Del Solar birdied 10 of his first 16 holes to pass Olesen for the outright lead and threaten a score of 59. However, he failed to get up and down from the bunker at the PAR-4 17th hole and took his only bogey of the day. He missed a 15-foot putt for birdie for the outright lead at No 18.

Shane van Gisbergen has strengthened his reputation as NASCAR's road-course specialist, taking a commanding victory in the Go Bowling at The Glen and becoming the first rookie in history to win four consecutive races on road circuits. The New Zealander started toward the front and wasted little time taking control of the 90-lap event around the 3.4-km (2.45-mile) Watkins Glen International layout. By the chequered flag, he had led 38 laps, including the final 17, and crossed the line 11.116 seconds ahead of Christopher Bell. The result is redemption for van Gisbergen after his near-miss at the same venue in 2024, where a strategy call dropped him out of contention in the closing laps. It also comes in the same week Trackhouse Racing announced a multi-year contract extension for the Kiwi, securing his NASCAR future. 'Good to get that one back,' van Gisbergen said post-race. 'What an awesome race. The car was just amazing again… The day just went flawlessly, and I really enjoyed it.' Race story From the outset, the Glen's high-speed esses and heavy-braking chicanes suited van Gisbergen's road-racing background. Stage 1 went to Chris Buescher, who kept his playoff hopes alive with the extra points, while Bell edged ahead briefly in Stage 2 before SVG regained control. A caution-free final segment allowed van Gisbergen to exploit clean air and metronomic pace. With pit strategy aligned to perfection, he steadily built a gap to Bell, who could do little but consolidate second. Behind them, Buescher's third-place finish moved him just above the playoff cutline, while William Byron came home fourth to extend his regular-season points lead over Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott. Elliott endured his first finish outside the top 20 this season, coming home 26th after mid-race contact and a spin. Chase Briscoe took fifth ahead of Ryan Blaney, with Daniel Suárez, Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, and Ross Chastain rounding out the top ten. The victory ties van Gisbergen with Denny Hamlin for the most wins this season and cements his spot as a top playoff seed heading into the final races before the post-season opener at Darlington. It secures an automatic place in the quarterfinals and a four-day break to recharge. Flynn Cameron powered the Tall Blacks with 28 points — a record for a New Zealander at the Asia Cup — as well as nine rebounds and eight assists. Mojave King continued his solid form with 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and Taylor Britt added 14 points. It was just 19-18 at the end of the first quarter but the Tall Blacks clicked into gear and led 49-35 at halftime and 84-59 at the three-quarter mark. The Tall Blacks shot 54.7% from the field (41/75) and 44.1% from deep (15/34), and destroyed Chinese Taipei on the glass, claiming a 61-22 rebound advantage. They claimed a staggering 19 offensive rebounds, five to King alone. The Hinton brothers, Robert and Adam, led Chinese Taipei with a combined 40 points and six triples. — The New Zealand Breakers have completed their roster by signing 2.08m American forward Rob Baker as the team's final import player. Baker has played professionally in the Slovak Basketball League, Japan's B League, and the NBA G League. He most recently played for German EuroLeague Club ALBA Berlin, and made the Indiana Pacers roster for the 2025 NBA Summer League, where he scored 26 points and had 10 rebounds in a game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Breakers president Dillon Boucher said Baker, who went to Harvard University, was a versatile forward who would bring a strong presence to the team. "His experience and talent will be a huge asset to our squad," Boucher said. "His recent performances have shown he is a dynamic player, and we believe he will be an excellent fit for our team culture." Baker joins fellow imports Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Izaiah Brockington.
