The Cleveland Cavaliers could be without their All-Star guard for a massive Game 4 in which they have a chance to close things out. The Cavaliers could be without Darius Garland, who continues to deal with a toe injury.

Photo byCavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson was quite vague when discussing the possibility of Garland suiting up for Game 4.
"Listen, I'd love for him to play, obviously," Atkinson said. "I'm a conservative doctor. I'm going to prescribe the conservative thing. If they give me two choices, that would be my recommendation. Be more conservative."
Garland was unable to give it a go in Game 3. Nonetheless, the Cavaliers took care of business and in a big way on the road, coming away with a win and a commanding 3-0 series lead, 124-87.
The 25-year-old has been fantastic in the series, averaging 24.0 points per game, 7.0 assists, and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from beyond the arc.
In the regular season, Garland played in 75 games, where he averaged 20.6 points per game, 6.7 assists, and 2.9 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will aim to finish the series on Monday, whether or not Garland is available. If Garland is unable to suit up, Cleveland will likely once again turn to Sam Merrill, who filled in as a starter during Game 3.
Despite Garland's uncertain status, the Cavaliers are in a strong position to close things out. According to ESPN Bet, Cleveland enters as heavy road favorites with a -8.5 spread. Garland being the only name on the injury report is a positive sign overall for the Cavs as they look to advance.
The Heat will do all they can to take advantage of possibly no Garland this time and force a Game 5. If the Heat happen to come away with the win, Game 5 will be in front of the Cleveland fans on Wednesday.
The Cavaliers will be massive favorites in that contest, and Garland may be available for that contest.

Jarren Duran on Move? Insider Reveals Red Sox 'Will Try' to Trade an Outfielder

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. The Boston Red Sox are 34-26 this season. They are nine games back of the New York Yankees and three games back of a wild card berth. At this point, they are not solidified as buyers or sellers. The Red Sox could flip a switch and turn themselves into undoubted buyers at the July 31 deadline. However, that may not change their desire to move one of their outfielders at the trade deadline. The Athletic's Jim Bowden revealed the team's plan at this year's deadline. "After subpar starts, the (Atlanta) Braves, Red Sox and (Texas) Rangers don't appear to be postseason teams this year, but most in the industry believe they will make trades to try to improve their respective rosters for the rest of this season and next rather than being typical sellers," wrote Bowden. "The Braves will focus on acquiring more pitching (starting and relieving). The Red Sox will try to deal one of their outfielders for starting pitching help and an upgrade at first base." Elsa/Getty Images The Red Sox have a logjam in their outfield, and it is about to get even worse. Wilyer Abreu was placed on the injured list to make way for Roman Anthony, the No. 1 prospect in baseball. However, when Abreu is healthy, the Red Sox will have Abreu, Anthony, Ceddanne Rafaela and Jarren Duran. Add Masataka Yoshida to that mix and something will have to change. Abreu was a Gold Glove Award winner as a rookie and will not be a free agent until 2030. Rafaela has already signed a long-term extension. Anthony is a highly touted prospect and figures to be the future of the Red Sox. Yoshida's contract will be difficult to trade. That leaves Duran, who was an All-Star last year and has already received some trade interest. Duran will be a free agent before Abreu and Rafaela, and has great trade value. Moving him could be a move the Red Sox make regardless of their record. Who they get in return could be dictated by the record, however. If they are out of contention, they could covet more prospects. If they are in the postseason race, they could target starting pitchers with some club control to help them win now. Eagles' AJ Brown Thrilled With Cowboys Acquisition of George Picks

The Philadelphia Eagles always knew that their run for a second straight NFC East title would be far more difficult than last year. The mere fact there hasn't been a repeat winner since the 2004 team, and the Washington Commanders improving their roster over the offseason, only enhanced that belief. Advertisement And now, maybe? There's another team ready to get back to competing with the Eagles for NFC East supremacy. The Dallas Cowboys. While Dallas' 7-10 record was nothing to celebrate last season, they were one of the most injured units in sports last year. It's no wonder why the Dak Prescott-led team faltered midway through the year like they did. During the offseason, they were also able to make some major acquisitions, including the trade for Pittsburgh Steelers wideout George Pickens. While the Georgia star has never been to a Pro Bowl or All-Pro team, he possesses freakish athleticism that will make NFL defenses nervous. Advertisement It's why, following the trade, Eagles All-Pro A.J. Brown - in an unusual way - sort of celebrated the move. 'I like that, I ain't gonna lie,' said Brown on his YouTube channel. 'We're going to have to worry about (Dallas), for sure. We're going to have to worry about them. I like the trade. I do like the trade.' 'I like George Pickens, I like CeeDee Lamb. And they collab. It's going to be exciting to watch. Because all that does is bring the best out of us. So, if we know how they coming, we are going to have to step it up.' The league is always better when the Eagles and Cowboys are at each other's throats for the division crown. It seems, after a year hiatus, that fans of both teams might just be able to see that once again. How the Clippers Engineered the NBA's Best Home Court Advantage

Last fall, when the Los Angeles Clippers lost their first four home games of the season, team owner Steve Ballmer was in a bad way. This was the first season in the Intuit Dome, a $2 billion arena constructed at Ballmer's personal expense and to his idiosyncratic demands. The idea, as Bloomberg Businessweek reported last year before Intuit opened, was to create a raucous environment where fans would help propel the Clippers to victory. 'I'm thinking, 'Oh s---, oh s---, oh s---, we jinxed it,'' Ballmer says during an interview in New York City in May. He's sitting at an empty table in a windowless conference room in a Midtown hotel where, later that evening, he'll accept Sports Business Journal 's award naming the Intuit Dome as facility of the year. The Clippers finally got a win there, on the fifth try, against the San Antonio Spurs, in November. After that game, Ballmer says, he spoke with the team in the locker room. 'I said, 'Jeez, guys, thank you. This thing was going to get demolished.''
