The Arab League condemns Israeli plans to establish a camp for Palestinians in southern Gaza
The General Secretariat of the Arab League condemns in the strongest terms the recently circulated Israeli plans aimed at confining Palestinians to a small camp in the southern Gaza Strip.
The General Secretariat stresses that this plan, which the occupation calls a "humanitarian city," has nothing to do with civility or humanity.
The Arab League affirms that the plan—rejected in form and substance—reflects a new level of moral and ethical decline by the occupation and reveals an intention to continue its ethnic cleansing plan, reoccupy the Gaza Strip, and possibly prepare it for the expansion of settlements.
The General Secretariat of the League calls on the international community to strongly confront such inhumane plans, which recall the dark events of the twentieth century that the world was supposed to have overcome. It emphasizes that what is required now is to reach a ceasefire agreement as soon as possible, and for Israel to stop putting a spoke in the wheel, stalling, and creating every obstacle to avoid the ceasefire.

Egypt calls claims it blocks Gaza aid ‘malicious propaganda,' blames Israel for Rafah closure
Egypt on Thursday rejected accusations that it is contributing to the siege of the Gaza Strip by preventing the entry of humanitarian aid, denouncing the claims as 'malicious propaganda' and stating that the Rafah crossing is blocked by Israeli forces on the Palestinian side. In a statement, Cairo condemned what it called 'unjustified accusations' and stressed their 'superficiality and illogical nature.' It said the claims contradict Egypt's position and interests, and ignore the role it has played since the start of the Israeli aggression on the enclave. The statement highlighted Egypt's 'strenuous efforts' to reach a ceasefire, its leadership in relief operations and the delivery of humanitarian aid through the Rafah crossing, and its efforts to promote an Arab-backed plan for the reconstruction of the Strip. These actions, it said, are aimed at saving innocent Palestinians, enabling them to remain on their land, and resisting attempts at forced displacement. Egypt said it was fully aware that 'malicious organisations and entities' are behind the propaganda, which it said aims only to create mistrust among Arab peoples and to distract Arab and international public opinion from the real causes of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza. 'Egypt affirms that the Rafah crossing has never been closed from the Egyptian side, and that the crossing on the Palestinian side is occupied by the Israeli occupation authority, which prevents access through it,' the statement read. Cairo called for extreme caution in dealing with the 'lies being deliberately promoted' by using the tragedy of the Palestinian people to serve 'malicious narratives' that are part of the war and aim to sow division. The statement concluded by affirming that Egypt will continue its efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people of the Strip, secure a ceasefire, ensure the entry of humanitarian aid, and begin reconstruction. It also said it would continue its efforts to unify the West Bank and Gaza, ensure the territorial continuity of Palestinian lands, and start a political process to implement the two-state solution and establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy and the lines of June 4, 1967.

73-year-old woman accused of plotting to kill Israeli PM with rocket launcher - Region
A terminally ill 73-year-old Israeli woman has been charged with plotting to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a rocket launcher, prosecutors said on Thursday. According to the indictment, the woman, an anti-government activist from Tel Aviv whose identity has not been released, decided to kill Netanyahu after she learned of her diagnosis. She consequently decided to "sacrifice" her life in order to "save" the State of Israel from the current government, the prosecutor quoted her saying. She reportedly shared her plan with another activist and asked him to help her purchase a rocket-propelled grenade to carry out the assassination. She also asked him for his assistance in collecting information on the prime minister's agenda, movements, and security arrangements, the prosecutor said. The man refused to cooperate and tried to dissuade her but after realising that his attempts were in vain, he reported her to the authorities, leading to her arrest. The prosecutor requested to keep the woman under house arrest until the end of the legal proceedings, arguing that she still poses a danger, as evidenced by her statements that she was willing to die as a "martyr". An Israeli man was arrested last year after threatening to kill Netanyahu in a social media post. High-profile political assassinations are not unheard of in Israel. In 1995, prime minister Yitzhak Rabin was killed by a far-right militant for his endorsement of the Oslo peace process with Palestinians. Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:
