Who will attend Hulk Hogan's final memorial? Family, friends, and wrestling icons expected

Professional wrestling world is getting ready for a personal goodbye to one of its most recognisable faces Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea died on July 24, 2025, at age 71 of cardiac arrest related to chronic lymphocytic leukemia and will be remembered at a privately held memorial service on Tuesday, August 5 in the Tampa–Clearwater, Florida area. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The event, which has been organized by Hogan's family, will be a final send-off for friends and family at varying degrees of separation from the late wrestling icon. Sky Daily and Brooke Hogan's strained bond takes the spotlight Hulk Hogan's immediate family will be in attendance, including his wife, Sky Daily, his daughter, Brooke Hogan, and Nick Hogan. Brooke herself has not been seen, perhaps due to some reported tension over her father's personal life and remarriage. Nick, however, has stayed largely in the public eye in his father's tributes, and will probably attend the service with his wife Tana Lea. Some notable WWE stars, some of Hulk Hogan's closest personal friends, are expected to attend the private ceremony at Clearwater. Among the legends who have offered their condolences and tales regarding Hogan as a pioneer and difference maker in the world of pro wrestling are Vince McMahon, Ric Flair, The Undertaker, Kane, Triple H, and a few more. What does Hulk Hogan's memorial service mean to the wrestling community? The memorial service, unlike a huge public gathering, is a deliberately small, intimate one, a place for those closest to Hogan to mourn and to reminisce. Emotional tributes, tales of Hogan's legacy in the sport of boxing, and prayers for the repose of his soul will likely mark the occasion. While the service has been private, fans have been paying tribute around the world. This weekend, footage of his son Nick fighting back tears went viral, while Monday Night Raw and SummerSlam recently paid tribute to his larger-than-life persona and entrance music. The aftershocks of Hulkamania were felt beyond the future of pro-wrestling, penetrating pop culture itself.

John Cena questions Brock Lesnar's motives following shocking WWE return

In a shocking turn of events for fans around the world, Brock Lesnar returned unexpectedly at WWE SummerSlam 2025. His appearance was right after the main event, as was speaking to the fans, which many are calling his last SummerSlam ever. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Lesner walked to the ring without saying a thing, looked Cena in the eye, and left just as quickly as he had come, leaving the WWE Universe and Cena himself wondering what happened out of nowhere. Seemingly after finishing one of the most covered farewell tours in recent memory, John Cena didn't take the moment sitting down and just say goodbye. While they didn't exactly lay hands on each other, it wasn't the friendly rapport that fans had hoped for between two legends. Meanwhile, in a post-show press conference, Cena "responded" to the incident, taking a bit of a shot at Lesnar's habit of returning only when it benefits him and that he may not be simply entertaining the fans with his return this time around. A dozen appearances left before John Cena calls it a career 3x World Heavyweight Championship winner John Cena's retirement from the ring isn't until December 2025, so for now, he is focused on providing a few highlights for the fans watching at home. Many believed SummerSlam 2025 was the final match Cena would ever wrestle, so Lesnar's coming back was also a huge symbolic blow. In a reflective moment during his interview, Cena shared: 'I've been saying the same thing for 25 years. They deal 'em, I play 'em. You know, I'm just really excited. We got like 12 of these things left. I think SummerSlam was an indication from the audience where everybody kind of knows where we're closing our book. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now And just because I close my book in December, that doesn't mean the WWE closes its books. They got to continue their programming going forward. So they're just trying to make the most exciting shows for the fans. A dozen of them I got left. They deal 'em, I play 'em.' What's next: A retirement match or something bigger? Now that John Cena and Brock Lesnar are front-and-centre once again, there's speculation that WWE is working towards a huge retirement match, possibly as soon as Survivor Series or Crown Jewel. While no one knows what Lesnar is up to, the fact that he is there seems to indicate something big is in the works. Also Read: We are in the Spring season of WWE that leads into SummerSlam, and whether this is a final clash of titans or a passing of the torch, there's sure to be fireworks in the weeks to come. We can be certain that Brock Lesnar will never return without a reason.

After being away since SummerSlam 2023, he surprised everyone by attacking John Cena, just minutes after Cena lost the Undisputed WWE Title to Cody Rhodes. UFC legends Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen spoke about Lesnar's comeback on Cormier's Mightycast podcast, noting how Lesnar's new long‑haired look and his sheer presence still make him a top star. They said it felt like Lesnar could still lead the WWE show. UFC legend Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen on Brock Lesnar's return Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen began their discussion by recalling Lesnar's entrance at SummerSlam Night Two. Daniel Cormier added that Lesnar 'looked tremendous' and still seems like someone who 'could run the WWE.' His tone made it clear: even after two years away, Lesnar's presence feels dominant and very much in control. Brock Lesnar's comeback context and legal background Brock Lesnar had not appeared on WWE since he lost to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. WWE pulled him from shows, including Royal Rumble 2024, after Brock's name surfaced in the Janel Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon.
