Did 'Joslin Smith' speak to psychic after mom's guilty verdict? [video]
US paranormal justice expert Kandis Starr believes she has spoken to the spirit of Joslin Smith following the verdict delivered to the missing girl's mother, Kelly Smith, last week.
According to the medium, the little girl – she believes has since passed – has accused her mother of 'lying' about her version of events.
The Saldanha Bay woman is accused of being the 'mastermind' behind her daughter's disappearance. Kelly, and her co-accused, boyfriend Jacquin Appollis and pal Steveno van Rhyn, have been found guilty of kidnapping and child trafficking.
In a spirit box session – a paranormal justice tool used to 'communicate' with the dead using via electronic voice phenomena (EVP) – Kandis Starr claims to have contacted the spirit of Joslin Smith.
When asked how she felt about Kelly Smith's verdict, a voice said: 'She didnt tell [the court] – why?
'She's awful. I can't believe her'.
The spirit claims that the girl 'died' in her 'home'. It also claimed that the 'body' is located in a 'sewer', or 'landmine'.
Speaking during the video, Kandis Starr – who has taken a key interest in the disappearance of Joslin Smith – expressed her frustration with Kelly Smith's version of events.
She said, 'I'm not happy about the verdict of the trial. I feel like they got off easy with this fabricated story'.
Of little Joslin, she added: 'I adopted her spirit, that's my baby, and I'm her mom now'

Missing Comrades Marathon runner: NEW info comes to light
The Comrades Marathon runner who went missing after completing Sunday's 'down run' was found by construction workers in a hypothermic state on Monday around 07:30 – some 15 hours after she crossed the finish line. Moira Harding, 54, who was competing in the colours of Fish Hoek Athletic Club in the Western Cape, was found near the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) base in The Point, Durban. The base is situated roughly 7km from the new Comrades Marathon finish on Masabalala Yengwa Avenue at People's Park. The workers initially thought she was out training, but soon realised she was in fact in distress. Harding, who lives in Kommetjie, took a respectable 10:52:03 to complete the 89.98km run, well inside the 12-hour cut-off. At the time of publishing it remains unclear how Harding ended up near the NSRI base, although reports indicate that she is a good friend of one of the station commanders at the base and that it was possible that she could have been walking there to find a safe space. She was found lying on her back in a semi-conscious state and hypothermic having been out in the cold the whole night. Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, provided a key update. Jamieson said a few 'leads' were followed. In providing an update on her condition, he said: 'It had a lot to do with temperature, she had just finished a marathon, a very long run, and your body is already tired. Then with the weather and being outside all night, anyone would be cold, especially with the rain. 'She was extremely cold, hypothermic, which leads to a further state of confusion.' He added that Harding would have been sent to St Augustine's Hospital, but due to the seriousness of her condition, a helicopter was called in and she was taken to Umhlanga Netcare Hospital. Key update on condition of recently found Comrades runner
On Monday it was confirmed that Comrades runner, Moira Harding, had been found after previously being reported missing soon after completing the ultramarathon in Durban on Sunday. Harding was found near the National Sea Rescue Institute base in The Point area of Durban, which is nearly as much as 7km away from the marathon's finishing point at People's Park. After Harding was reported missing, a massive overnight search was launched, and which proved fruitless until the early hours of Monday morning. Garrith Jamieson, the director of ALS Paramedics, has provided a key update when speaking to SABC News . Jamieson said a few 'leads' were followed, and that it remains unclear how Harding ended up near the NSRI base before being airlifted to hospital once she was found between 07:00 and 08:00. In providing an update on her condition, he commented: 'It had a lot to do with temperature, she had just finished a marathon, a very long run, and your body is already tired. Then with the weather and being outside all night, anyone would be cold, especially with the rain. 'She was extremely cold, hyperthermic, which leads to a further state of confusion.' Harding's family are also said to have stated that she was discovered disoriented and rushed to a hospital, believed to be in Umhlanga.
