The BBC has retained many familiar faces for this year's Wimbledon punditry line-up, though a few notable names are absent. With the season's only grass-court Grand Slam tournament just days away, fans are keenly anticipating a thrilling contest under the south-west London sun.
For those unable to attend SW19, the BBC promises comprehensive coverage, delivered by a seasoned team of presenters and a distinguished panel of tennis experts. Clare Balding will spearhead the presenting team, overseeing the afternoon coverage following Isa Guha's morning stint and before Qasa Aslom takes the reins for Today at Wimbledon in the evening.

All England Club veterans John McEnroe, Tim Henman, Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Pat Cash, Tracy Austin and Annabel Croft are slated to join Balding and Guha in the studio, offering their insights on the unfolding action.

A host of recognisable voices will be heard in the commentary box, including Andrew Castle, Andrew Cotter, Jo Durie, Anne Keothavong, Nick Mullins and Todd Woodbridge, among others.
Furthermore, the BBC has enlisted an array of tennis legends to enhance their radio coverage, with Marion Bartoli, Kim Clijsters, Laura Robson, Greg Rusedski, Naomi Broady, Daniela Hantuchova and Leon Smith all making the cut, reports the Express.
Notably, some prominent figures are missing from the BBC's Wimbledon lineup.

Johanna Konta, formerly ranked No. 4 in the world and a British competitor who contributed to last year's studio coverage, is absent from the list.
Australian tennis star Ash Barty, who clinched the Wimbledon title in 2021 before retiring in 2022, participated in the BBC's coverage last year but won't be returning this summer, having recently announced the arrival of her second child.

Additionally, Nick Kyrgios, a contentious figure, is not included in the lineup.
His involvement as a BBC pundit and commentator in the previous year sparked criticism from then Women and Equalities select committee chair Caroline Nokes, who expressed that the BBC should be ashamed for collaborating with Kyrgios following his admission to assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
Responding to his exclusion, Kyrgios shared his thoughts with The Guardian, saying: "I know I'm a great commentator. All I've done for 20 years is play, study and breathe this sport.

"I also think tennis needs commentators who say things that not everyone says. It's unfortunate but it's probably their loss more than mine."

BBC Sport in chaos as ‘direct' new boss hit with FOUR HR complaints over leadership style – & he ‘lacks sport knowledge'

THE BBC's new head of sport has had staff heading to HR four times in three months — with concerns about his combative style. Mark Hughes also stands accused of a 'slight lacking in sports knowledge'. 2 He joined in March from the Daily Telegraph where he was head of news. The HR concerns come after claims emerged of toxicity and bullying at BBC's Breakfast show. A source said: 'Mark is an excellent journalist and liked by many. 'He doesn't suffer fools gladly and is pretty combative. 'He wants the best from his staff but a few have found that intimidating and flagged concerns. 'HR are aware and parties have been spoken to but there have been no formal complaints. 'While Mark's footballing knowledge is great, staff have been questioning his understanding of other sports. 'There have been a few gaffes including how to handle Danny Care's club rugby retirement a year after he stepped down from internationals, and thinking the British and Irish Lions played home and away.' Another insider said: 'Mark is making a real difference to the stories BBC Sport are breaking.' BBC said: 'We have robust processes in place to deal with any workplace-related concerns.'

I received some pretty bad news – Emma Raducanu emotional after Eastbourne win

Amid blustery conditions, the British number one, who missed last week's Berlin Open as she managed a back problem, resumed her Wimbledon preparations with a 6-7 (5) 6-3 6-1 success. Raducanu has been struggling with the issue since competing in Strasbourg before the French Open and took an off-court medical timeout during her quarter-final loss at Queen's Club earlier this month. But, aside from a slip and fall on the grass in set one, she came through her opening examination at Devonshire Park unscathed. The 2021 US Open champion produced an emotional response after sealing progression in two hours and 18 minutes with a fine backhand winner. Asked about her reaction, Raducanu, 22, replied: 'I received some pretty bad news, so I would like to keep it personal, if that's OK? 'But it was difficult, very emotional at the end and probably just a release of different emotions.' Raducanu's coach Mark Petchey and her Billie Jean King Cup team-mate Fran Jones were courtside for the match. Victory over world number 64 Li sets up a second-round clash with 19-year-old Australian Maya Joint, who knocked out two-time Wimbledon runner-up Ons Jabeur on Monday. 'It was a physically demanding match,' said seventh seed Raducanu. 'It was pretty difficult and in the wind you are constantly trying to adjust. We had some long rallies, I was running a lot. 'I feel OK, a little bit of fatigue, a bit of stiffness, but I need to just see how I feel tomorrow.' Earlier, Harriet Dart blew two match points on serve as she slipped to an agonising defeat to reigning Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova. Harriet Dart is beaten in a tight battle with the Wimbledon champion#BackTheBrits 🇬🇧 | #LexusEastbourneOpen — LTA (@the_LTA) June 24, 2025 Following two suspensions of play in the opening set due to wet weather, the British number four moved to the brink of one of the greatest wins of her career. But Krejcikova, who defeated Jasmine Paolini in last year's Wimbledon final, survived a first-round shock by hitting back to progress 6-3 6-7 (4) 7-5 in two hours and 40 minutes. The second seed will face another Briton in round two following Jodie Burrage's 6-3 6-2 win over Japan's Moyuka Uchijima. Dart did little to hide her frustration at failing to capitalise on the pair of match-clinching opportunities against the 2021 French Open champion, letting out a piercing scream as the following game slipped away. 'Some crazy, crazy conditions today,' said the 28-year-old. 'I was pretty close. I missed a ball on match point and then she played a really good other point on my other match point and then she becomes a bit freer. It was a tough match overall. 'My level was 10 times better than I've played the last two weeks. For me that's more important, especially going to Wimbledon. 'Of course, I'd like to have won today. But I was also playing a very experienced, multiple grand slam winner.' British number three Sonay Kartal lost 6-3 7-6 (2) to 2021 Eastbourne champion Jelena Ostapenko, while 17-year-old compatriot Mimi Xu was defeated 6-3 6-4 by American world number 35 Peyton Stearns. In the first round of the men's draw, Billy Harris won the battle of the Britons by upsetting Cameron Norrie 6-4 6-4. British number two Jacob Fearnley knocked out fifth-seeded Italian Flavio Cobolli, winning 6-2 6-2. British qualifier George Loffhagen lost 7-6 (6) 3-6 7-6 (1) to American Reilly Opelka, while Ilkley Open runner-up Jack Pinnington Jones went down 4-6 6-3 6-3 to Portuguese eighth seed Nuno Borges.
