You've probably seen it already: the Nothing Phone 3 ditches the flashy full-back lights of its predecessors for a new trick: the so-called Glyph Matrix. It's basically a round, dot-style display on the back made up of ~500 tiny LEDs, giving off vibes of a retro pixel display. It's a pixelized tiny mirror, if you like.Fans of the Glyph Mirror style can now check out Matrices – a fun and functional new tool made especially for the Nothing community. By the way, not everyone seems to know that there's a Nothing Community:Back to the Matrices utility. With it, you can create clean, matrix-style visuals for your wallpapers and profile pictures. What started as a simple web app (Community Glyph Mirror) to generate glyph-themed profile pics ahead of the Phone (3) launch has now evolved into a polished, powerful utility. Now, you can take those gritty, low-res images you love and transform them into sharp, intentional designs. Personally, I find it amusing and it blends naturally with the overall Nothing vibbe. The tool is packed with thoughtful features:There's a clear roadmap ahead – even more creative options could be added beyond wallpapers and profile pictures. So dive in, experiment! Here are some examples:

T-Mobile users have a rare opportunity to double-dip on a great deal right now [BOGO]

T-Mobileroutinely runs some variation of Buy One, Get One (BOGO) offers to hook users up with free or massively discounted lines. One such offer is about to end today and will be replaced by a new offer soon, giving you a rare opportunity to stack two BOGO deals. Insider SettleAsRobin has revealed that T-Mobile users can qualify for two BOGO deals if they act fast. The deal gets you one free line for adding one paid one. The current deal ends on July 30, with a similar one expected to arrive the next day on July 31. This means that you can max out the deal by snagging the current BOGO today and then grabbing it once again when it returns tomorrow. Some T-Mobile customers can get two free lines. For new users, a minimum of two paid lines is required to be eligible for the BOGO deal. So, if there are no lines on your account right now, you will need to pay for the first two to qualify for a free line, and then add another tomorrow for another free line. The only catch here is, of course, that you must pay for one to get the free one. That's not bad at all, considering that after combining the deals, you will have two free lines. For the full terms and conditions, you'll want to get in touch with a sales representative. You'll likely have to pay for all the lines upfront, but the cost will be reimbursed in the form of monthly credits. There's typically a cap of 12 free lines for each customer, so these offers might not be for you if you have maxed out. Also, the paid and free lines are usually paired for line, so you will probably be required to keep the paid lines to continue enjoying the free lines. If you have been thinking about adding a family member to your account, this is a great time to do so. It's deals like these that make people stick with T-Mobile despite the grievances they have with the carrier.

T-Mobile has silently enabled a new feature for Samsung and Motorola users

A phone on T-Mobile's network connected to Starlink. | Image Credit - PCMag T-Mobile 's Starlink-powered T-Satellite feature isn't meant to replace terrestrial service. It's a good fallback option for when communication systems fail or when you veer out to an area with no cellular service. Until recently, only texting was supported, but now the company has also activated Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). T-Mobile 's T-Satellite service officially launched on July 23, after months of beta testing. Roughly a week later, the company has enabled support for MMS, allowing you to send more than just plain text messages to friends and family. This means you can now send images, audio, and video via satellite. PCMag tested out the service and came away mostly impressed. The outlet took the feature for a spin in Southern California. Connecting to the service is a seamless affair and happens automatically when you enter a dead zone. T-Mobile even sends you a text to let you know that you have established a satellite connection. You don't necessarily need to hold the phone up to the sky to maintain the connection. You may get service even inside you the moment, only Samsung and Motorola phones are supported. PCMag was able to send different multimedia items using a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. The phone also managed to receive GIFs and audio clips, though it took a while to download is the case with texts sent over satellite, MMS sent via satellite are subject to delays, so the experience wasn't comparable to ground-based some instances, it took up to two minutes for a picture to go through. That's to be expected with satellite-based communication, though, and the bottom line is that every image was sent successfully. Videos took even longer to send, even though they were short clips of 5 seconds. It took more than 10 minutes for the first video to go through, and the second one took over 20 minutes. It took a long time to send videos using T-Satellite. | Image Credit - PCMag This was another demonstration of how far ahead T-Mobile is of not only its direct rivals but also the likes of Globalstar, which powers iPhone's satellite messaging. The MMS feature doesn't work on the iPhone right now, but given that T-Mobile is swift in expanding support, it shouldn't be long before Apple's smartphones and more Android handsets are supported. T-Mobile plans to introduce data services on October 1, and voice support is also expected in the future. T-Satellite is only free for T-Mobile customers on Experience Beyond and Go5G Next plans. For everyone else, there's a monthly charge. The addition of MMS support might compel those with supported phones to give the service a try.

That T-Mobile freebie you've been waiting for has been delayed for 'unknown reasons'

You probably never expected a water bottle to make not one and not two but three different headlines (in the space of just a few weeks) on a website primarily dedicated to phones and other (sophisticated) mobile devices, but here I am, giving you the news I know so many of you are interested in and nobody wanted to hear today. This is definitely not the world's most valuable freebie, but it will certainly come in handy... at some point. A different source on Reddit (who also seems to know what he's talking about) claims "shipment delay issues" are behind the highly unusual last-minute change. In other words, T-Mo may have had trouble procuring enough water bottles to satisfy your presumably sky-high demand, so instead of potentially running out of inventory within minutes of launching the deal today, a move to "either August 5 or August 12" was decided. That definitely sounds like a wise call, even though it makes this week's T-Mobile Tuesdays slate wholly unexciting... just like so many other past collections of similar goodies and offers. It remains to be seen now if this unexpected delay will impact in any way the other big gift T-Mobile is planning to give all customers with no strings attached on August 26. Probably not, but it might be smart to not take anything for granted yet.
