A total of 16,300 students registered for the senior secondary compartment examination which included 10,072 boys and 6,228 girls. Among all the examinees, 11,719 students passed the exam, and 4,422 have been put in the compartment class. Among boys, 7,206 passed and 2,774 were compartmentalised, taking the pass percentage to 71.90 per cent. Government schools achieved an overall pass percentage of 84.67 per cent, which is slightly lower than the 86.98 per cent recorded by private schools.
