably true, that the biggest addition for Michigan State football this offseason was the addition of former Wake Forest offensive lineman Matt Gulbin. Gulbin was brought in to be the presumptive starting center, replacing Tanner Miller in that role, and on Thursday, he explained why he decided to come to MSU to finish his collegiate career.
I was talking to a bunch of schools and I talked to Coach M and Coach Smith, and my old coach at Wake Forest knew Coach Smith from some sort of coaching clinic or something and he raved about him and everything he said, you know, has run true. And you know, I think I built a good connection with Coach M. You know, I visualize that this is a guy I want to play for... And also just the history of Michigan State is awesome... I've always been an admirer of this program and this university, so, it's really an honor to be a Spartan and to play for this program.
