Changes to our coverage of Swindon for the coming season
Following a request by the club, we will no longer be providing live updates of pre-match press conferences with Ian Holloway and the playing squad.

We were informed earlier this week that Swindon had decided that they did not want press conferences to be live blogged, as they believe it can misrepresent what is being said, and as a result, we will no longer be able to concurrently report the pre-match messages of Holloway and the players.
This will not stop our reporting from the press conferences, and we will instead look to put the information out afterwards, where we can provide the exact wording of what has been said to ensure that there are no simplifications within the transcript, so that a complete picture can be provided.
Whilst the old live blogs were an accurate representation of what has been said, this will enable us to take time to provide every single detail.
There will also be no further changes to other coverage of matches and news, with every kick and word covered next season, through our regular matchday live blogs, match reports, and reaction.

As ever, we endeavour to provide the most comprehensive and in-depth coverage of Swindon as they look to earn promotion to League One to give fellow supporters the best possible way of staying up to date with the happenings on and off the pitch at the Nigel Eady County Ground.

Chelsea set to sign English winger Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund
LONDON (AP) — Chelsea is expected to sign English winger Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, the German club said Thursday. Gittens follows in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho, another former Manchester City youth player who developed his game at Dortmund. Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea from Manchester United. Dortmund said that 'all parties involved agreed in principle' in Florida and contract details were being finalized. Both teams are in the United States and are into the quarterfinals at the Club World Cup. 'The negotiations with Chelsea were challenging, but in the end, we are glad that we can most likely realize our expectations and gain planning security,' Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl said in the team's statement. Gittens joined Dortmund in 2020 shortly after his 16th birthday and scored 12 times in all competitions last season, but was often dropped to the bench after coach Niko Kovac took over in February. Known as Jamie Bynoe-Gittens when he made his Dortmund debut in 2022, the winger announced last year he wanted to be known simply as Jamie Gittens. He said he was following the example of his father, who also uses part of his full surname.
