Brie Larson to release party-themed cookbook, Entertainment News
Brie Larson is set to release a party-themed cookbook.
The 35-year-old actress has joined forces with best friend and chef Courtney McBroom to create Party People, their new cookbook that they'll release later this year.
The Hollywood star told People: "Through [our friendship], we've thrown many parties together. We have a really solid group of girlfriends, and whether it's been road trips or at someone's house, parties, whatever, we're really good at celebrating. And part of it is because we love doing it.
"It's not just about the food. It's about knowing how to cook things confidently so that you can enjoy your party… the recipes are based off of those things so you can maximise time with your guests and not feel like you're the one stuck in the kitchen while everybody else is having fun."
Party People will feature more than 100 recipes and party ideas — but Courtney insists it isn't a conventional cookbook.
She said: "It doesn't have to be hard. You don't have to do a ton of work to bring all of your friends together and your loved ones and to surround yourself with community. And that was one of the main things we wanted to do, is make sure we were helping people do that."
Meanwhile, Brie previously revealed that she hopes her work helps people to "feel less alone".
She also explained that she's felt freer to express herself over recent years.
Brie told The Talks: "As I have gotten older and I have had the courage to speak out, I realised that the things that are inside of me, the things I am most afraid of, everyone is and I feel a sense of inner freedom by expressing it.
"By relating to people like yourself, you can go, 'Yeah. You are also crazy. I felt that, too.' What I am looking for in this world is a sense of not feeling alone, and that's one of the greatest gifts you can give to another person. I hope that my work does that. I hope that when people leave the theatre they feel less alone."

Actress Dakota Johnson, Coldplay's Chris Martin break up after almost eight years
Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin got together in 2017, making their first public appearance in 2018, and were later reportedly engaged. PHOTOS: REUTERS, AFP Actress Dakota Johnson, Coldplay's Chris Martin break up after almost eight years American actress Dakota Johnson, 35, and English singer-songwriter Chris Martin, 48, have split, according to American magazine People. They got together in 2017, making their first public appearance in 2018, and were later reportedly engaged. In August 2024, Johnson refuted break-up rumours, assuring sources that they were 'happily together'. But one source told People: 'It feels final this time.' A few weeks ago, they were seen walking together in Malibu, where they share a home. They were also pictured together taking a stroll in a park in Mumbai, India, back in January, when Coldplay performed, as part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour, at D.Y. Patil Stadium. During their time together, The Madame Web (2024) star developed strong ties with the British band frontman's children – Apple Martin and Moses Martin – from his previous relationship with American actress Gwyneth Paltrow. In a 2024 interview, Johnson had said: 'I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.' They even went on vacations together. The Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) star was seen on June 4 exiting The Greenwich Hotel in New York City, without her engagement ring. James Blunt insists being 1-hit wonder is 'healthy' for his ego, Entertainment News
James Blunt insists being a "one-hit wonder" is "healthy" for his ego. The You're Beautiful hitmaker became an overnight star following the release of the 2005 single from his debut album Back To Bedlam, and the 51-year-old pop veteran admits he is "happy" to be called a "one-hit wonder" as it means he doesn't get too big for his boots. He told US publication People: "In the States, I am [a one-hit wonder]. You have to understand — I am so happy with that because, as I put on my social media profiles, one hit is all you need. "I've been called a one-hit wonder by people who are none-hit wonders. And so I'm thrilled with that." James continued: "The moment I think I might be a big shot in any way, you, as an American, can tell me, 'No. You're just a little one-hit wonder, James. Get back in your box.' And that's healthy." He also recalled how he was rejected by all the UK record labels because of his posh speaking voice and classism in his homeland. On being signed to Linda Perry's Custard Records, he said: "I hadn't really understood how this was the very last chance I was probably ever going to have. "I'd been rejected by every UK label based on my speaking voice and the kind of class issues that we have here, and the basis that they would think that just no one would relate to me. They might've been right to a degree. "It's taken a long time after You're Beautiful and the backlash for the public to know that, 'Okay. I might speak with a stupid voice, but I am a normal, grounded human being.' So maybe the UK labels were right. [But] for some reason Linda was there. She came in with a hard sell, and we went out that night and got drunk." Although the song was a huge hit, he did face — and continues to face — his fair share of criticism and is known to hilariously retaliate on social media. He said: "I think I've always been silly. "I think I probably did set out in interviews when we were talking about music because it was the one thing I was serious about. "I probably then spoke quite earnestly in my interviews about the music, and now I've learned that that's probably not the best thing to do. So now, I still take my music seriously. I don't speak earnestly about it." [[nid:718717]]

Ayumi Hamasaki denies Elon Musk fathered her child
One of their guesses? Ayumi Hamasaki, who has yet to reveal the father (or fathers) of her two children. In a series of Instagram Stories yesterday (June 2), however, the 46-year-old shut down the rumours. "My child's father is not Elon Musk," the J-pop queen wrote, before remarking how she understands why people may think it's her. "My mother laughed at me and said, 'The news seems like it's about Ayu-chan,'" she said, adding that she would have thought the same had she been someone else. "I'll put my image aside and I'll deny this properly because it would be no good if my child were to Google it someday," she said. In another Story, she said she's receiving a "storm" of amused messages reacting to her statement. Elon, 53, had allegedly told his ex-girlfriend Ashley St Clair that he is the father of a child with an unnamed J-pop star and that he would give his sperm to anyone to have a baby, reported The New York Times. Both did not respond to People when they reached out for comment. The businessman has 14 children, including a son with St Clair, an author. Ayumi will be performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on July 5. [[nid:718636]]
