Championship leaders Leeds United could secure promotion back to the Premier League over the Easter weekend.Manager Daniel Farke has been speaking today, here are the main points from his pre-match media conference:Winger Dan James could be involved for Friday's trip to Oxford United following injury but will be assessed over the next 24 hours. It will be a late decision. He will probably be available for the visit of Stoke City on Monday.Midfielder Joe Rothwell will not be available for either of the fixtures this weekend.Farke admits to some difficulty caused by a long away trip on Friday night followed by a home game on Monday. He says his nomination for manager of the season is a sign of everyone at the club doing well.On keeping calm as the manager, he feels it is important to stay calm, but also have the fire at times when needed. However, he says having the fire at both ends of the candle is not helpful as a manager. On the mood in the camp after last weekend's results, he says no-one was over the moon, nothing is won yet, they can't afford to lose focus by even one or two per cent.Farke says he is delighted for Karl Darlow following some strong performances since replacing Illan Meslier. He never doubted he could rely on the Wales international. On Oxford, Farke has been impressed by their recent results, including clean sheets in wins against Sheffield United and Watford at home and away at Sheffield Wednesday.Listen to West Yorkshire Sport Daily, weeknights at 18:00, and subscribe to BBC Radio Leeds' Don't Go To Bed Just Yet podcast on BBC Sounds

Man City hold more transfer talks for £55m midfielder to replace Kevin De Bruyne

Pep Guardiola is set to revamp his Manchester City midfield this summer as club targets return to the top having ended a season without any silverware for the first time in eight years Manchester City will hold fresh talks with AC Milan over a £55m move for midfielder Tijjani Reijnders as Pep Guardiola looks to refresh his squad ahead of a renewed assault on all fronts next season. Netherlands international Reijnders has become one of Serie A's highest-rated midfield players and City are keen to seal a deal early in the window, while the club retain a firm interest in Rayan Cherki, who is eager to move from Lyon. ‌ Kevin De Bruyne is unhappily leaving City and is fancied to join Napoli, while the futures of experienced figures Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva are unclear with Guardiola expected to revamp his midfield. ‌ Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak last week said City would come back stronger next season having finished 13 points behind champions Liverpool. It was the first campaign in eight that City did not win a single piece of silverware, while the club's legal battle with the Premier League rumbles on in the background. And Al Mubarak said: "We will be back. This season is a season that's now behind us. Today is a new day. We start working and preparing for next season. And by the way, we've been doing that since January. "And we will take all the good things and the not so good things from this season, and learn from it, improve from it and get better. ‌ "I can assure you, this club will do everything possible to come back to the standards that we know we all can achieve - and that we know we will achieve. "Because really, if there's one thing I'd like right now, it's to turn that page from last season and just immediately start focusing on next season. All the players, they're excited about coming back. Nobody feels good about how we finished the season. "They want to come back, and they want to come back hungry. And I can see the hunger. Normally these players are off and they're starting to think about vacation time etc. Honestly, every player I spoke to was telling me, 'we're coming back'. "That's the attitude you want - and that's exactly why you see me so positive. We're going to come back strong, with a lot of positivity."

Revealed: When Ange Postecoglou will 'learn his fate' over Tottenham sack - with Spurs boss 'at extreme risk' despite Europa League final triumph

Ange Postecoglou will reportedly find out his Tottenham fate next week and is at 'extreme risk' of being sacked. Postecoglou won the Europa League to give Spurs their first silverware in 17 years but delivered their worst-ever Premier League finish of 17th. Daniel Levy has taken his time to mull over the decision, with emotions a little cooler now 10 days on from their 1-0 win over Manchester United in Bilbao. There are still two years remaining on Postecoglou's contract and in a hearty speech at their trophy parade, he told the crowd: '(in) all the best television series, season three is better than season two.' Levy is expected to announce his decision in the coming days, according to The Telegraph. He has been out of the country for a few days while the man he has left in limbo has been on holiday. Daniel Levy has been taking his time to make up his mind on his trophy-winning boss' future There are major condemnatory and mitigating factors for Postecoglou. The fact that his squad was so ravaged by injuries this season has not helped. Tottenham suffered a total of 41 injuries and lost players to the treatment table for a total of 1,553 days. Only Brighton topped them in either metric. But they also lost a horrific 22 games - more than any other team who has survived relegated in a 38-game season in Premier League history. There is also a fear that Postecoglou's gung-ho style and approach to training is behind Tottenham's crocked squad. The club reportedly launch a review of their medical department in December before advertising for a men's medical department chief in January. After creating history in Bilbao, Postecoglou insisted he wants to stay, saying: 'I've had such a laser focus on winning this. Whatever happens, happens. We are still building this team, it is still very young, we need to add experience. 'My thought process has been trying to build a team that can be successful for a long time, but I am manager, it is not in my hands but it doesn't affect me, if it did you would have seen it. 'I want to stay, I haven't completed a job yet, but the moment I accepted the role I had one thing in my head and that was to win something, I want to build on it.' Various faces from the midriff of the Premier League - namely Thomas Frank, Oliver Glasner, Andoni Iraola, and Marco Silva - have been touted as potential options to replace him. Like Postecoglou before he arrived, none of them have experience of leading a 'Big Six' club and only Glasner has experience of a European campaign, having won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2022.
