Govt ensuring uninterruptedfertilizer availability to farmers
The authorities are reviewing the distribution of urea, phosphate, and gypsum as per the requirement at frequent intervals.
Acting Joint Director (Agriculture, Prayagraj Division), Shipra says, "A target of supplying 71,000 metric tonnes of urea has been set in the division in the Kharif season, against which 56,743 MT of urea is available. However, 79.92 percent availability is up to July 25 compared to the total target.
The availability of urea at the sales centres is 44,615 MT during this period. The status of distribution reached 31,868 MT before the end of July.
Even after distribution, the remaining stock of urea in the sales centres is 12,747 MT."
The availability of phosphatic fertilizers is better than urea in the division. Acting joint director said, "A target of 24,721 metric tonnes of phosphatic supply was set in the division, against which 25,504 MT of phosphatic fertilizer is available.

The status of distribution reached 17,294 MT before the end of July. Even after distribution, their remaining stock in the sales centres is 4,068 MT. Similarly, 2,418.90 MT of gypsum was allotted for the division, out of which 1,824.70 MT was supplied and 1,065.65 MT was distributed to the farmers.
Officials claimed that 509 cooperative societies have been engaged in the division for this work. Daily review of the availability of fertilisers is also being done. There are instructions to take strict action on any kind of black marketing or over-rating. Payment is being done through QR code to ensure transparency. A zero-tolerance policy is being adopted against hoarders.

UP to select farmers for agri equipment on subsidy through e-lottery system
1 2 Lucknow: The state govt will initiate the process of giving agricultural equipment to farmers on subsidy through e-lottery system on Thursday and Friday. Agriculture department will select the farmers through committees formed under the chairmanship of the district magistrate in all 75 districts. A state govt spokesperson said that the booking of agricultural equipment under the Promotion of Agricultural Mechanization for In-Situ Management of Crop Residue and Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization Scheme and booking of Mini Oil Mill Extraction Unit and Tarpaulin under National Mission on Edible (Oilseed) Scheme has been done by the farmers on the departmental portal. The details of the members of the DLSC (District Level Coordination Committee), a committee constituted under the chairmanship of the district magistrate for e-lottery, will initiate the process. The PDF file of the office memorandum of the committee will also be uploaded on the departmental portal. The agriculture department has issued instructions that such a place should be selected for the process of e-lottery, where the maximum number of farmers can participate. "This process will be done with transparency. For this, arrangements will be made by installing big screens," the spokesperson said. Farmers who are not selected will get their security amount returned within six months. The spokesperson said that SMS should be sent on mobile to the farmers selected in the e-lottery. Along with the information of the last date of uploading information and bills, the farmers selected in the waiting list will also be informed.
