On Shah Rukh Khan
'I really like him. In all my interactions with him — in the five to seven times we've met — starting from Raees, where I shot with him for four to five days, and even after that, whenever we met, he always made me feel like I was the closest person to him. He's a wonderful human being. He has some amazing qualities. Every time I've met him, he's made me feel important.'
On rejecting Ramayana
'I was offered the role, but the timing didn't match. It required a specific schedule because Vibhishan's scenes need to be with Raavana. I'm sure Raavana's dates were more important than mine. I think Yash from KGF is playing Raavana.'
Jaideep Ahlawat of Paatal Lok fame recently told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview that he got hundreds of scripts similar to his character on the show and a blend of Mirzapur too.
The actor also revealed, 'A time comes when you need to do something and you get a good role. It gets out with people liking it but you still don't have work. After Raazi, I didn't have work. And you are like, 'what went wrong?' Everybody is praising it. Everybody is talking about the role.'
Renowned for his versatility and the range of captivating performances, Jaideep Ahlawat is a force to reckon with by being one of the most groundbreaking actors we have in the Indian entertainment industry

Jaideep Ahlawat joins Shah Rukh Khan's ‘King', says SRK personally reached out for the role
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has confirmed his role in King, the upcoming action-thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Siddharth Anand. Speaking in a recent interview, Ahlawat shared how he came on board the project, revealing that it was Khan himself who intervened to make it happen. According to Ahlawat, director Siddharth Anand was initially hesitant to offer him the role, considering it a smaller part following Ahlawat's performance in Jewel Thief. 'SRK sir had been thinking about this for quite some time... But Khan saab being Khan saab, he said, 'I'll talk to him.' Now who could say no to him?' Ahlawat recalled. The actor praised Shah Rukh Khan for his warmth and humility. Recounting their earlier interaction on the sets of Raees, Ahlawat said the superstar always made him feel welcome and valued. 'He's a wonderful human being... Every time I've met him, he's made me feel important,' he added. King, currently in production, marks another collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand after the success of Pathaan. The film also stars Suhana Khan and Saurabh Shukla. While the full cast is yet to be officially announced, reports suggest names like Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, and Anil Kapoor will be involved. Ahlawat was last seen in Jewel Thief, where his performance as the antagonist drew critical acclaim, particularly for his acting range and unexpected dance sequences. The release date for King has not yet been announced.

Margaret Cho says Ellen DeGeneres was 'not nice' to her for most her career
ANI Published 23 Jun 2025, 09:19 AM IST Washington DC [US], June 23 (ANI): Actor-comedian Margaret Cho has accused Ellen DeGeneres of treating her poorly throughout most of her career, despite their long history in the comedy world. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cho, in a recent episode of The Kelly Mantle Show, said, "Ellen was really weird and not nice to me for most of my career...I opened for her in the 1980s, when she was a headliner in comedy clubs, way before her big fame. Later, when I would do her talk show in the 2000s, she acted like we had just met." "And I'm like, 'Bitch, what?' That's weird. We go way back. It's so creepy and weird," the Grammy and Emmy nominee joked. Cho also spoke about an incident involving the late singer David Bowie. She attended one of his concerts wearing a "Chinese emperor outfit." Later, Bowie appeared on DeGeneres' show and reportedly complimented Cho's outfit several times. But Cho said the compliments were cut from the final show. "The producer, who's a really good friend of mine, had to call me and tell me, 'I can't believe she did this, but she cut it out of the show.'" Cho recalled. "'But you need to know that he was going on and on about your outfit. God said your name. He loves you.'" In 2020, Cho also commented on the allegations of a toxic work environment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, while speaking on the Hot Takes & Deep Dives podcast, she said, "I think she definitely is scary. I'm still scared of Ellen. Everyone should be scared of Ellen. I would have no idea what it would be like to work for her." The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended in 2022 after 19 seasons. Ellen had also faced criticism and controversy after reports detailed claims of a toxic workplace. (ANI)
